Think I may have messed up, as I booked 2 TS for sun 24th to celebrate ds 11 birthday & forgot to tell them, it was his birthday. Should I ring back or just mention it on arrival at Tusker House Breakfast & CRT

there is a thread on the dis boards under - restarrants/reviews- you can call ahead and organise a cake. extra cost! or have one delivered to your room for extra cost.

the photo's of cakes are quite addictive. :sad2:

You can also get a 'birthday badge': as some places give special treats to birthday people.

Publix also do amazing cakes at good value.- check out their website!

lucky you to have a birthday boy out there!

Hi,
my daughter will turn 16 when we are on holiday. When I rang last week to book her birthday breakfast at Crystal Palace and dinner at Boma I was asked if we were celebrating anything, he took details of her name , age etc. The restaurants will know in advance that we are celebrating and they arrange a surprise. :)
I would ring them back to give them advance warning and for your peace of mind.

Thanks guys - His birthday is actually a little earlier, but he wanted to celebrate at MK on EMH, at CRT, which is Sunday. The first Sunday was when we went to CRT last year & he was really nausias (could'nt eat or drink) he was very brave & stayed to watch the show, but I did'nt want to risk it again. Think it's to do with jetlag, time & heat change. He usually feels better after the first couple of days. We had proberly the worst seats & I was hoping they would give us better ones for the celebration.

Thanks Paul. I suppose it may look as if I expect somthing if i ring back. Only thing I was hoping for was a better table, we must have had the worst one last year, at CRT. It was okay because ds was not well & happy to sit in the corner.

That's great, wish you a magical time. Which restaurants do you fancy? We also celebrate our 15th anniversary, going to Coral Reef.

Sharon, you could always ring (for free!) when you get to WDW and have it noted on your reservation :thumbsup2 They don't always do something but often they put Mickey confetti on the table, have a signed Birthday card and a little cupcake with a candle in it :)

Thanks Jo. That would be lovely for him, will get him a birthday badge & the characters will probably wish him happy birthday, which he would be over the moon with. I have to ring for my last 3 adr's, so I might ask the cm then.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. We didn't tell anyone in advance about the birthdays on our ADRs and in CRT, CM and Rose and Crown they noticed our 'birthday badges' and still did something for us. And we were an adult group, not kids too! If you want too just pop in to the location before hand and mention it...or ring them when you get there. Cast members at your hotel should help you out too. Have a great time and take lots of photos! :)

Yeah they did, it was really sweet. Just don't expect anything then it's always nice. We thought we MIGHT get something at Chef Mickey's but we were surprised at the other two places and the surprise was half the fun. Be warned though...WCC found out it was our birthday and made us do the pony express. :rotfl2:
