We were scheduled for the 4-day Wonder cruise Oct 26-30, but had to rebook to this cruise due to my wife and daughter's schedules. Anyone else from the boards going on this cruise?
Our first and only cruise experience was a 4-night Wonder cruise in late January 2007. The weather will, I bet, be MUCH different this time than the first time.
Looking forward to seeing "Toy Story The Musical" and snorkeling in what hopefully will be a little warmer water than what we experienced Jan '07. Brrrr!!

gortman65,
Hi! We also had to change our plans. We were originally on the Sept 4th cruise but had to move to this one. "We" consists of my 13 year old daughter and I on a 'Mom and Me' fun vacation.
Of course, we are heartbroken that the date change moves us one month closer to embarkation. NOT :cool1:
Anyone else joining us? C'mon.....anyone?

Well in whole there will be ten of us going. This includes my 2 grandparents, 2 aunts, an uncle, a little cousin who's 6, my parents, and my sister(13) and I(17).

Great to see that some fellow DISers will be on the cruise. We are still waiting for our room assignment -- anyone already have theirs?
Are you planning to do any excursions during the Nassau day? At first we were going to stay onboard to enjoy the ship, but then decided we should be more adventurous. So DW is signed up for the morning Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Enounter and I will be tagging along as an observer. Our DD will either be encountering or observing based on how she's feeling that day. :)
45 days and counting to cast off!

We are also on this cruise, myself (39), my wife (40), daughter (7) and son (5)...I booked this cruise over a year ago...i can't believe its only weeks away. On Nassau day I'm planning on going to the Wynham on Cable Beach for a day pass...great value for $15 per person to use all of their facilities.

Very exciting, 4 families now. Thanks for starting the the thread 'pirate'.
We haven't signed up for any shore excursions yet. We did a Nassau dolphin encounter some years ago and Stacy said she'd pass. Is the Wyndam tour a Disney thing? I'm going to look because I don't remember seeing it.
Now, are we supposed to wear green or decorate the doors? This is a pretty small group. Ideas?

the Wyndham at Cable Beach sells day passes for $15 a day for full use of all the pools, beaches and restaurant/bars...also I believe it includes the use of the Sheraton right next door. I have never done this, but lots on this board have and they say its great. You either take a short cab ride or take the "Jintey bus # 10" right by the straw market. This is not a Disney thing at all. You can also read alot about the Wyndham on www.cruisecritic.com.

We just found that we'll be joining you all! Just booked today, in fact.
There will be five of us, Dad (48), Mom (58), Nathan (17), and my twin brother Joshua and myself (Rachel) will be turning 20 the day before we sail. :)
I'm almost beside myself with excitement! :teeth:

This will be our first DCL cruise. We are doing a Land/Sea and got upgraded from CBR to the Dolphin for the land portion!:yay: DD(24) and I are sharing a stateroom and my friend and her two DD's (23 and 20) are sharing another. We are still Cat12 GTY so we'll see if we get an upgrade on our sea portion, too!

Teacher510, I'm so glad to hear that there will be others near the age of my brother and myself on board! You all will have a wonderful time; DCL really spoils you. :)

So, has anyone received their documents? We're newbies but I understand that we should expect them in a week or so? We booked a Cat12 GTY for our Land/Sea trip and haven't heard about a stateroom yet. We did get upgraded from CBR to the Dolphin a few weeks ago though!:yay: We've stayed at the Swan before so we know how nice the location is! We plan to stay on the ship when we're in Nassau. That'll be our "day at sea!" I can't believe that it's almost here!:woohoo:

We haven't received our documents yet. They should arrive about 2 weeks before the sail date, though, along with the luggage tags and all that. I think that final stateroom decisions are also in the packet (though I don't remember that well; I didn't pay much attention to such things on our previous cruises).
You won't regret staying on the ship in Nassau. My first cruise we left the ship in Nassau and I felt I hadn't had enough time to enjoy the Wonder! I also recommend getting to the port early so you can get on the ship as soon as they start boarding. Even though you won't sail for hours, you can learn your way around, eat, swim, and generally start your vacation! :)

Thanks for the info. I don't know what time the bus is picking us up to go to the port. It was 12:30 from CBR but I haven't been able to find out the time for the Dolphin.:confused3 I imagine that it will be about the same. The plus to not leaving for the port early is time to visit MK one last time! Not a bad trade-off. We should still get to the Wonder with a few hours to explore!:)

We haven't gotten our cruise documents yet, either, although our GTY changed to an actual stateroom number this past weekend.

I guess I was thinking that we would be contacted when our GTY changed until I read your post. So, I checked my ressie and we have a stateroom too. It still says Cat 12 (maybe because that's what we paid for?) but it's actually a Cat 11 on deck 5. We booked with my friend and her DD's and I thought that they would be bumped up since they have 3 so I thought that we might get Cat 11 too. Given a choice I would rather be upgraded for our resort, as we were, than a stateroom since I think that we'll just be sleeping in our stateroom. Although, from what I read, the stateroom could change even at the port. Either way we're happy!:)

Good for you! We booked a Cat 9 and that's what we were assigned. We are happy with what we originally booked -- it's only 5 staterooms aft of the one we stayed in for our first cruise.

Hi everyone! We just booked a last minute cruise with you all. "We" is myself and my 13 year old daughter. We are experienced cruisers and have been on several Disney cruises, so we know what to expect and can't wait till we depart! Is there anyone else traveling with a girl around my daughter's age? I'm hoping to hook her up with some friends as soon as we arrive!

Did you get your luggage tags and all that yet? We got ours yesterday, but we live a lot closer so it might take yours a few more days to arrive.
We also got our stateroom numbers, lucky Deck 2. :woohoo: We've stayed on Deck 2 on all our other cruises, so we know it'll be awesome.
And IMaBocaPirate, welcome to the cruise! Nothing like a last-minute booking, is there? :) So exciting. Nobody in my party is the age of your DD, but I hope you find her a buddy. :D

Our luggage tags were in there. Not the i.d. kind, the paper ones for the transfers. We're still on deck 5. The only other thing was a checklist and a booklet with transfer and return flight info. Our flight times have changed slightly and the return flight has a different number now. I entered the new info online but the old info was on our document for the return flight. Should I call to give them the changes or will they access it from what I entered on the website? I want to make sure that we have no problems with our pick-up at Orlando Airport.Does it sound like we're missing anything?:confused3 Thanks!:)

I'd like to be going to WDW before the cruise, but I don't think we can make it.
BTW, I notice you're in Denver. I'm actually flying there this Sunday for a conference! As the ride says, it's a small world. :D
Teacher, even though you entered the info on the website, I'd still call DCL just to be safe. :)

Thanks, Princess. I'll give DCL a call today.
We're doing the Land/Sea so we'll be at WDW Aug3-7. We booked CBR but got upgraded a few weeks ago to the Dolphin!:cool1: 4 days is not going to feel like enough but we were there at Christmas and we can look forward to DCL!:)

Hi everyone newbie here
just booked yesterday for the 7th -10th
dont have a clue never been on a cruise DH
has been on several but not a dwcruise
Im trying to search everything but my head is spinning.
One major question food is not included in the cruise.
Thanks for any help everyone

Onboard food is most definitely included in the cruise price. The only extra charges you might encounter would be for eating at Palo, ordering alcoholic beverages, and things you buy at the adult Cove Cafe. And possibly some of the room service items, although I'm no expert in this area.
Please let us know what other questions you have -- we would be happy to help.
Welcome aboard!!!

Hey everyone! Just joining the thread. Although we are Disney veterans, my two daughters(11 and 7) and I will be on our first Disney Cruise. Very much looking forward to it. I'm just wondering how much they will want to hang with dad on the ship??

Hi Disneyflyer! Welcome! I've been on a bunch of Disney cruises, but this is the first one that I'll be on traveling alone with my 13 year old daughter. We started cruising on Disney when she was 5. My experience is that she didn't want to spend too much time with me (sorry!). In fact, she never wants to leave the kids' areas! That's a credit to Disney. This time around, I set limits with her. She will be with the teens this time, but we will do meals and shows together. I'm sure you will all have a great time!

IMaBocaPirate, I like your thinking regarding time with family and time with teens. I think I am going to tell my kids the same thing. This is the second cruise for us, myself, DH, DD(14), DS(12). I am really looking forward to getting away.
Hope to see you all aboard a week from tomorrow! Happy travels!
