Best Hotel and pool???

Hello DL experts and west coasters!!! Trip this summer to DL, which hotel would be best-
me, DH, DS13, and possibly a new18year old marine. Have considered Grand Californian, and Disneyland hotel. Is Paradise Pier also a hotel, or just part of DCA. Let me know your thoughts, and thanks for all the help.

All 3 are good hotels. Of the 3, I consider Disneyland Hotel to have the best pools for kids or adults. The landscaping there is wonderful and the theming is terrific. Grand Californian is more of a casual elegance theme, closer to the parks, and the most expensive. The pools there are right next to each other and are not as private or themed as the pools at DLH. Paradise Pier Hotel looks out over the Paradise Pier section of DCA - it is nice hotel, too. The pool there is a rooftop pool next to the parking structure.
