Have you though about using Priceline? You can get a 3* in the WDW area for about $35, in the Universal area for $30. These are NICE hotels too. I love priceline for one night stays. Goto :
www.biddingfortravel.com if you want to learn more about it. Look under hotel FAQ and visit the orlando area post to see what the latest hotels are coming up.

We got the Hilton at DD for $55 for our first night through priceline. The room was huge and gorgeous, and we walked to DD in a couple of minutes. It was great!

Last trip we arrived at 9pm the day before our YC ressies started and stayed at the Days Inn by the crossroads shopping center (Right across the street from the downtown disney entrance) for $39. It was a clean servicable room, small bar, pool, and close enough to get the excitment for what was to come.:)

We stayed at Magic Castle (5 miles from disney)

Rates as low as $29

Clean and free breakfast

Hope this helps if you don't get anything with priceline

Don't know anything about the price, but we have some friends who always stay at Hampton Inn.
