Western Excursions

This question is for anyone who has been to Cozumel.Is there a way that we can get into the Chankanaab National Park without having to do one of the excursions that are going to be offered through disney?If so,is there a place where we can see the dolphins without having to do the dolphin discovery excursion?

We are also planning to visit Chaukanaub (sp?) by catching a taxi. I believe the admission is only $10pp, and I've read that you can see the dolphins, iguana's & pretty much everything but the sea lion show with the regular admission. Sea Lion Show is $5pp.

We're doing all excursions on our own... cheaper and less crowded.
