I don't know about addicted lol. but I've been reading these boards for years. I don't post much unless someone asks a question and I can help them out. But, any time I need to know anything about Disney this is the best place to get quick answers.
We are thinking about buying a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) at the Animal Kingdom Villas so I'm back to the old DIS boards for help with this.
It's seems that about 99% of the members here are women so we better keep it cool :cool1: or they might run us off. j/k

We're all booked for WDW in May at POR. Even went out and got a new digital camera yesterday. I'm ready.

I just discovered these boards very recently, but am already hooked... :surfweb:
Our Disney experience as a family consists (so far) of one week at Disneyland (off-resort), but am in the advanced planning stages of a major extended family splurge at WDW (a week at Beach Club for 14 people), and we are also very seriously considering buying into DVC as well. Fifteen winters in northern Alberta tends to make one yearn for a warmer climate about this time of year... -40 temps will do that
Look forward to getting to know the other Disney Dads on here, and taking full advantage of your knowledge and experience when it comes time to plan that big vacation.

Funny you should ask;) I like Steinlager from New Zealand and Pilsner Urquell from the Czech Republic.
Anybody familiar with the Unibroues they serve at Le Cellier? One they serve at LC is a Maudite, and I noticed Kroger had a Maudite in the cooler the other day. It's about $8-9 a bottle (liter size)
but I may have to sample one of those.

Along with Harpoon I mentioned previously, I like pretty much all the Shipyard (Portland, ME) offerings. My staple beer is a toss up between Shipyard Export Ale and Old Thumper (ESB). Besides Coors Light my summer beer I also like Guinness. I was blessed to attend the Denver GABF in 2006 for the first time and it was a riot. DW and I loved Denver. The beer talk is rolling now. :drinking1

Raises hand! I probably spend WAY more time reading here than I should! My whole family is Disney addicted, but I am by far the worst. In all honesty, there is not a day I don't at least stop by here, talk about Disney, or think about planning our next trip. (Come on April 25th)!!!!!!!! :cool1:
Staying at POFQ from April 25th till May 2nd of this year, 3rd trip in a year, but probably the last for at least 2 years due to ah uh, well, a new arrival being on the way. :goodvibes That's OK though, I can get my daily fix right here, and through the Podcast. Speaking of the Podcasts, that's another thing I can't get enough of. I have a short daily commute to work each day, and I usually hope that between the e-mail and regular ones, they last me through the week! :lmao:

I'm a big steelers fan . I am actually on the season tickets waiting list for the past 5 years. only have maybe another 15 years LOL. I have only been to 2 game hard to get tickets. I have been to both stadiums once. I use to be a big hockey fan. But since they more the Hartford whalers. I kind of boycotted hockey. I use to go to about 40 games a season. when they bring back a team to hartford then I will watch again. but till then forget. the problem I see with hockey is that they tried to grow to fast and it killed the sport also with moving all the old franchises. whalers, northstars, nordics. then starting teams in phoneix, atlanta ,dallas, north carolina these are not hockey cities
I am not sure how many people they draw in north carolina now but for the first couple years they were lucky to have 3000 fans and they gave a car away every game. I remember Gretzky wanted to buy a seat to the game he was playing in because he figure he had a 1 in 3000 chance to win a car good odds. but then he found out they were sold out because he was playing there. things the owner did to draw people . In hartford every game drew over 12000 seats and the coliseum held 15,000 . then he said they didn't have enough attendance. he's crazy. well I stop talking about this . well hope I can get some steelers tickets this year. one more thing just a little remembrance from the past

Wow, this thread hit 6 pages in a week.. I don't feel so strange now.
And after reading through 6 pages, I will say this thread has a distinctly different tone than many of the other womanly dominated threads. You don't see Beer, the Steelers, hockey and other "manly" things very much on the other sections... Except maybe the Camping at Disney board.
My DW asks what I'm looking at on the computer. I just tell her "the usual". She says; "I figured"

Sorry for the late reply. I missed this the other day.
I haven't done RP Driving Experience but my racing partner did it 2 years ago and loved it. He had a bunch of Am Ex points and took the full 30 lap course. He had a blast. We've been autocrossing and road course racing for a few years and he said RP was one of the best times he's had in a car. The speeds are awesome and once you get some confidence (after 10-15 laps) then they give you a little more latitude. I think he was lapping in the upper 130's and that's pretty fast for a little D-oval.

I have to agree! The beer flight was awesome. And speaking of the Raglan Road, we tried it for the 1st time in December. Although they had lots of good looking items on the dinner menu, DW and I were really just in the mood for a burger.
We asked the waitress if they can make one since it was on the lunch menu. Well they did, and I have to say it was one of the BEST burgers we ever had. Great compliment to the beer flights!

I'm pretty much hooked on WDW in general, and I get hooked on the DIS when I'm about to go back to the World. So, that right about now is when I'm getting back on the DIS with increased frequency.
My DW did not grow up on WDW like I did, but going back this May was HER idea . . . and as we've only been married two years, it didn't take long for her to get hooked on WDW.
Cool to hear about the beer flight at Rag Rd - we've got an ADR planned for there one night, so I'll have to check it out - er, drink it down.

Add me to the addicted list. I am on every day trying to find something new or save some money on my Disney World trip in November. I am always scanning the transportion section trying to find a cheaper rental car, even though I have an excellent price on one.
I started on the www.wdwplanner.com. Nice bulletin board but not a lot of action. I moved up to www.wdwmagic.com. I thought that I had found the one, LOL. Then I went to a presentation at my local library for people planning a trip to WDW. They mentioned www.disboards.com. I checked out the website and got hooked. My wife probably thinks I am nuts. I have the laptop on my lap every evening cruising the boards for info and adding in my two cents.:woohoo:

DW and I took our oldest grandson to WDW 4/14-18, Pop Century and had a wonderful time. Didn't think it would be a big spring break week, but it was crazy crowded. Just took it easy and stayed on kid speed (he is almost 4 - 4 tomorrow, in fact). Did the P&P party that Wednesday night, and it was the best thing we did. Nowhere near as crowded, once the non-partygoers cleared out around 7.
Waiting for estoppleclosing on a resale contract at SSR - should hear something anytime, now. We're excited about that.

As for the Penguins, don't get me started with the last 2 games. Should have won the 1st game and enough already with calling a penalty every time some one looks in Crosby's general direction. :rolleyes1 But that being said the Rangers are being out played. We bought directly from Disney... took advantage of the developer points deal that they were running - I believe they still have one, but it's different from the one we used.

I bought direct through Disney. I didn't feel I knew enough about it to be confidant in a resale.
Leaving today for 5 nights in VWL.:cool1:
Have a wonderful time... I wish it were me - we still have about 175 days to go til our trip to BWV and AKV.

How about those Penguins.........another "W" over Jaromir and the Rangers. They threw everything but the kitchen sink at MA Fleury and it didn't matter. Gettin' my broom out...:thumbsup2

I've been on the boards for quite a while, but read more than I post. You can't help being addicted to Disney, when you find the magic!

Yeah Yeah. Congratulations. NY is not coming back from a 3-0 hole. Fleury did play his @#% (butt) off last night and now we are running out of players. Drury and Betts went down last night and Avery was rushed to the hospital late last night with a ruptured spleen (done for the year).
Of course it would help if our 3 time finalist for the Vezina trophy actually made a stop. 12 Saves? No wonder we can't win a game!
How much longer to football season? :rotfl:

hope the broom works...the boys can always use the rest. And Gary Roberts is coming back! But Max Talbot is supposed to now have a broken foot...
Just win, baby!

I still have my broom out from the last series! I'm going to paint it black and gold and make it my lucky broom.
Hey, if I do that, it'll give me an excuse with the wife...."Sorry Hon, can't sweep up. That's my lucky broom and I don't want to get it dirty"!! :rotfl2:

Not possible, we took our kids for the first time in Aug. 07 and they were hooked instantly. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I'm the one who peruses these boards and gathers info for our trips, she says she see enough computer screens at work and really is not a reader. I check out the Welcome Dis, Theme Parks and Strategies, Resorts, Tips and Transportation areas. I post and answer what we've experienced and what we do. I probably check this out twice a day.

Whoohoo! A guys thread! My name is Alan and I'm a disboard addict (it's OK DW is addict to her Wii).
I'm so bad I read at work at lunch, on my blackberry on my commute (don't worry on the ferry or bus), after the kids go to bed, etc.
Finally a place for the guys to come to reminisce about the corny jokes on the Jungle Cruise :3dglasses
