I''m on Long Island.

You just convinced me to do a load of laundry or two before venturing to the supermarket. (Tonight is my daughter's slumber party. I need food.) I have no idea how cold it is out, but I'm in no rush to find out.

Its about 15 here in Gardner, Ma. Hopefully in 8 weeks, The LA weather will be in the 70's and sunny for a week. I need a vacation from this cold weather being a native Southern Californian.

Today, Wednesday - it is sunny and bright and about 21 degrees. Yesterday snow squalls. I keep telling myself that all the snow will be gone in the spring... then we'll start MUD season, then black fly season, then a short summer and we're back to fall & winter - no wonder escaping to WDW is sooo appealing!! LOL:rotfl:

Dumbest move of the week:

Yesterday we went to visit my inlaws, who live about 45 minutes away. When we got there, I took all the coats that people had taken off and brought them into the house, knowing that they would be freezing by the time we left.

Before leaving, of course, I made sure that each of the kids was wearing one of those nice warm coats.

My husband is a different story. He knew he had left his coat in the car, so didn't go into the bedroom to retreive it.

It's a parka and they're saying snow this weekend.

Guess where I'm going today???

I live in Saco, Maine and we are looking at high 20's today. :sad2: Makes me really miss WDW when it's cold like this. At least it's not below zero...:cold: ....yet.

Here in Connecticut I think the high was about the same, a nice crisp 26 degrees :scared1: I've also heard to expect 6-8 inches of snow Friday into Saturday....guess we'll be stuck home- again! DH and I are spending some time on our next trip looking at houses in Florida, we are done with this freezing cold!!!! :goodvibes

It is nice, sunny, and a balmy 12 outside here. Of course that is without the wind chill. I have not even checked on that lately it is too depressing. Although I prefer this weather to Florida in September. I know call me crazy.

OK, I have had enough winter. It's officially -17 right now. Not even factoring in any windchill.

We may actually get our first snow of the season tomorrow!!!

OK-- it IS "wasted snow" with no possibility for a day off from school-- Long Island schools are already off for February break.

But my kids would be SO happy to have a day to play in the snow-- keep your fingers crossed for us, OK?

It is 15 degrees here in Maine. I feel your pain! We too are going in October, but not for Halloween. We are going on the 7th. When I get bummed out about the weather, I sit on Youtube and watch Wishes and watch rides and feel like I am there. Have a great vacation.

I'm from Saco, Maine and I feel your pain. I am typing this watching it snow for the 80th time this season. Ugh!! enough is enough. With this storm we should be breaking the 100 inch mark for total snow this winter. :sad2:

Oh what I wouldn't give for the fun and warmth of WDW right now. :cloud9:

DITTO the above poster, it seems like it has been snowing here since ...oh I can't remember when, there is 2 ft. on the ground and where my husband has plowed the plow mountains (is that a phrase) are 7 ft. tall. But we're counting down to our trip.........nothing will stand in our way.........58 days to go.:dance3:
