Ohhh....I love it!

We were going to order Val's veil (s) yesterday but she got a sick
headache and had to go home.

She has decided to order two and decide later...

Better two Veils than two Dresses!

Oooh love the pick ups of your dress, i'm really happy you found "the one", and that looks like a great veil you are both so clever to be able to do things like that i'd be hopeless.

THat's right!! Though, Caryn had a total of 4 veils and three dresses I think....

Thanks, Caryn gets all the credit for the veil and all crafty things. I can't do that. I'm not crafty.

Thank you! I've always wanted a really long veil.

Thanks! My first dress was almost an exact replica of the belle dress... this one is a little more modern (and I like the new one more!)

I, Lindsay, would like to admit to you all that I am a successful 26 year old woman who is completely incapable of making a desicion.

As you may remember I picked this BM dress (in black and pink)
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/untitled-1.jpg

Now, of course, I am changing my mind and thinking about this BM dress (in the colors shown.)
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/bmdress.jpg

This is my dress
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/s07_ct221.jpg

Please tell me what you think. They are just about the same price. The second on is from David's Bridal and I think easier to get.

I have emailed all the BMs to see what they think, but now it's your turn

DisneyBrideToni
07-14-2008, 10:46 AM
I like the second dress the best although both are cute. I think the second dress will go better with your gown. I love pick ups anyway. I say go with the second.

07-14-2008, 10:49 AM
I like the 1st dress, because i'm not a big fan of the "v" style top on the 2nd one. But they are both beautiful dresses and will go well with yours!

caryndisneydiva
07-14-2008, 11:50 AM
we should have taken pictures when i tried on the first dress...the ruching at the top is weird. we were calling it the crumb catcher...i think the second one will be better for a few reasons

1. it's easier to get
2. all of the pinks will match and we can get our shoes there too
3. it's separates.
4. we could even choose the top we want, i'm not thrilled with that one because the full back is going to be HOT.

irisbud
07-14-2008, 11:59 AM
Hm, if it is seperates, then I like the second one better, but with a different top. The bottom is nice and elegent, but the top dosen't seem to go as well? Maybe it is the picture?...

Also, if it is seperates, your girls may ALL look better in it, as it may actually fit better once done (and be more comfy!(! They are both VERY pretty, though...

Geeze, I am no help at all!

Lindsay22

4. we could even choose the top we want, i'm not thrilled with that one because the full back is going to be HOT.

Here is my issue with the tops. The fabrics MUST MATCH. They must. There is a strapless top which is hideous. The whole thing is ruched and it's just yucky. The other top is a halter and I dont like to have everyone's back bare.
If you look at the other fabrics they have more tops, but I don't want a tissue tafetta bottom and a satin top.

I think it might be the picture. Emily and Ben (ecoon) used these dresses, so you can see them in her TR

I like the first dress....Isn't the 2nd one the same as the bridesmaid dress you wore in Caryn's wedding?

irisbud
07-14-2008, 12:28 PM
Okay, I do like them better after seeing ecoons pics. Also, I agree with you on the matching fabric issue. We had that problem with some Alfred Angelo seperates we tried on at first.

Since Caryn is a diva, though, I don't think she would want to walk around in anything tacy that didn't match! :lmao:

KQAN
07-14-2008, 12:41 PM
I vote for the second one, since the pickups in that one echo the ones in your dress nicely. Also, getting the same pink will be good. As far as the top, I don't think the one you have shown is that bad, but it will be nice to give people a choice. Are there any other choices for the top that you like that are in the right fabric?

29apr00
07-14-2008, 12:53 PM
well if they're seperates, then #2 with a different top. :thumbsup2

Lindsay22
07-14-2008, 01:21 PM
Thanks girls for all of your opinions. I literally don't know what to do so I think I'm going to have the girls vote and if they are split then I'll make Chris be the deciding vote (which I'm sure he will just LOOOOVE)

Here is a link to the three tops that are the same fabric as the skirt.
http://www.davidsbridal.com/mam_tool.jsp

I think more and more I'm leaning towards dress 2. But again... I just don't know (so frustrating.... does everyone feel this way?????)

Lisa- our dresses for Caryn's wedding were similar. We wore this one, in brown
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=2326&prodgroup=110

And I thought about that too... that it will be similar, but I think the different fabric, top and colors will make it more different.

IndyBride
07-14-2008, 04:05 PM
Ohhh... this makes me very glad I let my girls pick their own black dresses! It's for them to worry about what will look best! :) I say- go with the ones that look the best. You don't want them telling everyone that will listen what an uncomfortable dress you made them wear! I definantly think seperates would be easier to reuse a dress with. But- I definatly agree that the fabrics have to match. I don't know why DB offers so many different fabrics but so few styles in each fabric.

caryndisneydiva
07-14-2008, 04:27 PM
lindsay, maybe you should pick three dresses in black satin from davids and let us choose from them.

I really like them both, but being a girl who is very well off, shall we say, on top. I know that if you have a "chesty" bridesmaid it could look a little more risqué than you want. Keep that in mind. I was in a wedding once and she picked something with a similar neckline that looked great on everyone, but I looked like street walker!!! :rotfl: Not the look she was going for in the wedding! Just so you know. But, if they are all well proportioned go with 2!

Donald'sGirl
07-14-2008, 06:51 PM
I think I am in the minority but I like the first one. I think it is more due to the fact that I don't like pick ups. I also like the 2nd and 3rd one Caryn posted.

Good luck!

Gillian
07-16-2008, 03:47 PM
I like the third one that caryn posted. But remind us, what shapes are your bridesmaids? That is a dress for a slim girl!

DisneyLaura

I like your first one you choose Lindsay and also I like the first one Caryn posted.

Lindsay22
07-16-2008, 05:01 PM
Okay girls.

Well, as I'm sure most of you know I have thought (and thought and thought) really long and really hard about this one. I have actually lost sleep over it. (which I think is a little bit pathetic... but whatever)

Everytime I closed my eyes and pictured my wedding, I pictured Chris and I in the WP and I pictured the girls in the second dress I posted. (The black DB separates) So that's the dress I'm going to go with.

Now, you girls have brought up good points. All of my girls are slim to med sized. I wouldn't describe any of them as large. One is chesty (which seriously, I'm so jealous of) So I'm hoping between the two of us we can rein the girls in, at least for the ceremony. :rotfl: I think in the worst case scenario we'll just figure out something with a safety pin or some thread (very MacGyver)

So I guess I should let my girls know, huh?

Thank you girls so much for all your help. This is the first time I've really felt overwhelmed with wedding planning. It's great to know that I have such a support group to turn to  (insert sappy music here)

I know you've pretty much made your decision but I just thought i'd chime in that I also like the second dress. However I would caution you with that neck line. Both my girls are VERY busty and as soon as I saw them in a "V" cut this was my response...

Cleavage is not invited to the wedding!!!

its kind of like Caryn's thing with the tan lines. lol
But I hope it works out for you because the dress is beautiful and it will accent your dress very nicely. :thumbsup2

I'll chime in for the chesty girls... since I am one. I have actually tried this dress on and while the cleavage situation isn't perfect it isn't terrible either. Meaning if your BM wears the right bra with it will not be a problem and she will look gorgeous! Just my opinion. (We are talking about the halter top with the pickup skirt and hot pink ribbon, right?)

This makes me feel ALOT better. I had discussed this issue with one of my BMs and she made me feel a lot better about this too. She said that her waist is one size and her top is another size so separates will work really well for her. (She also said she wouldn't be insulted if I came after her with a safety pin and some thread :lmao: THis is why I keep her.)

Hi, Lindsay

I just wanted to tell you how lovely your STD is. We're looking forward to the wedding (you know how I love WDW!). I haven't checked in here for awhile, so I just read about 6 pages. Your wedding dress is gorgeous and the veil makes it perfect. As for the girls' dresses, they're all fine, but you know which one will look best on them. If you don't, Caryn will tell you!:rotfl2:

Mark said the July get-together was really fun. He & Caryn needed a break, with the restaurant about to open.

One thought - please consider letting your cat ride down the aisle on your veil. It will make your wedding stand out from all the others.:cool1:

I think we're going to NJ for Thanksgiving. Warn everyone: the Texans are coming! Hope you & Chris will be there too.

Love,

Nana Katz

Hi again everyone!
Again no big updates... but wedding planning is still going, full force.
This morning I booked Ana from Beaute Speciale. She did Caryn's wedding so I feel comfortable with her. We have 6 people for hair and at least 3 for makeup. I told her that we should be pretty much ready by 3:30 and she said that she'll have 3 people there (2 for hair, 1 for makeup I guess) and we'll start at 11.

I think the timeline is something like:
Breakfast: 9-10:30
Hair starts: 11am
Randy gets to us: 3:30ish
Boys pictures start: 4:00 (boys and boys family)
Girls pictures start: 5:00 (girls and girls family)
Staged first look: 5:45-7:00
Ceremony: 7:30

Think that sounds okay?

I was planning to make my BMs necklaces (ala Lurkyloo) but when DF and I were in DTD Disney this weekend I found what I was going to make!!! So I bought them. I'll post pics soon!

Lizby

Your schedule looks good, Lindsay!

I know I am a little late jumping on the bandwagon about the BM dresses, but I have to chime in and say I really like your choice. That is the same skirt my MOH had and I really loved it on her and she was comfortable in it too. The pickups looked so good. Here is a pic of it from the back
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/MOH.jpg

You might have said this already, but are your girls wearing sashes?

Lindsay22
08-05-2008, 02:18 PM
You might have said this already, but are your girls wearing sashes?

I read that and thought you asked if they were wearing shoes?!?!!? :rotfl:

Yes, they are wearing sashes. Caryn and Megan (Matron and Maid of Honor) are going to wear a bright pink top (Watermelon, i think) with the black skirt and a black sash. Mary and Claudia (BMs) are going to wear all black with the pink sash.

Lindsay I am so jealous you have a Caryn to help you!! Everything looks so beautiful!!

I have a tip for the photoshop so the H comes out pink at least this is what I need to do to see my STD in purple. You have to go to page setup and on the printer and paper tab change the printer to reflect a color printer. Once you do that you should see it in print preview in color and when printing. HTH!

well, i just finished stamping, so i'm waiting for them to dry. i need to cut everything out and to shape now and test crystals for the stamped part. the more i think about that, the more i think it might not work...

also, for the responder cards, i was originally going to make them a smaller version of the invites, but i think i might vary that a little bit with either printing them on ultra white cardstock (same as i used for the stamps) and then stamping to the ege, or printing them on the pink paper and doing the same thing...we'll see how that goes. i'll need to get started on them next, so if you have any wording that you want lin, nows the time.

Lindsay, I am loving everything!

Caryn, you are awesome!

I wish I had more time or was not so lazy!

We are planning on spending a lot of money on an aisle runner.

But I am either too lazy, or don't have the time or talent to do it myself.

I haven't decided which excuse to use yet... :lmao:

the biggest thing is that i have to print that monogram out to be 3ft by 3ft...i think i have that much figured out though...

How are you going to do that Caryn? Also do you know where I can get a good but cheap asile runner?

Thanks!

caryndisneydiva

well...in photoshop i blew up the image to be 36"x36" and i was going to print it out on a million differnt pages and piece it together to make pattern. if that doesn't work, i'll have to think of another plan. i'll get back to you on that...

you can get aisle runners at joann fabrics and at save-on-crafts.com!

I love the aisle runner! I didnt know you could make your own for so cheap! I am wondering, who would set up the aisle runner for you at the WP? And will they charge you to do that? (I'm guessing yes lol). Everything looks awesome!! :cutie:

lindsay,

can you look at this site and pick one? also, i think the 75ft will fit, but i'm not sure. can you ask diane exactly how long that aisle is?

http://www.save-on-crafts.com/aislerunners1.html

cosi-i'm not sure how we'll get it put out, maybe we'll have them set it up beforehand and we'll seat everyone at the sides of the aisles, instead of down the center...

keenercam
08-21-2008, 03:28 PM
Caryn -- I was told that the center aisle gets closed off so that no one walks down it before the bridal party. I don't know if that is the case, but some of the WP images I found on webshots, etc. when I was looking for one for our newsletter, had the center aisle roped off with ribbon strung across the last pews.

Hi Lindsay

I have to say I love Caryn's idea for an aisle runner. A friend of mine made one for her daughter's wedding, and it was not only beautiful but very special to her.

To all you brides visiting Lindsay's journal, I'm the lucky woman who is Caryn's mother-in-law. She's extremely creative, and her Disney wedding was wonderful. I know Lindsay's will be too.

Caryn, good luck keeping your kitties off the aisle runner when you make it. Personally, if it was MY aisle runner, I'd love to have little colored paw prints scattered all over it! But I think you're sister wants something a little more dignified . . .:rotfl2:

Lindsay, I hope you and Chris aren't having any problems from the storm. Thank goodness you're not getting married during hurricane season.

I know at DLR we were told if they did not provide their incredibly expensive aisle runner, we would
have to put it out ourselves, but not more than 37.5 minutes before the wedding.

It was a little ridiculous, and I don't mean to speak badly of Cynthia, but she changed how early we could set the aisle runner out about 5 times, and I averaged it to the 37.5 minutes....:rotfl2:

Hi Nicky
I just don't think that paw prints are really what we are looking for!!!
We aren't having having problems yet from the storm, it was supposed to come on Tuesday but we didn't get a single rain drop!! Chris and I both said that we are happy we picked April rather than October for this reason!

We were in Macy's on Monday and happened to find the exact ring that I had been looking for. It was on a super great sale so we picked it up, it's being sized right now and then I'll post a real picture. The only thing I don't love is that it's white gold and my e-ring is platinum. Do you think I can have it dipped in platinum? For the price I don't really care if I get an upgrade in the next few years...

Hi again girls. Well, I had hoped to have pictures for you but we moved 2 weeks ago and I STILL can't find the cord for the camera to the computer. I promise to give real updates with pics soon. In the meantime...

My ring is here, it fits and it looks great. I love it when I wear it alone and when I wear it with my e-ring.

My dress is in. It fits, though not as well as I'd like. I can zip it up if I'm not wearing a bra (which could be interesting come wedding day :rotfl2: ) and I can't really breathe... so I'm hoping that David's Bridal will be able to let the seams out just a touch. I also want them to make a bustle and I want to see if they can make it a little more sweetheart-y in the top. The length is almost perfect so I'm pretty good there. I still haven't picked out my shoes.

We will be at our 7 month mark next week. Some days it seems like we will never get there and some days it seems like the time is flying by!!

Hi Linds
Love the ring!

Andrea was going to have her engagement ring dipped in platiunm but found it can just rub off and it was expensive. She s is waiting till gold/plat prices drop and will have her ring reset

I have also volenteered my husband and Tom and the rest of the SI gang to put the runner down. He can unroll things is a fairly straight manner. And we will threaten to sic Caryn on him if he messes up :P This way if you need groomsmen for pictures or something else important they can be free

(Caryn glad you hear you are weathered the storm and got a new car from it)

To continue your online buying curse, I went to buy the dress froma woman on craigslist, and the check got returned to me. I called her and I had inverted her street number and the check is re on its way.

Hi,

Hi, Lindsay

I just wanted to say a heartfelt "thank you" to you and Chris for not setting your wedding date during hurricane season! I'm sure Caryn has told you how much fun we've had with Ike. She was such a good sport when we showed up on her doorstep, along with our 3 cats. What a great daughter-in-law I have! But several local brides wound up having all sorts of problems with their weddings right after Ike: no electric, no hotel rooms, no hotel period!

Also by having your wedding on Mark's birthday, we'll save the cost of a cake - he can just light his candles on your wedding cake instead. It will be lovely . . . :rotfl2:

Can't wait for your big day. The ring is just beautiful.

Hi Niki!! Yes Caryn did mention how much fun you all had with Ike...

Well I can FINALLY make a picture update. No, I didn't find the cord to the camera yet... must get on that.... I bought these gloves on ebay today. I'm not sure if I'm going to wear them. Chris asked me several times if I would be wearing gloves so I guess he wants me to....

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/bbb8_1.jpg

The bridesmaids have all (I think) purchased their dresses. We had a few good ebay/craigslist finds with them.

My parents are coming to visit this weekend and we'll be scouting locations and looking at menus. Mom and I will also be stopping at David's Bridal for a fitting. My dress fit, but I can't breathe. So I want to make sure that they can let out a seam... if not, I am going to re-order it in a different size. I want to make sure that we have enough time to do that.

Hi girls!!!
Caryn, I don't like that. I think it's the feathers... they distract me. I also don't like the polka dots.
No Cam, I'm sorry to report that I STILL can't find the cord to the camera so I cant post pics....

But I'll do a mini TR from my weekend with my parents. (Again, I apologize for the lack of pics)
Friday night: My parents flight was delayed so I stayed longer at work than I needed to :surfweb: I met them at the airport and drove home to our new house. My parents had never seen our house, so we were happy to show it to them. (I think they liked it)

Chris was making dinner while we got there (Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Brocolli, and I think Corn) so I gave Mom and Dad the tour. Cordelia decided to be social so she came down to Meow at her Grandparents. We had a lovely dinner and then went to bed because we had a busy day planned the next day.

Saturday- We left the house at about 8am to get to our 9:30am breakfast reservation at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Mom and Dad are planning to host some sort of breakfast the morning of the wedding and I thought that would be a good place and we wanted to check it out. All four of us really like it and we spoke to the manager and the chef and Mom and Dad are going to set that up.

After that we walked around the lobby and over to the WP, which my parents really liked as well. Dad seems to be getting excited about the wedding :woohoo: .

After we strolled around WP we drove over to Coronado so that my parents could see it (it's the Mod on my room block) They were shown a suite, which is what they are going to book for the wedding (I think)

Then we went to Downtown Disney and strolled the shops and had some icecream. Then we went home and took a nap! We also discussed menus and prices and all that fun stuff.

After naptime, we went to Home Depot to register. I have to tell you that I was a little disapointed in their registry services. 1.) You don't get a scanner. 2.) You had to write every SKU number down on a sheet of paper 3.) They don't have an online registry thing... But whatever, we registered. I'm actually pretty excited to get the stuff on this registry (a hammer, a saw, a drill.... all the 1-2-3 books)

Then we had dinner at Mellow Mushroom, our FAVORITE pizza place. (I told you, it was a busy day)

Sunday we didn't really have anything planned. Dad and Chris installed a ceiling fan in our bedroom and Mom and I went to David's Bridal.

You may remember that I got my dress shipped to me from NJ and when I tried it on, it zipped, but I couldn't breathe. (Which was theoretically problematic) So I made an appt at David's Bridal to make sure that they could let the seams out enough to fit me. If they couldn't, I was going to have to order my dress 1 size up. The lady told me that they had more than enough seam allowance and I would be fine! :cheer2: While I was there I ordered a BM dress for a wedding I am in this Feb.

Mom and Dad had an early flight Monday morning so I dropped them at the airport and came to work.

So, we got a lot accomplished which was good and Cordelia was excited to see her grandparents (apparently she decided to join them in the guest room one night! she's so friendly!)

Yes, we did just move into a new house. So I figured that we should register for stuff that we need... Home Depot just seemed to work out well. Since my shower is in NJ and we live in Tampa, I'm assuming that people will give us gift cards... imagine having to try and take a saw on a plane! :lmao:

Fabulous job on the invites Caryn!!!!! can't wait to see them all put together.

Aren't they cute?
The invites look beautiful, Caryn!
I love them!

Well, yesterday was my 6 month mark. Did I get anything accomplished??? No.

I tried on Saturday morning to call and make my reservations for the rehearsal breakfast and dinner. Could I make them? No. First I asked for a reservation for OCTOBER 25. Yeah... that was a slight problem. I need April... So then they told me that since they are "upgrading" their dining reservations I couldn't make them until "sometime" in December. I asked what date... they didn't know. Seriously annoying.

On Saturday Chris and I went to DHS and met another Disney bride Catherine (Babecee) and her (new) husband Jesse. They were super nice and we had a lovely lunch at Sci Fi.

My mother got her dress on Saturday as well.

Today I need to pay Randy a zillion dollars and I have a few questions to email to my planner.

Sorry this isn't much of an update... I'm pretty much at a standstill until my PS and that isn't until Jan!!

Congrats on the 6 month mark!!! Its going to fly by now.

I am sorry you didn't get much done but you have time and I am sure you will get everything together soon. That does suck about the reservations. I can't make mine until November 5th. The only reason I know that date is because when I went to make ressies for the Luau they told me that my date for reservations is November 5th. I am waiting patiently but I wish it was done already.

Hello all - its been a very long time since i've posted but I wanted to update everyone quickly. As Caryn is making the invites etc for the wedding, my job has been Lindsays bridal shower. My mom and I booked the venue (it's quite nice) and I will be looking for invitations sometime this weekend. It should be a very nice event and I hope that Lindsay likes it. I have been listening to Lindsays requests for no games and gimicks etc so we are going to have just a nice brunch. I am working hard to make sure that things are nice for her. Ill be sure to update things a bit more when I get more info and when I make the invites. I don't want to post too much information as I want Lindsay to be surprised a little bit at the shower. Hope everyone is doing well - congrats on everyone's weddings and engagements .. everyone's plans are just so beautiful. good luck!

Hi Lindsay

Good luck on your shower. Sounds like your big sister Caryn (my wonderful daughter-in-law) has plans for fun and games. Better check her luggage when she arrives for excess rolls of toilet paper.:rotfl2: Just remember you can revenge yourself on Megan when she gets married. Personally, I'm just looking forward to another Disney wedding. We booked a cruise out of Florida the week before, so we're really going to have a good time! Wish we were going to see you at Thanksgiving. It won't snow in November in NJ, will it?

Anyway, Lindsay your shower is going to be lovely. The food is really great and we are going to have a great time. Mom and I are working on things like the invites and the favors and it's just going to be a nice time. ENJOY IT DARN IT!!!!

Small new update... well, actually a few small updates...

1.) I have a necklace! :woohoo: A few days ago, Tricia (Disbride2007-I think) posted that she had a brand new Cinderella Swarovski necklace. So I pm'd her, we did a business transaction and it arrived at my door a few days ago. I tried it on and it's BEAUTIFUL!!! Way prettier on that in the pictures!

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/DSC01132.jpg

If anyone has the bracelet that matches the set, and you're willing to part with it, can you please PM me? I really like the bracelet.

2.) As you may recall, my Uncle Russ was supposed to perform our wedding ceremony. He and his wife are currently doing missionary work in Kenya and they were going to fly to Orlando to perform our ceremony. Well, they looked at flights and they're $1800 A PIECE!!!! :scared1:  So they won't be able to make it out for the wedding. :sad1: I completely understand and would NEVER expect anyone to pay that much to come to my wedding.... So. Yesterday we began the search for an officiant.

My sister Caryn, always on top of things went online and got ordained (she has now decided that we'll call her "Rev" She's a weirdo....) As Caryn is planning to perform our ceremony wearing a tiara and a feather boa we decided that perhaps we need to go somewhere else and find a real officiant.

So last night we emailed Rev Miller and Rev Herring... hopefully they'll get back to us soon and one of them will be available.

Hey Lindsay- that's sweet of caryn to offer that to you. Think of it that way- a free officiant if wrost comes to worst. My sister offered to get ordained on onine she she could marry us. But I was too selfish to give up her as my MOH. Her standing up for me meant more than her marrying us. Is that weird?

And just as she makes her way to the typical BM/MOH spot, she turns to her assistant - hands off her flowers and puts on the boa, tiara, gloves and grabs the book and makes her way to the altar area to perform the service...

Another small update:
We're both trying to sit down and figure out what to try at our tasting. We're most likely going ot have the Lady and the Tramp Reherasal dinner (and modify it a little bit....)
I'm busy copying pics (from here!) for the PS. I have pictures of centerpieces and bouquets so far.

Caryn has made her reservations for the PS and the half marathon so I'm really excited about that. She's going to stay with us for a few nights and apparently she's going to bring the inviations. We are going to mail them out right after the new year.

My first dress fitting is Jan 18. I'm having my dress done and a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I'm in at the end of Feb!

We've been in touch with a travel agent, trying to decide on a honeymoon. We aren't going to go until the summertime since Chris is teaching and he shouldn't take that much time off.

Hey Lindsey, It was $8.00 per guest according to my Beo!

IT WAS SO WORTH IT!
everyone said it was really good!! they put a breadstick and a parmesan crisp on top of each one, they were made as each guest came up to get it, so it stayed warm

it was a homemade style of mac n cheese kinda like the one on kids buffetts but a little different and better!!!
we went thru chef Jacob at our tasting and he came up with it.

Caryn and I completed the address list for the invitations this morning. She's apparently printing out the labels and she will be bringing the invitations with her when she comes here on Thursday. (For the half and the PS). At some point all of us will stuff the invitations and they should be out by Jan 15 ish.

Our PS is on Friday, and I've been getting everything together. I have my list of questions, my pictures of floral and all that fun stuff.

Caryn and I will be wearing our matching Minnie Dot Running Skirts to the half on Saturday. If you see us, be sure to cheer us on!!

I can't believe we're at less than 4 months.

Thanks girls! It seems like it's flying by! I almost can't believe it, but at the same time I'm so ready for it to be OVER!

I just got a call from Diane asking to move our tasting session from 11am to 9am. That's fine by me.... more time to digest before the run on Sat!

I've put most of my inspiration pictures in my binder to bring with me... so I'm organized on that front.

Caryn and Mark are arriving on Thursday with the invitations. We're going to stuff them and mail them while they are here.

Mom emailed to say that the shower invitations are being mailed this afternoon.

So far our schedule is:
Caryn and Mark get her on Thurs evening. We'll have dinner and watch Grey's.

We're going to leave the house EARLY friday morning (like 6:45 :scared1: ) To run over to ASMovies (I think... it's either that or music.... I should check that) and check in and then run to Franck's to meet Diane.

After the tasting we'll do the rest of the PS.

Then we'll go to bed, and wake up at the obsene hour of 3am so that we can catch the bus for the half.

We'll (hopefully) finish the half and then go nap and take a bath for Saturday afternoon.

We have ressies in Canada that night and then Crystal Palace for Breakfast Sunday morning.

Then we'll head home and stuff invitations, watch Rock of Love 3 and I'll bring Caryn and Mark home Monday morning.

My first dress fitting is Jan 18!

I'll be sure to do a PS TR probably by Tues!

Hi, Lindsay Hope you have a great visit with Caryn & Mark. Good luck on the run. I have a suggestion - why not wear the butterfly veil when you run? It will be perfect with the Minnie Dot running skirt. Everyone will notice you!

Can't wait to get our invitation. (We are invited, right? :thumbsup2) We'll arrive in Florida a week early to take a cruise and get back the day of the wedding. So glad you're going to be a Disney bride like Caryn (we love to visit there:cheer2: ). Can we force Megan to do the same thing???

Take care

Hi everyone. We are back from the PS and the race. Caryn and I (almost) completed the invitations last night. We only need to stamp the response cards and mail them! I just dropped Caryn and Mark off at the airport. We successfully completed our race and we have the medals to prove it! I have pictures, but they aren't uploaded yet. I'll get them uploaded and start a TR soon!

I've never really done a TR before, so please bear with me...

PS TR Day 1 Thursday Jan 8.

Caryn and Mark were arriving early Thursday evening. They called me at work aT 4:45 to say that their plane had landed. I had not left work yet to go get them... Caryn was supposed to check a bag because she had her bottle of saline that she needed for the race. So I thought I was going to have a little extra time, unfortunately, Caryn didn't want to pay the $15 bag fee at Continental so she carried her bag on. She texted me before the plane took off and told me that they confiscated her conditioner and she was MAD. :headache: So, I was going to be a little late getting Caryn and Mark from the airport.

I let my boss know that I was leaving a little early. :surfweb: I reminded her that I would be out of the office on Friday and told her that if she needed me she could call me on my cell.

I picked Caryn and Mark up and we stopped at Publix to get some wine (we need wine, especially after work:drinking1 ) and a few things for the weekend... and of course, some conditioner for Caryn. Chris made dinner :stir: and we all relaxed and ate and watched Grey's. I reminded them that we were leaving early the next morning and everyone needed to get some sleep.

Day 2 Friday

The alarm went off at 6am because all 4 of us needed to be up dressed and showered. We left the house at 7am. Now, for those of you that have never travelled with Caryn and Mark... well.... it's quite the experience. They are quite a pair. We stopped at Dunkin' Donuts on the way because we desperately needed some coffee. The cashier at Dunkin' Donuts looked at us like Caryn and Mark had two heads, they were acting like such weirdos. Caryn actually showed the girl her "glitterized Vaseline bottle". :confused3

We got to ASMovies at around 8:30 and quickly checked in and then ran right back to the car and drove over to Francks. We got to Francks and I took this wonderful picture of Caryn.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures488.jpg

We checked in with the nice girl at the desk and she told us that Diane would be there in a few minutes and she told us to look around and have a seat. Caryn decided it was time for a self portrait.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures489.jpg

Diane got there and we all drove over to Epcot. Our tasting was upstairs in AAR, which I thought was really cool. We took a mystery elevator upstairs to a mystery room. I know that I used to work at Disney, but I still get very excited when I go behind the scenes.

The room was very nicely set up with a table and a buffet

The buffet
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures492.jpg

Chris was in charge of napkin folds so I asked him to pick one out before we undid our napkins to eat. This is the fold Chris picked.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures493.jpg

Then I realized that we were right by the AA Parlour so I took a pic of it.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures494.jpg

Then we started the food.
The first thing we tried was the Garlic and Artichoke Flatbread. This was different than I expected. It was a pita with a dip. We all really liked it.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures495.jpg

Then we tried the Mickey Roni and Cheese in a martini glass. We are going to do this as an action station and have it less cheesy and use a little more spice.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures496.jpg

After that, we had salad. It was great. We tried two different kinds of dressing, rasberry vinagrette and balsamic vinagrette. We liked both.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures497.jpg

Then she took out the bread tray. I love bread. Bread is my favorite food. I could never go low carb because I love bread so much.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures498.jpg

After that we got to the main meal. Chris and I were served two plates, one with Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Asparagus, Carrots and Garlic Mashed Potatos. The second plate had Rosemary Mahi Mahi and Mushroom Risotto. Caryn and Mark got their chicken and fish on one plate. The chicken was SOOOOO good. I loved it. YUMMO! I don't eat fish, but Chris said that the Mahi Mahi was spectacular. Neither of us loved the Risotto so we aren't having that but we are keeping the mashed potatos.

When I last left you we were just driving back to Franck's for the rest of the PS.

We chatted a little bit in the car. Mark (who used to DJ at Pleasure Island) had a lot of questions about what they are doing with that area now so we talked about that a little.

We got to Franck's and Mark went to fetch my binder from the car and then we were able to begin.

Us sitting in the room
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures504.jpg

First they brought out the cake and we discussed flavors. We sampled all of the flavors and we decided that the bottom layer is going to be chocolate with rasberry mousse, the middle is going to be marble cake with white chocolate and the top is going to be yellow cake with cannoli cream.

Then we discussed the cake style. I had originally been obsessed with the Happily Ever After cake (and based my whole theme around HEA)

HEA Cake
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/HappilyEverAfter-Silver.jpg

But then I saw this cake in Francks and I LOOOOVE that too.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures503.jpg

So we talked to Diane about combining the two designs. Caryn and I are going to pick out crystals to put on the bottom and then mail them to the bakery so we'll have crystals and HEA!

Then we talked about busses and transportation. We aren't going to have a limo for us. I'd rather have the pictures of us walking and if it rains, I know that people will have cars over at the Grand that we can use just in case.

Then we were done until floral and we had about an hour for a break. We decided to walk over to the Grand. Caryn had never walked the path before and she wanted to see it.

Before Caryn can post her warped version of what happened next here it is. We walked over to the WP where we took these pictures.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures505.jpg

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures506.jpg

As we were heading toward the Grand Chris was playing on the internet using Caryn's stupid iPhone. So I asked him several times to stop because I wanted to talk about what we had just discussed with Diane. He wasn't really talkative during the PS and I wanted to make sure that he was okay with everything. Well he wouldn't get off that phone and I started to get MAD. This is the only time we are ever going to get to do this and he needs to be focusing on the wedding and not on the dumb phone. So he finally gives the phone back to Caryn and we were able to discuss. (I'm sure Caryn will chime in with a Bridezilla version of this tale)

We sat in a hammock on the beach and Caryn and Mark sat on a swing.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures507.jpg

Then we walked back for the floral part of our day.

Beautiful cake and the flavors sound yummy! You and your sister are so funny.....my sister would have drove me nuts by now.

The menu sounds so good!! so did you decide on both the chicken and the mahi-mahi??

Lindsay22
01-13-2009, 11:46 AM
Yes, the menu we picked comes with both, so we are going to keep both.

After our walk, we started the floral part of our PS.
First we talked about centerpieces. I showed Laura this photo of the WP and said that I wanted to re-use the centerpieces for the WP.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/PavilionwithCandlesrunnerpetals.jpg
(I stole this pic from someones TR... thanks someone!!!)

So she said that we can do that for centerpieces and have 3 cylinders with rose petals and candles on each table.
She also talked to Caryn about the aisle runner and we are going to have the petals on the sides like in the pic too.

We discussed putting led candles on the tables for cocktail hour and I thought it wasn't necessary but Chris liked them... so we've added them for now.

We are going to have black linens and bright pink napkins. We also added black chair covers with a pink ribbon.

We are going to have this overlay on the sweetheart table and on the cake table
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures490.jpg

Then we talked about my bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets.
I gave her this inspiration picture for my bouquet. (I stole this off the dis too, I think... it's been in my "flower favorites" file for a while now...)
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/bouquet5.jpg

Laura said that she would do something similar to this with bright pink flowers. I also have the lace from my mother's dress to wrap with the stem and she told me that they will put any charms I want on the stem when they drop my flowers off (I have my grandmother's blue ring, my grandfather's cameo-which broke at Caryn's wedding, which is why I'm not wearing it- and also a picture of my cat)

The bridesmaids are going to carry flower balls which will be a combination of these two pictures.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/privefloral8.jpg
and
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/bestBouquetsmbm1003_05.jpg

Laura said that there are a lot of different pearl ribbons to pick out for them.

Chris's bout is going to be a white rose with pink tips and a crystal, the stem will be wrapped in black. The guys will have pink roses and the ring bearers and flower boys are going to have mini bouts with spray roses.

That was the end of our PS. We started our tasting at 9 and we didn't leave until after 3. It was a looong day.
We left Franck's and headed over to Wide World of Sports to pick up our race packets. It was crowded, but not unmanagable. We got our packets, tested our chips and then went over to the Expo. We were really hoping that the running skirts people would be there, but they weren't.

We went back to the hotel and dropped off our bags and then went to the food court to have dinner. Caryn and I each got the "marathon carb option" that was being offered. It was not good. I don't recommend it. Then, we all hopped in the car and went to MGM. We rode Twilight Zone and then saw that there was an hour wait for RnR. We decided that since there was also an hour wait for Toy Story Mania we'd wait and ride that again.

After that, we went back to the hotel to sleep and get ready for the race the next day. We had everything laid out and set the wake up call for 3am! :scared1:

RACE DAY

*I apologize for not having a lot of pictures. Neither of us brought our cameras to the race (I didn't want to carry it while I was running)*

Our wakeup call came at 3am. I really didn't sleep well at all that night. It might have been nerves, it might have been the fact that I was in a different bed... I woke up every hour or so.

So the wakeup call comes and we get out of bed, get dressed and get ready to go. Chris and Mark were mad that we turned one light one because we needed to see. It was COLD. COLD COLD COLD. So I made sure that I had my Future Mrs. sweatshirt to wear and my gloves.

Chris took this picture of us just before we left the room.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures508.jpg

(I guess at 3am we can't expect him to be a great photographer)

We left the room at about 3:30 amd walked over to get the bus to the marathon. There were 6 busses waiting to transport the people from our hotel!! We got on the bus and they were playing that new Indiana Jones movie, which was kind of creepy that early in the morning. We got on our way and we were dropped off at Epcot. While we were walking to the tents where we were penned until we could go to the corralls we got a lot of compliments on our running skirts.

Did I mention that it was cold? It was. There was an 80s band playing and after walking around for a little while we decided that the best place for us to be was huddled amongst the shirts in the merchandise tent to keep warm. (A friend of ours said that the low in Orlando that night was 34 degrees. You could see your breath) Anyway. We sat in the tent for close to an hour while Caryn whined at me that we should have taken a later bus and it wasn't necessary for us to be the first ones there. Point taken Caryn. Understood. Next year we won't come so early. :rolleyes1

Finally, it was time for us to walk over to the corrals. We were in Coral E Wave 2. It was a pretty long walk from the parking lot in Epcot to the corrals. At least 15 minutes. That was okay. I needed to get warm. We got to walk backstage where we saw an old Backlot tour car, a Jungle Cruise boat and the Epcot Christmas lights.... Also, we also got the joy of seeing men peeing. Yes. That's right. On the way to the corrals there were literally lines of men standing by the trees peeing. What we didn't realize is that this would be something we would see for the entire race.

We get the the corall and it is CROWDED. :crowded: We were packed in there like sardines. They had a video screen and this wimpy girl talking about how she can't believe we all woke up so early. I tried to ignore her by stretching. I got a good stretch in and then it was almost time to go! :yay:
The actual professional runners got to start 15 minutes before the characters. They had the characters count down and then they shot off fireworks and played the song from the commercial, which I thought was really fun and cool! 2 1/2 minutes later, the announcer person announce that the professional runners were at the HALF MILE MARK. Yep. They were keeping a 5 min mile pace. Caryn and I didn't do that.

Finally it was time for us to start. That was when we saw Speedo Man. (Caryn calls him Naked Man, but as he was not naked, I will be refering to him as Speedo Man). He was wearing sneakers, a red speedo (and not the full bodysuit that Michael Phelps wears... just the breifs) and a hat. Did I mention it was COLD????? And that's all this guy was wearing. Some very amused ladies behind us took pictures. I can't imagine how this guy didn't get frostbite. I didn't see him from the front, but a very amused man asked where he pinned his bib. :lmao:

It was still dark when we started running and there were a lot of people on the sidelines cheering us on, which I thought was awesome. They didn't have to be there, it was cold, it was obsenly early and there they were, cheering for everyone. As we were running under the monorail, the drivers beeped at us. (I thought that was cool) We ran on World Drive and took the exit to get to the Magic Kingdom parking lot. We got on that road road (about 2 1/2 miles) when we saw the first few people PASS US at about the 7 mile mark. HOW COOL!!! So we all cheered for them. They were awesome! (Seriously, I can't run 1 5min mile.... let alone 13) The first woman was the 4th person in that group. There was a high school marching band playing and some high school cheerleaders. :cheer2: We ran through the parking gates (where you would give the person your money to park) and up past that Richard Petty driving thing. At this point the sun had come up and a lot of people started complimenting our skirts. One guy heard us talking with another girl about our skirts and shouted out "This is not a fashion show ladies!" Which I thought was pretty amusing. We ran through the parking lot and up past the contemporary. Then we ran up to TTC and there were tons of people cheering for us there too!

After TTC we ran backstage in MK and entered Main Street. On Main Street there were tons of people. At this point Caryn and I had gotten pretty warm, I took my gloves off. But it must have still been pretty cold becaue everyone was wearing heavy coats. We ran up the path to Tomorrowland and down by Cosmic Rays. At the teacups you could stop to take your picture with Alice (we didn't). We had been "wogging" this whole time (walk/jog=wogg) and we wogged around the Pooh ride and up past the Carousel. We made sure that we ran through the castle. We came down the path and then over the bridge, past Hall of Presidents and through Frontierland. We exited the MK at the gate by Splash where the parade floats go. Backstage there was the pirate ship float with Capt. Jack Sparrow and you could take a picture with him too.

We ran out and passed some buiding that neither Caryn nor I could identify. We decided it was the Scientology Center of Disney (In reality it was the Reedy Creek FD, but it wasn't the cool building that was red... it must have been their offices). We wogged up past the Grand and the WP. Then past the Hess station and up towards Epcot. (This is where the people passed us WAAAAY earlier that morning). We ran up the exit ramp to Epcot (which was awful. At this point we were at 10 ish miles... it was slanted and uphill. Not okay) Anyway, once we got up the ramp we turned around and looked back and saw a sea of people just leaving MK. At that point we both felt good and realized that we weren't going to get swept. We were really surprised that there were so many people behind us because we walked a lot.

I was REALLY tired at this point, so I was walking more than Caryn would have liked... but I made sure I was running a little bit each mile. We finally got backstage to Epcot and entered the park by the bathrooms that are near the Art of Disney store. WE WERE ALMOST DONE!!!!! We ran around the fountain and up the path to the world showcase, we went around the big planter (where they put the christmas tree) and back around, we exited Epcot by the bathrooms near Guest Relations. Less than a half mile to go! Caryn and I decided that we were going to run the rest of the way. We ran into the parking lot and there were people cheering in the bleachers. We made sure our bib numbers were straight. We smiled and RAN ACROSS THE FINISH LINE. WE WERE DONE!! :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

There were people with food so I got a banana  to eat which was the best thing I could have done. I would have fainted if I didn't eat something. We got our medals and went to go find Mark and Chris. After about a half hour we found them (note to self, next year bring my cell phone) and Mark took a picture of us with our medals. (Caryn, please post that). We went back to the car and headed back to the hotel.

Sorry this was so long and had no pictures... next update will have more!!

ok, let me put my spin on things here...

so when we left off we were going to the floral appointment...lindsay had some really bad pikz that she was threatening to give to laura kidd. so i hid them.

the floral appointment went really well and it didn't take that long. i like everything that she picked out, i now have a ton of projects to do...the menus, programs, aisle runner etc. lindsay DID choose to have fire on the floor, so lets hope that my clumsiness doesn't burn down the wp...

after the ps was totally done (6 long hours later) we went to the marathon expo. i was disappointed. it was a lot smaller than i had expected. we got our race packets, checked our chips (they ended up giving us black chips which is weird since i'd bought us yellow commemorative chips...) and got our goody bags with our super cool free marathon shirts. i was super starving so we headed back to the AS Movies food court to carbo load. lindsay complained the entire time (shocking) but carbo loading is important. this was our last meal before the race, it was 5pm...

while at asm mark and i took this lovely pic and lindsay and chris were SUPER jealous of it...
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q184/caryncraig/100_1365.jpg

we went to mgm and road ToT, my fave ride ever, then we went to toy story mania. omg. i am so in love with that ride. i even beat lindsay!

self pics in mgm...

http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q184/caryncraig/100_1367.jpg

when we got back to the room, i needed conditioner so mark and i went to the as music gift shop, lindsay called and said that there weren't any safety pins in her race packet, so i picked those up too. mark discovered the arcade in the lobby and had to play donkey kong...

http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q184/caryncraig/100_1369.jpg
the donkey kong game was in the "old people section" with the pacmans. he had a blast.

then it was time to go to bed. lindsay was freaking out because she couldn't find batteries for her garmin, so she ran down to the as movies gift shop and they had them. then we all attempted to go to sleep, but she kept waking us up!!!!! how rude.

at 3am, that magical phone call came through and we got dressed and ready for the big race.

http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q184/caryncraig/100_1371.jpg

now. when i say it was cold, it was COLD. like idiots we didn't bring any throw away clothes and that just made it so much worse. next year i'm wearing a snow suit. my hands didn't warm up until mile 10 (for schizzle...) and it was a 13 mile race. i was thrilled. really. i've never run in long sleeves and i kept my shirt on the entire time.

we walked most of the race, which would have been fine, but i didn't train that way and so now i'm sore. that course is BORING. there are long stretches of NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING. we saw some lady cheat which really p'd me off. glad she got a medal. ohhhh, lindsay forgot to tell you about Mr. Incredible. that dude TOTALLY should not have been wearing that outfit. i thought i might have been deliriously imagining him, but unfortunately i wasn't...

about the men peeing on trees...1000's of trees were defaced this weekend at WDW...it's just a shame, but pretty funny. i have to say...

by the time we got through EPCOT i absolutely could not take walking anymore, so i made lindsay run the last 800m or so. we crossed the finish line and some girl had the gall to ask me to LIFT MY LEG in order to cut my chip off. i almost fell over. that's just craziness. i just ran 13 miles, you've been sitting on your butt all morning and you expect me to LIFT MY LEG? uh no. bend over girlie. DISCLAIMER: i truly do appreciate all the time and energy of the race volunteers, but that girl made me mad because she was mean.

i had some free food and powerade which was amazing. i had instructed our men to meet us at the a-c tent after the race. well, they didn't follow directions and so we had to hobble all over creation to find them. when we finally did mark took this pic,

http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q184/caryncraig/100_1373.jpg

then we went back to the hotel, took a mini nap and ate. i was STARVING.

All you need to do is train. I don't know if I could run a 5k because I'm used to pacing myself pretty slowly so that I can wogg a longer race.

When I last left off we had just finished our race. We went back to the hotel and I took some Motrin and iced my knee while Caryn took a shower. When she was done with her shower I took a bath. (Note to those of you who are wondering: Baths in the All Star Resorts leave a lot to be desired) Then I napped for about an hour and we had lunch. While at lunch Caryn and I called Michelle (piratekitty) who was also in Disney that weekend and we made plans to meet up later. We went back to the room and I accidentally fell asleep for another two hours. I hadn't planned on this nap but I really really needed it... while I was napping Caryn, Mark and Chris went to the pool and apparently they watched some lifeguard drills. (Caryn and Mark met as lifeguards at the Boardwalk pool so I guess they really liked seeing that)

After naptime we got dressed in our race shirts and medals and headed over to Epcot. We found a photopass guy who took this pic of us.

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures509.jpg

We were very excited to take pictures with our medals (I'm sure you all understand). We walked around Epcot and rode Spaceship Earth and Finding Nemo. As we were leaving Finding Nemo we saw this man and woman who had a youngish child fighting with each other on a bench. The man was yelling at the lady telling her that "this place brings out the worst in you and we're never coming back!!!" We thought that was pretty amusing. They obviously needed a nap. For the rest of the trip Caryn would tell us that this place brings out the worst in us and we were never coming back.

Then we went over to Le Cellier for dinner. Caryn and Mark had never eaten there and we decided that it would be a nice place to celebrate. Caryn loved the bread so much that she started taking it out the little bread holder and "hiding" it on her plate.

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures510.jpg

We finished our dinner and rode the Mexico ride and then Michelle called and said they were meeting us in France with another Disbride JoDee. We hobbled over to France and we were waiting in line when Michelle's husband looks at Caryn and says "Are you Lindsay??" :lmao: So I said Hi to Michelle's husband and we went over to Michelle and JoDee to say hi. We chatted a little about the PS and then went to watch Illuminations. Illuminations was fine except that our view was blocked by a child sitting on his father's shoulders. Now normally I wouldnt have a problem with this except that the child was only wearing a diaper. No pants, just a diaper. And it was very distracting... what if it leaked? Ew. Yuck. This may be controversial, but I do not understand why one wouldn't fully clothe their children.

After Illuminations, JoDee was going over to Jelly rolls. We said goodbye to her and then Michelle, Caryn and I decided to sit down in UK and chat some more. While we're sitting outside Rose and Crown we started to hear a ruckus behind us. Michelle's husband had been watching the whole ruckus before we noticed it and he was able to fill us in on what we missed. Apparently a father, son and the son's wife were drinking in Rose and Crown when the son was "assaulted" in the bathroom and they wanted to press charges. The son was yelling at the cop (a real Florida state trooper, gun and everything, not a Disney cop) and pointing his finger at him and the cop was yelling at him that if he didnt stop he was going to go to jail too. Then the father started yelling at the cop and they forced him to sit down. Then the son's wife came out crying about how her vacation was ruined. I know those people were having a bad night but for us it was HILARIOUS... Michelle's husband took a picture of us then and made sure to get the cops in the background. (If you look closely you can see them in the top right corner)

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/lindsayacraig/Engagementpictures511.jpg

Shortly after that a castmember asked us if we were with the group talking to the cop and we said no and the castmember asked us to sit elsewhere, so we never got to see the resolution of that particular incident... Highly amusing though.

We walked back to the car and went to the hotel. I iced my knee again and we went bed. I had slept a lot that day but I was really tired.
