CR Garden Room??

Anyone stay at the CR in a garden room recently? I assume these rooms are located in the wings. I've read mixed reviews in the past. We're already staying at the Dolphin but was thinking of moving to a MK resort room our last 2 nites since we plan to go to MK these days (if the price is right:)

Any updated feedback on these rooms, please post. I'm also curious how long the walk is to the monorail from these rooms and if it's mostly walking indoors or out? Are the rooms "fresh", do they have daybeds or just 2 queens or 1 king...etc. Thanks.

Yes, we just stayed in a Garden room in January and LOVED it!!! Our room was actually overlooking Bay Lake in the South Wing... probably now called a Wing room... they are about $10 more per night... we had only made ressies for a Garden room, however. Anyway, the rooms were HUGE! The bathrooms were HUGE! The decor was bright and whimsical. The walk to the Tower was about 5 minutes, which after staying at CBR, we didn't find bad at all! The pools were nice, but it was too cold to swim for our taste!The white sand beaches were meticulously maintained. The resort was full of the energy and hustle and bustle of the big city, but staying in the wings was much more relaxing. You can't beat the convenience. The CM's were all very kind and accomodating. I just can't say enough great things about our stay. I hope you will enjoy yours as well!:cool:

I agree with eeyore0062. We love the rooms that are in the wings. They are so peaceful. A lot of people prefer the tower rooms but I have nothing but good to say about the wings. The walk to the monorail and shops is not bad. you can walk through the halls and then under a covered path a little way to the tower or walk outside. Its probably a little quicker if you walk outside. The Contemporary is very convenient to the MK with the walkway and the monorail.

Just a note that starting 4/1 the North Garden Wing will be largely occupied by Shades of Green relocation. Also, North Garden Wing is non-smoking, while there are smoking rooms in South Wing.
