With AP holders now able to buy the DDP, I'm thinking about doing the DxDDP for my May trip. No way could I eat three meals and two snacks a day, but I'm thinking I would love to do a TS for an early lunch, then do a Signature (2TS) meal almost every night for dinner. I just called Disney Dining and was shocked that I was able to get every ADR I wanted on the exact night I asked for. Maybe it's not going to be too busy?

Here's what I got:

Sat 5/3
L Le Cellier
D Tokyo Dining
Sun 5/4
L Chef's de France
D Flying Fish
Mon 5/5
B Konas
L Grand Floridian Cafe
D Narcoosee
Tues 5/6
B WCC
L WCC
D Kona
Wed 5/7
L Tutto Italia
D California Grill
Thurs 5/8
L Olivia's
D Citricos
Fri 5/9
L Rose & Crown
D Wolfgang Pucks
Sat
L Yak & Yeti

I think I may cancel one (or maybe both) the breakfasts, along with Tokyo Dining and Wolfgang Pucks in order to book two more Signature restaurants. That way I would have Signature restaurants every night, except one.

What do you think? I really prefer TS meals and have been wanting to try some of these Signature Dining places. Do you think the DXDDP is worth it for a solo? With fourteen snacks included I'd be able to bring back rice crispie MM heads (or fudge) for all my coworkers.

Would you do the DxDDP as a solo? I love to eat, by the way.

I too am going in May. I called Disney to see if I could get the AP room discount and when he told me about the new DDP discount for AP holders I was shocked. I'm now paying less for my trip then what I originally was paying for the room only. I don't normally eat 3 meals a day but I can't pass that deal up. :yay: :yay:

I would love to do the deluxe plan and try some signature dinners. But I love being in the parks until closing so I'm not sure I'll ever get to it.

Well I'm doing the Premium plan for my solo trip at the end of Aug/Sept. I'm planning my ADR right now, I know it's too much food, but I want to try out new restaurants at WDW
Date Breakfast Lunch Supper
29-Aug-08 LTT Jiko's
30-Aug-08 Room Service California Grill
31-Aug-08 Boma Biergarten HDDR
1-Sep-08 Chef Mickey's Brown Derby
2-Sep-08 WCC Fulton Crab House
3-Sep-08 Room Service Yachtman
4-Sep-08 Room Service Narcoosee's
5-Sep-08 Room Service Le Cellier Artist Point
6-Sep-08 Cape May Bomas
7-Sep-08 Room Service

I'm using Room Service for breakfast at AKL due to early times for me to take the various WDW tours.

Is there a discount on the DXDDP for AP holders or is it $69 a day?

The answer to this would make a big difference in my planning.

Anybody know?

No discount, I afraid! We pay full price just like everyone else. The only difference is we no longer have to buy a one day park ticket, in order to purchase it.

If it's something you'll enjoy, go fot it!

I'm not much of a foodie, but I love reading about other people's dining adventures! :)
