I just posted to Shirley's Spring has sprung thread and an old rhyme came into my head:
March Winds brings April Showers,
April Showers brings May Flowers.
Can you tell me if there was any more to this rhyme? I don't recall how I learnt this or when, but wondered if there was any more :)
Do you know any others?
I know of the Mondays Child but can never remember it fully.
What little ditties do you have for rembering stuff:
I before E except after C
and for spelling Necessary I alwas used to say:
Never
Eat
Cheese
Eat
Salmon
Sandwiches
And
Remain
Young
Come on - anymore?????? :)

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
but the child who's born on the sabbath day is happy and blah blah and blah blah and gay...............?
Totally off the top of my head, so I expect I've muddled all the days up and I can't remember the end!
My Gran used to tell me loads of rhymes. I'll see if I can remember some.
