Well as I have been shamelessly advertising a review on my TR I thought I'd better start:
The Caste Me as in SOLO, all by myself !!

Day 1 Feb 8th I arrive at Pop before 11 am and after checking in and getting my room, yes it was ready. I head to the foodcourt, already knowing what I want. I order the Chicken Alfredo which comes with a delicious breadstick9 this was a fav. of mine last year) then I look for my fav dessert Twinkie Tiramusu , round and round I walk and see none so I head over to the first counter ( where the icecream is) and ask the cm looks at me like I am from the planet Dork!! Luckily a more seasoned Cm overhears and says they nolonger have them as they have gone zero trans fat and the Twinkies had trans fat ( maybe that's why they were so good) so mournfully I ask if they have Tyedye cheesecake and Yes they do, which was a double blessing as they were a 2nd fav. and DD had charged me with bringing 1 back. Of course I purchased my mug and picked a bottle of lemonade for my drink. As [I] hadn't eaten much that day I gobbled it all up . It was as delish as I remember. Sorry no pix those who know me understand ,but if anyone has pix please post to add some spice to this little report!! Coming up CRYSTAL PALACE!! Stay tuned !!

Day 1 cont.... Supper at Crystal Palace. This is a must do for me ! I love the decor and of course Pooh. I arrived a little earlyfor my 7 pm ressie and didn't wait long . I was seated at a table for 2 on the inside of theoutside if you get my drift it was a great spot as I saw characters on both sides. Well lets get to the food I love shrimp and they have the peel and eat sort which are great so I help myself to apile and then try alitle of the mant salads moving on to teh hot stuff I spy mussels and grab them too andthen head for the carved prime rib which is medium rare and delish. As I munch away the characters come around , very nicely spaced I might add. My being SOLO as in alone made no difference I was hugged and had my pix taken with them all by either CMs or other guests. In between I head back for more shrimp, mussels and a few more salads . I am careful to leave room for dessert. I had spied banana bread pudding and strawberry cheese cake and carrot cake I knew I was set all delish. As usual I ordered coffee for my beverage. Once again I had a great meal and experience at CP. My server was very attentive and I left a cash tip as I did everywhere. I give CP an A for Characters, an A for food and and an A for service. I recommend this restaurant for families and solos !! Stay tuned .. coming up..Catalina Eddies and Cosmic Ray's

Day 2 Lunch today was at Catalina Eddies at Hollywood Studios. This open air seating, I had decided on the Hot Italian sandwich with pesto tomatoes,it came with apple slices or chips I picked chips for dessert I chose teh carrot cake I had a coke to drink. The line moved very slowly and it didn't help that the lady behind me complained about it non stop!! Now if you are s0olo you can't have someone save a seat but the couple ahead of me saved me a spot 3hich was really nice of them, meanwhile lady behind me is still complaining. I got my sandwich and sat done and chatted to the nice youg couple who had saved me a seat the sandwich was very tasty and the pesto tomatoes tasted great and continued to taste most of the afternoon!! I would not try this place in the summer the wait could be truly bad and the outside seating Nah!! I give this Food a B ( due to long laqsting pesto taste) service/ wait time C. I don't think I'll do it again. Not horrid just would search for something better ! Stay tuned for Cosmic Ray's

Thank you all I am still waiting for my TFW buddies to find this and I shamelessly plugged iton TFW thread. But they are all over my TR and that's great. So I will continue with Day 2 and Cosmic Rays Well this is a must do for me !! For those who don't know Ray's It is in Tomorrowland neat Indy Speedway ( A fav,DSA) It has various stations to order from which when you are solo is absolutely no problem! You can check all their menu on Allears menus. But I choose the chicken/Rib combo, which I have had before and shared and believe me this is definately sharable. You get 1/2 a roaqsted chicken and about 4 ribs mashed potatoes and green beans There is enough chicken alone for 2 and the ribs for a 3rd, plenty of green beans to share so by adding aq couple of fries you could have lunch for 3 Okay I'm done with the lessons, . The combo was excellent of course I couln't funish it but I gave it a good shot , I chose carrot cake for dessert which was okay ,and coffee for beverage. I listened to Sonny Eclipse while eating Now this place is huge and has a/c . Really great in HOT wether. So I give this Service/waittime an A Food an A- (Carot cake) Value an A+++++Stay tuned for Epcot Eating and Day 3...

Day 3 Epcot I headed for the World and France I had read about the Cheese plate at the Patissiere. I knew I would have to pay oop and that was fine . The cheese plate costs $5.99 and comes with 3 wedges of cheese one is swiss not sure about the other 2 and a fresh french roll , I also picked a Rasperry Suss and a cappacino which I used 2 s.c for. It was all delish. The bakery has some truly awesome pastries and quich. I sat outside in the liitle area outside. When I went service was fsat but I went back another day and the line was long and slow. I give it an A for food an A- for wait time !!
I had 5pm ressies for Chef de France that day too. I arrived at 4: 45pm and registered ( Iwas second to register) I enjoyed watching the acrobats while I waited or what ever you call the guy who balances on chairs. I was seated promptly and had a window seat my server was Tifaine and she was training another girl, si I had lots of attention. I ordered coffee and they brought some delish rolls. I ordered the Shrimp and scallop that came with a spinach flan. The presentation was beautiful Two very large sherimp were wrapped around the huge scallop There were 2 of these along with the flan It was delish I ate every bit of it . Then I ordered dessert I decided on the apple crepe. Tiffaine told me it was her favorite and she was right. The crepe was filled with apples an cinnamon flavor and came with berries and icecream I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this was. Tiffaine frequently came to ask how my meal was . 'how is everything for you Madame"" It was a truly wonderful experience This restaurant receives an A++++ all the way around. I also enjoyed chatting to the people at the next table . Being solo is FUN!! More to come so stay tuned.

Today was my first day back at work and I am exhausted so I will just do my counter service review today . I spent the day at AK on Monday and had decided to try out the new Yak & Yeti counter service( Ananapur) I chose the shrimp lo mein and the mango pie and a coke to drink. Service or should I say ordering was very slow as it appears they had to enter DDP in 2 places ??? Once ordered the food was ready . The shrimp was a good size and plentiful the noodle very tasty. The mango pie was very good also, hard to describe but I enjoyed it . It isn't very big but is tasty!! I give the food an A the ordering a C and theservice of food an A . Seating is outside with little shade though. Well I promise to add more tomorrow hopefully Iwill beless tired!!

Supper tonite was at the BOMA! Now I had read all the reviews and knew the only way to try this was ALONE. Well Iarrived early and was given a beeper . I head outside to look around but the Beeper went off so I hurry back and am seated immediately . My waitress was very nice and explained all the stations she reccommended the Seafood Gumbo for soup I tried it and it was delish lots of seafood and alittle Zing. They didn't have all those cool soups I read about but the bacon potato looked very good! Next I haed over to the hummus which I love anyway and they had 3 sorts all of which were very tasty along with the cracker typr bread. I tried a couple of cold salad and they were OK except the watermelon salad ,that was awful but it had shrimp in it which was good. Itried the couscous and did not like it Have to admit I have tried it before and didn't like it. Many of the hot dishes I didn't care for but the Falafel(sp.) they are little meatballs were delicious. The potatoes with Afritude were also great, of course the prime rib which they offer cooked in different doneness. I picked RARE .. Yum so I got plenty to eat but all in all I wouldn't make it any every time meal butnot that horrid that I would say never again . The desserts were however awesome and I tried a Zebra Dome for the first time and am now hooked they are awesome,I sampled several other delish desserts including pineapple cheesecake . I loved them all . As said I had an excellent waitress who kept my cooffee cup full and was very friendly. She told me the neww DDp was hurting her tips and that many left without tipping I felt bad for her , but I think the buffetts will be the biggest sufferes tip wise !! and so ends yet another Disney Dining Day Stay tuned >>>>>

Yes Jo I have never had a meal or experience at Disney restaurants that would make me say never again. I would do Boma again if only for the soup ,hummus and Zebra domes , but some places just become must dos and it isn't always just the food. I am busy pre pre planning next May's trip with family already and the restaurants I pick will be very different from going Solo!! Well I.m off to work for yet another gruelling day. Will cont report when I get home. DD still hasn't had time to help me !!

Day 5 My Epcot full day I had ressie for BIERGARTEN :thumbsup2 at 12:30pm I didn't have to wait long and was seated with 3 other couples 2 of which sat at one end and I sat with another couple Tina & hubby, at first he seemed at little reserved but Tina chatted away and soon he joined in. :grouphug: We all ordered drinks and the other couples joined in. Our waiter told us to go and enjoy and we did! I:banana: sampled the coldcuts which were very tasty and a few other cold salads. Then I hit the hot food, I tried the sausages which were delish and of course the warm potato salad YUMMY!!:worship: I sat down and enjoyed that and then went up for more stuff . The carved pork was so tender and tasty, my mourh is watering just thinking about it, I of course had sauerkraut which I do like, yes I kow an English kid and sauerkraut!! Then I tried a breaded or battered pork dish I think it may have been sauerbraten, :worship: Boy I thought the carved pork was good this was even better I had to have seconds and if it wasn't for the lure of dessrt...... Now I am not a big choc. dessert fan BUT the black forest cake was so good I had to have seconds. As I was eating dessert the German band came out and they were great!! I loved the way they encouraged the kids to dance and bring their parents with them. This is a definate will do again!! I give it an A+ allthe way around. This is a great place to dine Solo I would say the best of all!! Stay tuned for Le Cellier .. Hey Jo You have to have pix of this *** I ate what you ate!!:rotfl2:

Day 5 continued. I had 7pm ressiws at Le Cellier and had Jo's reccommendations in mind. :thumbsup2 While waiting to be seated one of the CMs entertained the kids (not mine I am Solo Remember):rotfl2: He had a coloring book that was blank then colored then not colored , he did other tricks too and the kids loved it. I was seated fairly soon and my waiter came right over and I ordered my usual coffee! On Jo's and others advice I tried the cheddar cheese soup and it was delish, I ordered the filet (rare0 and cheesy mashed potatoes. It was delish:banana: the steak was done perfectly (rare) and the potatoes YUMMY! Iwas getting very full but couldn't pas on dessert I had the creme brulee which I was glad was not maple and it was very good ,however I couldn't finish . The waiter was really good keeping my coffee filled and checking on me . He told me that the new ddp was getting better but it was awkward for the servers having to explain that tip was not included. I tipped over 20%. The whole time I was a generous tipper as I feel being solo he wouldn't make as much per table!  I give LeCellier an A all the way around and it is definately on my to do list now. Jo how about pix of the filet!!:lmao:

Day7 cont. I wanted to see Fantasmic for the first time so decided to give Mama Melrosa's a try!! :cool1: was seated promptly . My waitress was very nice . :thumbsup2 Iwas going to order the Artesian breads and Dips or spreads and she advised me that it was a LARGE appie. So I skipped it and ordered the Steak which came with polenta , now I had never had polenta so I asked what it was and was told Italian cornbread. I t was pretty good , as was my staek, which was ordered rare but alittle more like medium, but still good , not to be compared with Le Cellier!. For dessert I ordered Tiramusu, :cool1: which I love and I wasn't dissappointed of course I had coffee which was refilled frequently. I felt sorry for my waitress as the table next to me , a table of 7 and on DDp insisted the tip was included as thay booked in 2007. I'm not sure how it turned out but both the chef and the manager came out!! I kept thinking YOUARE NOT DISSERS!!:rotfl2: I just realised I think I skipped a day will have to go back and check. This is a totally different CS.:thumbsup2 When you arrive you are seated by a server , who hands you a card to have stamped at the various stations, you pay on the way out!! Someone gets your drink order and yes mine was coffee!! :lmao: Off I go checking it all out and that alone is fun!! I went to the Grill station and ordered a steak (rare), fench fries and veg. They cook it to order, so while I was waiting I checked out dessert. Now you are limited in the choices, the yummy desserts were not included, but I settled for brownies , achurro and a small cookie , all of which were yummy !! The steak came and it was delish  as were the fries and those grilled veggies I particularly liked the grilled eggplant!! My coffee was refilled and I left there full and feeling like I'd eaten at a TS. I paid using my DDP and nothing OOP!! I highly reccommend this place for a cs !!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

First of all how much was a cab and 2nd is there a Disney outlet at the Florida Mall????
To Fl Mall it was about $40 each way and no there wasn't a Disney outlet. In 2005 we went from DTD to the outlet and I think it was roughly $15 each way and yes there was a Disney outlet :thumbsup2 Didn't someone say that there's a bus though from DTD to the outlet?

Thanks Jo! I was trying to figure out the best way to go! There will be 7 of us but not sure the boys will want to go! If we rent it would have to be a minivan !!My concern with that is pick up and return!!

Rosie I'm sure that there is some kind of rental car pick up area on Disney property or they come and get you from your hotel and take you there, have a look on the Transport board :thumbsup2
