Do you tip the Concierge service maids the same as the day maids? I know Concierge maids come in for turndown service but I
was not sure if you tip the concierge maids too.:o

I leave between $3 and $5 each morning for the regular servicing of the room. In the evening, I leave another $2 for the turndown service. Although some housekeepers only turn down the bed, most tidy a bit, replace used towels, take out the trash, and replace paper products as needed.

We had two different experiences with turndown service. Last summer it was great. She turned the beds down, took the towels and any dishes we had in the room and she emptied the garbage. She even turned the tv on to play jazz music. It was like having your room cleaned 2x's in one day. On our trip in January we just got our beds turned down and clean towels. I would just put the tray with the dishes out in the hallway. It was kind of a bummer because it was so nice to come back to the room and see it so clean when we there in the summer. I don't know if the summer houskeeper was doing more than her share or if the winter was slacking on her job?
