Just back and booked again

DW and myself are just back from the 3/2 7-day. What a great trip. We booked the 9/14 7-day western while onboard. We suprised the kids with this since they did not get to go this time. Now I guess it's back to the countdown.

The only difference between booking yourself and on the ship that I can tell is the onboard credit. We got $200 per stateroom. We booked connecting cat 9's. The prices are around $1890 for 1 adult and 1 child. Also booked a cat 6 for $2590. I think this is the same as the castaway club discount.

Interesting though - the onboard agent did tell me Disney is going to do away with the Castaway Club. Looks like the only incentive will be for booking onboard

We are getting a shipboard credit for Oct 19 cruise and March 15, 2003 cruise. Oct 19, 2002 cat 4 credit $200. March 15, 2003 cat 8 $100.

Did you say that Castaway Club was being done away with?!?!?!?! I just got my package and was so looking forward to getting the magazine I had heard about.....NOW WHAT!?!?!?!

That is what I was told. It may be as simple as they will no longer offer the credit unless you book while onboard. The CM may have been mistaken, that is what I'm hoping at least. She did not however give me a time frame for this.
