Well, I took Destiny to our consult visit with the endo regarding her short stature yesterday.

They said her height is in the 1st %tile and her weight is in the 2nd %tile. On a good note, her weight for her height is excellent at 21st %tile. :lmao:

Anyway, we don't know anything yet, of course. The bone xray they did showed about a 2 year delay even though her height is about 3 years delayed.

They drew five vials of blood-poor kid! She did great though.:thumbsup2

The only thing he ruled out was Turner's Syndrome. Anyway, he said in about 2 weeks we should get a letter from him regarding the results of the blood test and what he thought should be our next step.

I hate waiting. :lmao:

Congratulations, you made it through a really tough day! Keep us posted on how she's doing, I'm sending out my thoughts and prayers (if that's ok), and of course:grouphug: LOL Nicole

I just saw your post today. I have a son who has been diagnosed w/ a HGH deficiency. He is 13 and will be starting HGH shots next week. We have been seeing the ped endo for three years. How old is your DD? If you have any questions I can help you with, feel free to ask!!

She'll be 11 in April.

We just got the letter from the endo today. He said her IGF-1 was low and they want to schedule a GH stimulation test. What do I expect from that? I called to schedule it, but they haven't called me back yet.

I told Destiny about it and she says "Man, I'd better get an expensive toy out of all this!" :rotfl: (Poor kid)

Our Katie may need growth hormone. She's almost ten. Her bone age is not delayed but she's fallen from 50th percentile to less than 3rd. She's 48." We have a follow up appointment in April and we'll know then what they want to do. Since she's almost 10 we need to address this.

Our Katie's was 22/23 weeks at birth but had caught up in height by age four. After that, she hasn't grown much in height. She's finally looking a little older. She's looked 5-7 for several years.
