May long weekend airfare

Hello fellow Canadian Dis'ers!! I was wondering if anyone knew if historically there are airfare deals to be had the May long weekend? Trying to plan a quick get away, hopefully leaving early Friday morning and returning, mid afternoon Monday. We have never gone in May before so really have no clue about airfare costs. Cost right now out of Detroit (prefer Flint, but we'll take Detroit!) is approx. $750 for 4 of us. I don't think that's too bad, but wondered if they will get any cheaper??

Historically, that is when my in-laws tend to travel. From their experience, if you can leave on the "off peak" days (Wed/Thurs) come back on the Tuesday or Wednesday, they find the deals to be much improved. I don't know if that will work based on your scenario below, but might be worth checking how much you *could* save if you leave a day earlier or later.
