Does anyone need one of the 100 American Airlines miles coupons from the back of the Kellogs cereal boxes? I have one that I won't need. PM me with your address and I'll mail it to you.

Update - someone has claimed it. I'll post if I get another.

The coupon was on the back of Kellogs Granola. I think it's also on other "adult" cereals (not Frosted Flakes or Fruit Loops). It says you must collect 5 of them to receive 500 miles and the offer expires on 11/30/02. You mail in the certificates to get the miles. It doesn't say anything about how many sets of 5 you can send in.

There has also been certificates for those miles on Kelloggs Nutrigrain bars and waffles(may have been only the Special K, ones I can't remember) and also on other types of Kelloggs cereals. Does anyone know if there is any way to trade these miles for Hilton points?

mar3990-Yes you can exchange American Airline frequent flyer miles for Hilton honors points. There's a minimum of 5,000 miles needed. It's an even exchange 5000AA ff miles=5,000 hilton honors points.

ALSO-if you can find 5 Kellogg's Smart Start cereals (I found some at my Target) with the pink award mile certs on the back, Kellogg's will double your 500 AAff miles to 1,000 if you make a $10 donation to the Susan G Komen Foundation ( a breast cancer foundation-very worhty IMHO). Offer expires on 11/30/02 or when supplies are exhausted.

to LI Debbie, I want to thank you for letting me know that you can exchange points for hilton honor points. I went on AA website and can not find where you can do this. Do you know/remember? Thanks so much. I put an email into aa, lets see how long it takes to get back to me.
Thanks!!

Here's what you do.

Go to www.hiltonhhonors.com Click on "hhonors rewards" on the green bars. Next click on "reward exchange" on the blue bars. Then in the center of the page, click on "airline miles." Follow the directions-call the number given for American Airlines. If you scroll down the page, you'll see the exchange rate.

I've never done this exchange myself, so I don't know how long it takes to post the exchange.

You don't do the exchanging at Hilton. You request the reward for the hilton points from AA (I forget the exact redemption code). Then you send the certificate AA sends you to Hilton for your points. Takes about 6-8 weeks total.

I've been collecting these since summer 2000. We eat a lot of cereal and like some of the kinds in the promotion - especially Cracklin' Oat Bran and Granola. I have about 18,000 miles now and not much of that is from actually flying. Most of it is from this promotion. I'll be sad when it ends.
