Can someone tell me about the Mummy. Does it have any part where things crawl on you like HISTA or ITTBAB? I will not go on either of those so I would like to know in advance if I want to do The Mummy or not. Thanks for your help.
And is there anything else I should be leary of? I've done all the roller coasters so I'm not a total wimp but I just don't like things crawling on me in the dark.:scared1:

The only part where it may feel like something is crawling on you is if someone in your group uses their fingers on the back of your neck. :p
There's a small water blast in the scarab room, but nothing crawly.

Thanks, that sounds like something I can handle.

I was wondering about this ride too. I am a roller coaster wimp.
What is Mummy like? Can you compare it to anything at WDW? I don't like herky/jerky and I don't like big drops. I am ok with Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain but not a big fan of Splash Mountain (too steep) not RnR (too jerky). Will I like Mummy?
If you are okay with Space and Big Thunder, you should be fine.

Breezy, I am the wimp of wimps when it comes to coasters or steep log flumes, etc. However, I loved the Mummy. I can’t compare it to anything else, really… may be Expedition Everest, but just a little more intense and shorter. But like Damo said, if you are ok with Space Mountain, you should be fine with the Mummy. I did close my eyes a few times but had a blast otherwise. Nothing crawls on or touches you (I was concerned about it as well). Even the part where mummies pop up is not too bad – they weren’t as close as I thought they would be. :thumbsup2
Just remember that after the launch (it is very little, don't worry), the ride goes dramatically to the RIGHT. So be prepared for that.

NO, nothing crawls on you.
I dont think Universal would be allowed to do that lol.
In the beginning, the ride stops and its like an illusion type thing (like a screen) and bugs crawl out from the walls (not real bugs, like I said a screen)
like 3D.
But that's it! I say ride it, its so much fun! It's my favorite ride in both of the parks.
I rode it 6 times in a row :) and willing to ride it plenty more times next time I go.

I'm the biggest ride chicken out there (just ask my kids) and I rode the Mummy without any problems (actually I ended up riding it more than once because I really liked it).
