looking for a hotel for first nite before reservations starts. we want to be close to downtown disney to shop but want to save money so it doesnt have to be a downtown disney resort. we dont mind a 5-10 min drive for one nite. looking for a really good rate on a descent clean place to stay. not worried about amenities, just need a place to sleep and shower before reservations start.

mikewdw, try posting on the discussion board: Orlando Hotels & Attractions......if you look around there you'll see lots of posts regarding this same issue..
