View Full Version : CR cancelled my reservation!

Honest me, my DH, and 3 DS's went to check in on Feb 6th and there was no reservation for us. The staff told us it had been cancelled. :eek: We had a package with dining pd in full. Now this is no way ruined my vacation it was just a small bump in the road. It did take them 2 hours to find us a room. But they did get us in the room we pd for. Tower MK veiw but it was almost surreal. We did get the room that we wanted and all was good but how crazy!!!

I guess the moral of that story is that (unfortunately) we are always going to have to confirm a few days before our trips and have confirmations with us!

The crazy part is we did confirm 2 days before and luckily we had and always have our confirmations. It worked out fine but is was very unreal!

Good thing you had your paperwork with you, otherwise, I imagine they could make life miserable. I am always paranoid about that happening to me. I am glad things worked out for you.

Just remember, the more times you confirm your ressie, the more chances for a CM to accidentally press the wrong "button" and poof your ressie is gone. Make sure you always have your printed confirmation with you(and a huge helping of patience).

Glad everything worked out and you didn't let it be more than just a "speed bump" on your trip.

I am sorry you went threw all that waiting, however it's good you did not let it effect your vacation at WDW and it's good they got you the Magic Kingdom view which you paid for.

Wow, I would have freaked out.:scared1: Very glad to hear that you did not let it take over your vacation. Some have said to reconfirm. IMO don't think that's a good idea. More chances for someone to mess up. I called Disney yesterday to see if we can upgrade to a different building for this April and I am so paranoid that something will happen to our ressie. It's still online. :thumbsup2 I told my DH I won't be calling anymore.

I say if you want to confirm any WDW Resort reservation you may have, it's better to check it online threw their website and not calling CRO. By doing this you don't risk calling CRO and by mistake having them cancel your reservation.

Oh I totally agree. I check my ressie on line at least once a day. Can't help it. I have only called once which was yesterday and that will be the last time. I get to paranoid that something is going to happen to our ressie.:scared:

Yeah know you may be right. Calling before may be what did me in. I only called because we had upgraded to the MK veiw room when it became available a few days before leaving. (Thanks triplefigs it is a great room!) And I checked our ressie a before leaving because I was a little paranoid it wasn't right. Otherwise I would never have called. That may have been what went wrong. And I almost left the paper confirmation in the car at the airport. So glad I remembered!!!

Wow that is crazy. One time we arrived at the BW and found out they had somehow booked us 2 of the same exact ressie. Kind of crazy the cm kept insisting I booked 2 of the same package for the same people. Finally the manager came over and looked at her like she was crazy and sent us on our way to a wonderful room!!!! We were given BW view even though we didnt pay for it.

This past summer at BWI the CM insisted I had already checked in and been assigned my room. I insisted just as vigorously that my family and I had just arrived ;) Then he put us in the BWV in a room for 4 when we had 5 on our ressie. It was annoying and I'm in no rush to return there again!

You would have been on the 8th floor room 4428. It was just a wonderful veiw. Thank you so much!!!! My boys were in awe!
