Hey all,

Just checking in really quickly. Work is killing me. I am part of the team bring the smart car (http://www.smartusa.com)to the US, and the work load for this project has been extreme, to say the least. I'm going to try to keep up here, but it will probably be intermittant at best.

Seaulater is correct (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=22939311&postcount=4245)- we are going to do a MouseAdventure on High Seas again. This will be the third installment (the original was on the first PC Westbound and then on the 11-night Southern Caribbean cruise in 2006).

I am going to tentatively say on the 20th - the day after Acapulco. Logistically, we will deliver the game packet to everyone's stateroom fish. From the time we do the deliveries, teams will have 24 hours to return their answer sheet to the designated location. This lets you do it at your own pace, and let you schedule it around other activities you might want to do.

The good news is that we keep this version a easier than our main game. After all, you are on vacation! Although, there will be six of the creative team from the main game on-board, helping us write it. :scared1:

This is so AWESOME! I have wanted to do a Mouseadventure for years! Can't wait.

Let me know when you have solid details, and I will add it to the calendar.

this was an employee using patient info to open credit card accts....I know many of us are facing desperate times, but why ruin your career/job?:confused3

So you have the other side of it, the production and information gathering fiends, the big time criminals will pay huge amounts of money for that kind of information. We get the fiends who are trying to use those CCs.

grrrrr I am so mad at me. For the second day in a row a sale I wanted to check out I MISSED! Gilt Groupe has their sales start at 9am Pacific time and I just now remember there was one today I wanted to look at. So of course all the cute stuff is sold out already. Ughh I am going to have to put sale dates on my calendar! They do email you when a sale starts but I had been ignoring my email today getting caught up on other things. I MUST remember that Badgley Mischka is the sale Monday! Adding it to my calendar now. It is a member only type site so if any of you want a referral to join PM me your email address and I will send you a link to sign up. I have bought a few things for the cruise from here at pretty decent prices.

Does anyone else here shop on www.Gilt.com ? They have some really good prices on designer items. Here is a little blurb about the site (from the site)
Launched in November 2007, Gilt Groupe brings the invitation-only sample sale to all of America, through our website. Gilt Groupe’s sales, which are exclusively online, provide members access to coveted fashion and luxury lifestyle brands at sample sale prices. Every sale is designer-specific, and held over a one day period.
Gilt Groupe’s team of buyers hand selects both established and up-and-coming designers relevant to members, from American designers like Zac Posen to Italian designers like Alessandro Dell’Acqua.
As a preview, Gilt Groupe’s production team creates a reel to introduce each designer brand to members and makes additional background information available through our website so that members have the opportunity to fully experience that particular brand.
Membership is by referral only and there is no fee associated with joining, however only you, the Gilt Groupe member, has access to Gilt Groupe sales.

edited to add: this was not really cruise related at ALL but I have been buying things there for the cruise so sorry for venting here. I just hate that I forget stuff sometimes!
I'd LOVE to join...but something tells me it wouldn't be a good idea for me! :rotfl: I best walk away..:rolleyes1

It didn't feel that way though. I'm sure it was much colder in Canada, so I'm not complaining. We've had an unusually cold winter this time, so I'm sort of used to it I suppose. ;)

sorry, it was slightly warmer here, and now it is 37 F. :confused3

Ian - I am so sorry to hear about your friend.

Nan - many thoughts and prayers, I hope she gets the help she needs.

PJ, yes, I am on the other end. ....it just makes me sick when it is one of our employees. Last summer a really great young guy, in school for PT who had been with us 6+ years fell on hard times and was processing credits back to his own CC on our credit card machines. It was $3k and he lost more than that in the end.

I don't know what the rest of the country sees as far as DL commercials, but I like the ones where a parent and child are together at the start of the ride, and then the parent has "become" a child so there are two children at the end of the ride. Thinking along the lines of that concept ... isn't this picture all of us?!? I know it is my family (and me!!) everytime I get near Castaway Cay ... and the MAGIC ---- that first glance in the port gets me everytime ... and it just gets better and better all week long (for us all 15 days long!!)!!

YOU HAD SNACKS!!!

Cool!!!

I for the first part kept bending over to see the progress from my desk... (my mom insisted I was watching it upside down... :rotfl: ) Then I went out to sneak a peak when it was full

Well, life has really been extremely busy over the past three weeks.

Just real quick post, because we just received the attached via email and I think it is pretty cute.

Went to Flagstaff this past weekend for some skiing and sledding. Jenna enrolled in ski school for the first time and LOVED it! She took to it like a beaver to water. She actually went up one of the BIG lifts with Shawn and I and made it all the way down the mountain like a pro. We and she, were so proud of her.

Below is a little shot of Kayla sledding with our friend Tracy.

Everytime I tried to get on here after the eclipse the boards were not working so I gave up and I got into bed to catch up on some sleep! :thumbsup2

I think it was the moon.... ;)

We are staying away from DL that weekend! and friends traveling with us are also going right home - so that's four people on the cruise who aren't going (and we're all So Cal too).

I'm hanging out at the pool at the GC... maybe cruising the parks just to get the lay of the land but I'm not there to kill myself to see it all - will be there until Friday...

Good morning all,

Yes, it is another rainy day in the southland! My flowers look great, but we're sick of it.

Here's a picture of our area - photo taken from the beach - the mountains surround us and have been covered in snow all winter. Our theory, snow should be seen and not felt.

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x16/milestogo1/v-daypartysnow040.jpg

You want some of my snow??? We're getting more tomorrow... I could send you some...

This is what I use. It's not all that attractive either, but ir holds all my stuff and whatever DH decides he no longer wants to carry.:)

I like the tapestry one. :thumbsup2

I LIVE IN THE LLBEAN HEALTHY BACK BAGS!!!!

I think I have 4 of them and the leather one is next on the list... I call it my wonder bag... I used to sneak all kinds of snacks into the shows I used to take my nieces to on Broadway...

Of course I don't know how healthy it is after I've packed it with 20 lbs of crap... :lmao:

Hey guys, it seems we have all been doing a lot of this lately but if you could send some prayers and pixie dust it would be nice. My cousin's husband (he is 42 with 3 DKs 13 and under) was taken to the hospital in Delaware, Ohio a little earlier with chest pains. They determined that he had a heart attack and has 4 blood clots in his lungs and have sent him on to a bigger hospital in Columbus (Delaware is about 30 miles north of Columbus).

Prayers for him and all the family,

Hi guys:

Popping in late tonight asking for some prayers and :wizard:

My MIL has fallen off the wagon and we've found out that my FIL has been enabling her buy buying and bringing her booze. :sad2:

We checked her in the hospital for detox tonight and will most likely get her in the morning and have her stay with us thru the weekend while we look to get her out of town to a rehab clinic.

She has done quite a few programs around here and not had sucess, but always comes home to the same issues with her husband, FIL.

She is at a very low point and during the past New Years holidays she had 2 attempts at suicide. This was not the first time for this all became very clear to us when this all came to light.

Hopefully we have gotten between MIL & FIL this time to get her to a place that she can recover and make better choices. I'm just at a loss. I just spent the last hour online looking and not knowing what and where to turn.

It's hard being the outside DIL the boys (Paul and his brother) aren't assertive with there father and clearly he is not making the situtation better for MIL.

Wish us luck and strenght in dealing with this over the next few days and weeks.

I'll be here as I can, as I know the support you guys offer is so sorely needed to get me thru.

Nan

Nan I am so sorry....This is so difficult...I lived this for 10 years....I hope so much she can get though it.

Okay I received my Disney pins yesterday from mousepinsonline.com and here's what I ordered and received! I ordered 125 grab bag pins and we ended keeping/wanting about 50 pins! We received quite a few pirate pins, chip and dale (who I love) and various princess and Tinkerbell pins! They were all the official hidden Mickey and/or cast member pins! We then received about 35 propins which are the original pins! My daughters loved these as they're brightly colored and have fun scenes so we ended up keeping some of those too!! So with that large of an order we have about 60 pins to trade! And that's if I keep them hidden until our trip, otherwise it will keep dwindling down!!

Just wanted to report on what I received!! Hope everyone else has the same luck!!!

Did you get any duplicates? They sound great and I am jealous. I can't decide how many to order. We are going to WDW first and DL after so I need lots. I told DH that is what I wanted for easter or my birthday.

Prayers, :grouphug: and pixiedust: being sent out your way - I lost my best friend on Sep 21, 2006 and she left her young son (my godson) who was only 18 months old at the time and a 9 yr old dd. It was hard - this was while we were on the 11-Night cruise in SC, Carol! That was hard - still remember - I was at the terminal getting last minute stuff for her kids when DH came back to the terminal after dropping stuff off -we'd intended to go back out - when he told me right smack in the middle of the terminal. I think people must of thought I was nutso when I burst out crying. It was hard. Really sending out some hope and prayers that he will be ok!

:scared1:

I am so excited about this. Since a Mouse adventure is like a scavanger hunt but better does everyone still want to the scavanger hunt or not? It doesn't matter to me I will still do it if we want but if not thats cool too.

Haven't been to my local Target yet, but a deal website is reporting that Target has the green Olympus SW790 on clearance for $149.99. This is the point and shoot that is waterproof to 10ft.

I will be checking a few Targets tonight. I wasn't in the market for a new camera but I like the under water feature. Right now I just use disposables when snorkeling.

Don't know if anyone is looking for a small, good point and shoot but this was posted on another thread. I have both this camera and the 770SW. The major difference between the two cameras is that the 770 does underwater shots up to 33 ft and the 790 does up to 10 ft.

The important part of this camera is that if any of you are like me - I tend to drop things or else anything electronic tends stop working for me - the 770/790SW has a feature that makes it shockproof from 5ft. I am just under 5'4" so if it falls from my neck down - it is covered. I've taken some shots with this camera and the 770SW if anyone is interested in seeing what it can do. For the price is is a great camera. It does use XD cards as compared to an SD card but that is nothing major.

The reason for markdowns? Olympus is coming out with newer versions come March - those cameras the 840SW and the 1030SW will be 10 megapixels and shockproof from 6 ft. The will retail around $400.

These cameras about 1 month ago were retailing for about $269-$300. Just saw the 770SW at Sam's club today for $269.99 - as is! So if your in the market - and don't mind a later model - this might be a great little camera for ya! Cheap too. BTW, these models are 7.1 megapixels.

Never mind think I will enclose a shot of my youngest - this is April at Seal Beach in California - last Friday. It was shot about 4:30 pm on Snow/Beach mode. It is relatively easy to change modes -just a flip of a dial. It was shot with the 790SW.

If anyone has any questions, just let me know would be happy to answer them if I can. I've had the best luck with Olympus on point and shoots.

I just can't decide. The kids say they want to stay. DH thinks after being gone 16 nights we'll be ready to come home. I could get us on a 8:30 pm flight out on Monday and my oldest could go to school Tues tired, the little ones could sleep late. There is no magical morning on Monday, HoJos is only $70, which makes me think a DLR is not worth the extra. We could check out DD on Sunday, I need to go check to see if there are fireworks.

As a person who was away for 32 days last year and had never been away for more than 8 days, he may be crying when he gets off the ship.

I'm very excited about this, I went on the website, but couldn't find any info.

I read in the paper that Lillian Vernon is filing for bankruptcy.

Guess I won't order the purse I just earmarked.

I saw the "Being Jane Austen" when it was shown on PBS (week prior to P & P). Quite interesting - didn't know much about her life.I can watch P & P over, and over, and over again :goodvibes

So this means we can't book excursions at the same time. We aren't even doing any of the same things as the other people we're linked to. Will they will have to book our excursions that they aren't even going on?

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but you could always call DCL or your TA to unlink you until after the 75th day - book everything individually (per cabin) then call back and get re linked together. That way someone in each cabin could book what ever they wanted at the same time.

;) Bobby was wearing Tyler's 100th day hat he made at school. It says "Hip Hip Hooray! We've been here 100 days!" They made those on the day his 104 fever started and when he got picked up from school, he was sound asleep on a mat, and was feeling too sick to remember everything he needed to take home. He was worried the whole time he was off school sick about leaving that hat at school. He was sure it was gone forever. I assured him the teachers knew how sick he was and they'd take care of it for him. Sure enough, they kept it in a safe place, along with his glasses that were left there too because he took those off before he fell asleep.

Actually, this is the only Bobby picture I didn't post on his thread, but I'll go do so! :thumbsup2

No realignment for us! :cool1: Actually, we lost one troop of girls down in the 4 corners area to Arizona but it was less than 30 girls and we had our realignment done in less than one day! Do you know Michelle McCormick from Santa Clara?

yup, know of her, I'm not sure if we have met or not.

Little Brownie

Only 2 bakers now. ABC and Little Brownie. I have a good friend who worked for Girl Scouts out in Calif. at the Tres Condados Council for 18+ years I think, and she went to ABC last May. If someone is dying for something from ABC I can see if she can ship some over to me. The new Lemon cookie form Little Brownie did really well in pre-sales here this year. Glad they got rid of that fudge cookie (double dutch? or something like that?) we called it "ROAD BASE"

:lmao:

we love the lemonades....:dance3:

Oh, and speaking of re-alignment, (since you asked), even though we didn't realign, we did change our fiscal year, so not only did I do a 1/1/06 to 12/31/06 audit I also got to do another one for 1/1/07 to 9/30/07 for a shortened 9 months and now we are on a 10/1 to 9/30 fiscal year each year.

So I got 2 audits in a year, and the board changed auditors since we had been with the previous ones for 8 plus years, so it was quite fun???? to say the least.

Okay, now I am going to work on getting January financials completed and out to our board of directors today!

ok, that sucks. But you have a long road until the next one now :lmao:

He couldn't stop smiling. Picture wise it is not the best shot I took but it captured how he felt the whole time perfectly. To me this picture is why Disney is worth the money. Yes, he got his new glasses. No more headaches. The whole process took a month, so it was frustrating because he couldn't see with them since they were for his original nearsighted vision, but now he's farsighted so he can't see without them either. Oh....that's in one eye, but his other eye has astigmatism, so the Dr. says his vision is quite off-balance. But it's taken care of for now. The above picture was early morning before he had put them on and the cowboy hat close-up was the end of the day so he'd just taken them off because he was headed to the bathtub. ;)

Goodnight everybody! Tomorrow at work I'll DEFINITELY be too swamped to check here, sadly. The woman I cover for on Fridays has an energizer bunny boss. He truly needs 2 people working for him because he's just so fast and spews forth massive amounts of work nonstop. Today when he came in, since he knew I'd be working for him tomorrow, he jokingly asked me if I had to go home tonight. ;) Then when I left at 5, he looked shocked when he said, "You're leaving?! You thought I was joking?! How about tomorrow morning you just bring a sleeping bag with you and you can just work til you fall asleep and camp out on the floor here and resume working when you wake up Saturday morning." :lmao: The sad part is that even if I did that, I still couldn't keep up with him! He's unbelievable. Nobody can figure out how the heck he does it. And on top of that, he's also president of the Michigan Vintners Club....AND he writes wine articles for some local magazine. And he's the calmest, nicest, most patient guy I've ever worked for. Unbelievable.

Wasn't sure when to jump in here and introduce myself, so- no time like the present. My DH and I were able to take advantage of a cancellation back in December, right before the $1000 deposit deadline. We were distraught back in January last year when we realized we had missed getting a res. for the second time for the Panama Canal crossing. However, patience paid off for us and we could not be more excited:woohoo:

It is just the two of us, I'm Vicki and my DH is Tom. We have a gty 8 and this is our 5th Disney cruise. I was able to get a res. at Palo for dinner, but missed out on brunch. Can someone confirm the 75 day mark is Monday, 2-25. I want to try again then for brunch. With all those sea days it seems odd to me that I wasn't able to get one before. I've been reading these threads since January and I see many of us are in the same boat, so to speak.

I look forward to meeting everyone in May:flower3: ,

I'm rather upset today. I don't usually bare my soul but ...

Got a huge shock this morning at work.

Someone I work with was found dead in her condo last night. I worked with her at another company. She was a really nice and smart lady. She didn't show up at work yesterday after the long weekend. They phoned and there was no answer. Work called the police who broke into the condo. She died sometime over the weekend. About 1/3 of my company all came from this other company and we all knew each other. I was just pissed off and angry all day.

It was just one of those days.

Sorry Ian, that is terrible.

The above picture was early morning before he had put them on and the cowboy hat close-up was the end of the day so he'd just taken them off because he was headed to the bathtub. ;)

That's great news! I'm sure Tyler's happier now.

I'm sure. But you know kids.....when we asked him if he can see better, he just shrugged and said, "I guess". KIDS! But he's not taking them off to rub his eyes nonstop, he's not taking them OFF to see or looking over the top anymore to see, and not saying his eyes burn. So....from those clues, at least his eyes are happier!

Could happen in some situations, but he first got glasses almost a year and a half ago and his other issues were going on years before and during and now still, so probably not in his case. His next evaluation is 3/5 with an occupational therapist for sensory issues. She'll take 2 appointments to evaluate him. Oh....and his pediatrician will give us a decision on 3/17 about tubes in his ears and depending on what she says, we'll see the ENT shortly after that, as soon as we can be seen.

Hi Everyone,

Looking for some advice for posting a box of stuff to the ship beforehand...Is this a common thing to do? How soon before did you send your items? Anything special, or just regular post? I will be posting my things from Australia via our postal service, but it is just the regular post, not a courier or anything...

Did anyone have any troubles/things I should look out for?

I know the address is in the first post - thanks to all the organisers on this thread who take care of us!

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Oh...NOT your imagination!

I'm hanging out at the pool at the GC... maybe cruising the parks just to get the lay of the land but I'm not there to kill myself to see it all - will be there until Friday...

One of my favorite things about staying at the GC, is to put your swim suit on under your clothes, ride Grizzler River about 8 times in a row, walk around the corner and over to the pool, strip out of your wet clothes and go for a swim! :thumbsup2

OK, I know quoting myself is a sign of insanity....but I AM SO HAPPY!! The stupid all day yucky gross terrible horrible meeting I had for the day tomorrow has been postponed because of our bad weather.....we all have to drive up to 150 miles to attend this meeting........

:scared1:

YES:cool1: Need to go add clipboard to packing list!!!!!

Thanks

Nan - so sorry - luck, strength, pixie dust and prayers for you and your family....a hug too.

Thanks

Thanks

Nan, prayers on the way for your family. :grouphug: Addictions are just so difficult and never go away. It is a lifetime battle, one day at a time.

Thanks, and I agree, just so much of this is new to me I'm overwhelmed....

Oh Nan, hang in there. It is just a terrible disease and it certainly doesn't help for her DH to enable her. Our prayers are with you and your family and for the safety of your MIL.
Lisa

Thanks

Thanks

Nan, I know this story a little too well, if you need help finding a place, call me this morning.

Thanks, I wish I could call for this help, unfortunately she back peddled and yelled and screamed at Paul that she had to go home. :sad2:

We are meeting with her therapist tomorrow to get some advice on how to deal.

I will email you later and we can talk about what might be a good down the road option for her, when and if she is ready to go again. She has done a live in here already and 3 times for a 30 day program

 Hope it all turns out. It's tough when they enable.

 Nan, so sorry you have to go through this again, what a difficult time this is for you and your family.

Nan,

So sorry to hear about your MIL. We have other issues with DMIL and I can totally understand your feelings about being the outside DIL. It certainly is frustrating. Perhaps DFIL,your DH and his brother will look into AL-ANON.

No chance for FIL (not D in my mind these days) he refused to believe that therapy helps and he belittles her for going. It really sucks. Paul and I are going to look into it very soon.

Thanks for all the support please keep the prayers going. :grouphug:

So, last night I took the time to play around with my new camera and try printing pics and such....All the pics are really "grainy" I can't tell if it is our printer, that I have the resolution set too low or a step I am missing. I know a few of you have (and love) the Rebel...can you PM me for some possible help. I have some great shots that look great on the computer but when they get printed they look horrible.

Thanks for any advice.

describe your settings, and read the troubleshooting guide. mine are great and I don't do anything special, usually use the auto focus too.

Read everything!!!!!

About the ship and its layouts or just Disney in general? Or on their website? Yes, I'm a BIG planner too!!!

In fact, when my husband and I went to Disney World for our 1st anniversary I had a map of every park with rides listed and wrote what time we needed to be at what ride (luckily it was the off season)!! Hey it worked!! We saw the all the parks in 3 days and I broke my foot the day before we left!!! But now with kids I have learned to adjust (or at least I'm trying)!!!:rotfl:

I don't know what the rest of the country sees as far as DL commercials, but I like the ones where a parent and child are together at the start of the ride, and then the parent has "become" a child so there are two children at the end of the ride. Thinking along the lines of that concept ... isn't this picture all of us?!? I know it is my family (and me!!) everytime I get near Castaway Cay ... and the MAGIC ---- that first glance in the port gets me everytime ... and it just gets better and better all week long (for us all 15 days long!!)!!

:tinker: Karen

I love those commercials so cute and so true :thumbsup2

Okay, so I have a story to share from yesterday......

Decided to run a couple of errands late in the afternoon and then come back to work. I had parked my car out at the front of the building because all the spots to the side were gone when I came to work.

So, I NEVER, and I mean NEVER, leave the building through the front entrance, but I gathered up my purse, and since I'm on the 2nd floor, I went out the middle and down our atrium stairs and decided once I was at the bottom to use the ladies restroom before I left.

Well, I NEVER, and I mean NEVER, use that restroom. I either use the one upstairs or go down the back staircase and use the one on the first floor, but I did. So used my key to get in. Did my thing, and then......

When I went to leave, the door on the stall was broke and I couldn't get out. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Now, normally, this would not take me over the edge, but based on the events of the last month, that was just the final straw.

So, luckily I had my cell phone and called my office and asked to talk to our director of property so she could come get me out. Well, I had her paged, but to no avail, she did not answer.

So, I had the Chief Operations Officer paged and she was in a meeting but answered and I said Lisa.....would you come down to the atrium and come into the ladies restroom because I have a problem I need help with.

Well, she just happened to be in a meeting with the property manager and they both came down to the bathroom and when they entered and I told them I was stuck in the stall they hysterically started laughing and almost wet their pants.

Needless to say, it has been the joke around the office all day that I got stuck in the bathroom stall and didn't want to crawl on the floor to get out.

I really, really, need a cruise!

Thank goodness you had your cell phone. It could have been worse, it could have involved an ugly typo and tums. :lmao:

When I let the dog out at 7:30 AM it was almost -2 here.

Cork and Marilyn maybe we could have a table team. I will have to look and see if I still have the one from the 11 night. I didn't get a chance to do it because of other things but would like to try it this time. Bet we would see things on the ship we wouldn't see other wise.

I am so excited about this. Since a Mouse adventure is like a scavanger hunt but better does everyone still want to the scavanger hunt or not? It doesn't matter to me I will still do it if we want but if not thats cool too.

I don't think you can ever have too many scavenger hunts!!

Well, having read a little about Mouseadventures I think I won't be any good on a team! I know nothing!!!:lmao:

You don't need to know anything to have lots of fun at Mouseadventure! You need to have someone on your team who's VERY observant, someone who's great at puzzles of all kinds, someone with a good memory and then MAYBE someone who knows some Disney trivia.

It's SO much fun!

Leanne:thumbsup2 :) :flower3:

I've only sent stuff to the ship via UPS or Federal Express. I don't know that I'd trust any method that didn't have package tracking capabilities.

PERHAPS one of our FL cruisers would arrange to have you send regular post to them and they could then send it on via currier to the ship. This would take some lead time,of course. Do you even have any idea how long it takes a package via your mail service to reach the US? Perhaps our UK friends have a suggestion too...if they've done it before.

Actually, just thinking about this is making my head hurt right now:headache: I need to get some sleep.

So sorry about your friend. Feel free to say whatever you like on this board. That's what we are here for.
Ditto...I'm sorry about what happened...hopefully your coworkers that knew her could be of support
I saw the "Being Jane Austen" when it was shown on PBS (week prior to P & P). Quite interesting - didn't know much about her life.

I can watch P & P over, and over, and over again :goodvibesWe just saw that last night...wow I cried so much it was heartwrenching at times and I guess I'm a typical american always wanting the happy ending:sad2: what a good movie about her life

So sorry to hear this  I hope you can get your MIL to a place that can help her get on the road to recovery and help her to make better choices for herself in the future. Maybe the FIL can be urged into counseling and join something along the lines of Al Anon to get help in understanding he is only hurting her by being an enabler.
:grouphug:I agree maybe in time he'll come around...hang in there Nan:grouphug: she needs you now

Haven't been to my local Target yet, but a deal website is reporting that Target has the green Olympus SW790 on clearance for $149.99. This is the point and shoot that is waterproof to 10ft.

Don't know if anyone is looking for a small, good point and shoot but this was posted on another thread. I have both this camera and the 770SW. The major difference between the two cameras is that the 770 does underwater shots up to 33 ft and the 790 does up to 10 ft.
Laura, thanks so much for posting. Tonight we found the Olympus 790SW for $149. It's perfect for our needs.

The park versions have a trivia aspect to them in addition to the quests so we have the A-Z Disney Encyclopedia.

We have had a blast on the 2 Mouseadventures we've done so far - park versions.

No chance for FIL (not D in my mind these days) he refused to believe that therapy helps and he belittles her for going. It really sucks. Paul and I are going to look into it very soon.

I'm keeping about 3 of the 25 I ordered:thumbsup2

:scared1:

Can you point us to a place to see what is a Mouse Adventure??? I wanna play, just wanna know the rules and stuff.

Below is the best description we have for MouseAdventure - just replace Disneyland with Disney Magic. We don't expect you to know much in advance. If you can think, you can play. There isn't much you can do to prepare, really. A clip board is usually a good idea, along with a couple of sharp pencils.

Anyone can play - and the nice thing about being able to have a full day is that you can do it at your own pace. (Unlike the park game which is under a time limit - and there is never enough time to do everything). We really try to keep the shipboard version much lower key. I am posting the hardest question we did on the 11-night Southern Caribbean cruise below so you can see what they might look like.

And Linda - there is to be NO LEFT TURNS on deck 10. We want to keep everyone on board, safe and sound.

that looks hard to me, but fun :woohoo:

I forgot to report what a great find I had last night! I was checking out United website and looked out my direct SFO-MCO flight, which was $350, and it was for $149! I quickly called and got over a $1200 refund to my credit card!! How great is that?

All the talk about buying pins got me thinking about another way to surprise my kids with the cruise. Usually, the Easter bunny leads a trail of candy from their room to the family room. Maybe I should leave a trail of Disney pins!

It was $3k and he lost more than that in the end.

thanks V

About the ship and its layouts or just Disney in general? Or on their website? Yes, I'm a BIG planner too!!!

In fact, when my husband and I went to Disney World for our 1st anniversary I had a map of every park with rides listed and wrote what time we needed to be at what ride (luckily it was the off season)!! Hey it worked!! We saw the all the parks in 3 days and I broke my foot the day before we left!!! But now with kids I have learned to adjust (or at least I'm trying)!!!:rotfl:

by not breaking your foot huh :scared1: :lmao:

It's 11:15pm and this is the first time I've been able to get on. Wonderful - I only have 37 pages to catch up on!!

Alright, I am going to order those pins too. Glad they worked out. Taylor is excited to have pins to trade.

Any west coasters want to form a mouseadventures team? Nan, Marr??? Anyone. Sounds like fun, and I am super competitive...(ie..we can win!) hahahahaha

So I have my phone back. After 24 hours w/o it, I really missed it. I didn't realize how much I use it over my home phone. I can wait for the iphone until gps is really on it.

Wilson and I will join (only a winning team) we are sore losers and we win EVERYTHING....Molly is really sweet and we can pawn her off on some unsuspecting team, perhaps Monica will take her (darn I let the plan out of the bag) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think the Blabbly Gabby Trips have to run this game together.....

You don't need to know anything to have lots of fun at Mouseadventure! You need to have someone on your team who's VERY observant, someone who's great at puzzles of all kinds, someone with a good memory and then MAYBE someone who knows some Disney trivia.

It's SO much fun!

~T

I LOVE stuff like this! My DH is excellent with puzzles of all kinds, he is analytical and observant. I have a pretty good memory(I think:confused3 ), and we are both pretty good with WDW park trivia, and a wealth of useless trivia in general. Not very good on kids movies done by Disney, though.

Canon Rebel Help please....

If your ISO is set high you could end up with grainy pics. Usually the top level of the ISO settings is not that great to use for darker/ no flash pics.

Grainy pics can result from a printer setting that is set to text rather pics. So you might want to check your printer settings too.

As others have stated, you might not have the setting high enough on the camera as to quality of shot.

There are actually lots of reasons why the pics wouldn't turn out. One thing would be to post a pic on here so people can see the "grainy" pic and then we may be able to help with it being a camera or a printer "error"...

Ohg, I'm glad you had your cell phone!!!!:lmao:

Many thanks to those of you who directed me to the cruise meet! This is our fifth cruise with Disney! first time through the canal!:thumbsup2 Will be travelling with DH, DS (12), and DD (10)

Welcome.

The only thing that would make this story any funnier is if you were pooping tums!:rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

When I let the dog out at 7:30 AM it was almost -2 here.

Cork and Marilyn maybe we could have a table team. I will have to look and see if I still have the one from the 11 night. I didn't get a chance to do it because of other things but would like to try it this time. Bet we would see things on the ship we wouldn't see other wise.

Carol

Sounds a good idea but John isn't too keen on the whole thing. I think he wants to see all about it first!!!!

I am on page 112......so I have a lot to catch up on tonight.

this is tonight

Drive Annie to Work
Pick Gretchen up from Alice in Wonderland
Drive Gretchen to Tap and Jazz (2 hours)
Pick up Annie at work
Take Annie to Footloose practice
Pick Gretchen up from Tap and Jazz

Don will bring them home from Footloose.

And then tomorrow it starts all over again.

I look forward to meeting everyone in May:flower3: ,
Vicki

Make sure you see the Space Needle. Course its been years but Seattle has some great nature walks. Pick up a hiking guide and they have some fabulous nature hikes that you can do as a family. Not very long or as long as you want.

Its been a few years but just before I left there - lived there for 3 years - we managed to do the underground tour of old Seattle. Basically it was discovered that at one time ( I think due to fire) Seattle was rebuilt over old parts of town. Its very old west. There's old drugstores, bath houses, things that you might find interesting. Good for a bit of reminiscing.
