My daughter and I are going to All Star Mu in 9 days for her 8th birthday. She originally wanted Movies but it wasn't avail. Should I keep trying or is music just as nice? We have a preferred room. We want to be fairly close (as most) to the food court and bus stop. Where should we request staying?? Thanks.

Hi Kimba,
My husband and I stayed at All Star Music about 5 years ago. At the time the Movies one wasn't yet available. In my opinion, you should probably keep trying to go for the Movies. Although the Music was totally acceptable, I found the theming to be a bit more boring than the Sports. From everything I've read, the Movies is even better.
Don't get me wrong, the Music is still a great resort (I think anything on the grounds is great), but if you can get into the Movies, go for it.
My opinion,
Sandi

If you end up at Music - ask for a room in Jazz - it's close without being in the "prefered" and thus more expensive Caylpso section.
Movies is the best of the 3 All-stars- theme wise - so keep trying to get it. Of course, it is just a short walk away so you can go check it out, even use the pools and food court.

I wouldn't worry in the least about ASMu. My DGD(7) and I stayed there last April and she LOVED IT! The only difference I would think is the big icons.....and really, when the kids are at the resort they're so busy swimming/etc that they don't care. There isn't anything offered in ASMo that isn't offered in ASMu. We stayed in the Jazz building too & found it very conveniant to everything! We're going back in October and my DGD was disappointed we weren't staying at the same resort. She changed her tune when I told her CSR had a big waterslide!
Have fun!
