Why some post titles BOLD and others (mine!) not??

OK, I cannot figure this out. Can someone please enlighten me?? How come some posts are in bold and others are not? I don't think mine are ever in bold, is that something I can control as the poster?

Posts that you haven't read or clicked on are in bold. Once you click on it, they go to regular font.

also, threads goto bold when there is a lot of activity on the thread, but once you have read it, it goes back to normal.
