To save money, stay at the All Star resorts. Don't stay at Old Key West, the Grand Floridian or the Contemperary if you're just going to be at the parks all day. The All Star resorts are great and the theme pools are awesome.
Still, be sure to take the monorail through the Contemperary Resort when coming to or from EPCOT.

Hi Conure, Welcome to the Dis! I'm going to move this over to the Resorts Board for you. Thanks for posting. :)

Yes, the All Star Resorts are a wonderful way to do Disney and save a lot of money. I have stayed there, as well as the Grand Floridian. It is two totally different atmospheres, with two totally different price tags! :)

I totally agree with you! The All-Stars are wonderful for their price! ;)

You couldn't pay me to stay at All-Star again. It's just not my idea of a vacation. Now my mother-in-law, on the other hand, loves the All-Star resorts. Maybe it's because she travels alone?? She really doesn't need a big room, and doesn't mind the bus.
It is just not a good place to stay if you have 2 small children and a huge double stroller! LOL :p

Welcome to the DIS! :D

How is the noise level when you are inside the rooms at the All Star resort?? I've heard that it can be kind of noisy....is that true? Do you hear noise from other rooms or from outside at all?? This is the only resort we'd be able to stay at, because of the price, but the noise level would be a concern. We would have to go in the summer because our kids are in school. Thanks for any input! :D

My DGD and I stayed at ASMu last April and I thought it was clean, the buses ran extreamly well, and although the decor is not my personal taste my DGD LOVED IT!

I've got ressies for CSR & hoping to switch those to AKL in October because we're going to be there longer and I want something with better decor. I told my DGD and she was disapointed that we weren't staying at the same hotel...she really liked the pool. She changed her tune when I told her that CSR had a waterslide!

I wouldn't hesitate to stay at one of the All Star's again!

Hi, I'm new here, but I'll throw in my 2 cents. I've stayed at POFQ twice and POR once and enjoyed both, Price was affordable and both are great resorts:cool:

We loved ASMO too! We didnt hear any excess noise inside the room. We also thought the size was fine for 3 adults and 2 kids...not to mention the crib and the double carriage.
;)
We will definitely spend a good portion of our trips there from now on.

I've stayed at the All Star Sports resort twice and have not had a problem with noise. I am not sure when you will be in the rooms, but we got back pretty late, so we wouldn't have heard anyone anyway, but we also had a door joining the two rooms, and unless the door was open, you couldn't here the voices, TV, or anything else from the other room.
I strongly doubt noise will be an issue for you.
Enjoy the trip!

Stayed at ASMo in March 2000 and no problem with noise at all. I had a great time and no problems at all.
