View Full Version : VB Beach Cottage
Am I going to have to buy points there inorder to get one of those?
I may be able to buy a condo on the beach if the prices keep crashing.
I'm not sure if it's absolutely necessary, but we did buy points there - and added on twice - to make sure we could always get one.
Our tradition is to get one each Labor Day.

Most likely yes. It really depends when you want to go. I own there and didn't get one for this summer. Seeing that there are only six of these they are hard to come by.

I have only heard of a couple people reserving a BC at 7 months. This was mostly in the fall.
I don't know but would assume spring, summer and holidays during the weekdays would be difficult. Since the weekends are so high point wise, they may be much easier.
We purchased a VB contract to get BC during winter or spring breaks.

We also purchased VB points in order to get the BC. I have a ressie for this July which I called at 11 mos out, day by day, right on time to get. One morning the CM was having a problem adding on to our ressie and by the time he got it straightened out, there was only 1 BC left which we quickly grabbed:scared1: . This was around 4 minutes after MS opened that day. Hope it helps!:)

We've used points and cash. It all depends on the time of year.

I was there for Spring Break (mid March) and people in the BC had rented it less than 7 months out. Someone recently posted that they got one day by day for early September at 7 months.
We have one beginning June 22nd and booked it day by day at 11 months.
