We've always gotten a quiet pool view when staying at BCV...we've always enjoyed it and I'm afraid that we'd be disappointed with another view.
Tell me about your favorite view and what you enjoy about it. I'm thinking we need to "venture" away from the tried and true.
Thanks!

Oh I have been on BCV and as long as I am there it does not bother me,LOL.I just take what they have availible.Which by far the Epcot view is the best love being able to see the fireworks.but you can just request it as you know nothing is guaranteed.

I like it down by the canal. It's close to parking/steps as well.

I've never had a quiet pool view. My "tried and true" is the woods view. Unfortunately, however, MS always insisted to me there's no woods view, so I ask for "upper floor, quiet area" and always get a woods view. I can hear the backround music in WS, see Illuminations (from some rooms better than others), and yes, it's very quiet and peaceful.

Quiet pool view is our request as well. I've had EPCOT view- and didn't like it. But we love the quiet pool view- it's so relaxing!

IMO, BCV is more about SAB and proximity to Epcot. I haven't been overly impressed with any view we've had.

I'd agree with the above post. Don't worry about asking for a particular view.

The first two stays ('02 and '03) we had a wonderful direct view of Spaceship Earth from the 5th floor that I wouldn't have traded for anything other than an MK view from Polynesian or Contemporary. But they stopped accepting "Epcot View" requests and we haven't had that view since. It is only available from a limited number of upper floor rooms, and with Soarin' and the trees growing taller, I really don't know what that view is like anymore.
Pool view doesn't do much for me but any view at BCV is perfectly acceptable.

Our first year at BC we stayed in a 2br on the 1st floor to the right of the quiet pool. We could walk right out our back door and get to the pool. Our view was a beach fence with sand and sea grass. I was convinced that we needed to always get this room.
Last year we stayed in an end unit on the 2nd floor woods view and I LOVED it! It was so private. We could see the fireworks from Epcot at night and every morning the sun filled our villa. We had a staircase right outside our room that went down to the walkway that takes you to the boardwalk. It was very convenient walking to and from Epcot.
I think that I will opt for the woods view again this year.:thumbsup2

Thank you for the link. I guess I'm really looking for pictures from anyone that might have had a first floor BCV, quiet pool view. I am just wondering how far is the pool from your room, can you see the kids in the pool from the room, is the noise level a factor, etc.

Pool views can be close or far from the pool. You can get an idea from some of the pool view pics on the site.
We prefer to use the leisure pools and have found the noise factor to be a non-issue. Having said that, we have had times were we've asked ourselves: "where are these kids' parents?" There are times when other members idea of a peaceful vacation will impede upon your idea of a peaceful vacation.
I'd say any room/view at BCV is great and enjoy your stay.

Never been on the first floor-that would be convenient to swim. This was our favorite room so far-dedicated 2BR. Pics from our balcony, but I cant remember the room number-it was 5th floor and towards the parking lot end somewhat.

If you want Illuminations views, forget BVC and book the Boarwdwalk, BW view. Here is a shot of illuminations I took two weeks ago (Friday, 2/22) from the balcony of BWV villa # 5007:

My parents were in 5007 last November. It's a great room for watching Illuminations. :)
