What exactly is a daybed?? There are two adults and one 11 yr old in our party and we are all fairly tall. Is it better to request a king size bed with a day bed or 2 queens? Does the day bed fold out or something?? Thanks: Marilyn rolleyes:

Which resort are you staying at? The daybeds at WDW vary in size from the size of a twin bed down to the size of a small loveseat. The daybeds at the Poly and Contemporary are the size of a twin bed but the daybeds at YC, BC, BWV are very small about the size of a small loveseat.

We are staying at AKL for 3 nights and then BC for 5 nights.

Actually the daybeds at the YC and BC are just like any other daybed, they sleep a child or any adult who can sleep in a twin bed just fine. :)

They day beds don't fold out; they are single beds that serve as sofas during the day and can be made into a single bed at night.

My family has used daybeds-mainly because my kids don't like to sleep together in the same bed. Not a problem with the size. Either my husband or I could have slept in one if needed.
