Hi Bobbie! I am new to the boards and spent the last couple of hours going through your trip report which is fantastic. Your wedding and reception were beautiful! I'm so sorry to hear about the trauma you've been through since the wedding - but you both seem to be taking it so well it's inspiring.

I wanted to thank you for your fantastic insights on your wedding since I am also getting married at the WP (2:30pm) and my reception will also be at the Italy Isola from 5-10pm (so we end with illuminations). I've been debating whether to extend the dinner to include dancing/DJ - but was worried about the time gap from the end of illumination from when the dancing could start. Your dancing photos look great and now I'm thinking of adding it in. Would you recommend it?

Can I also ask how your table set up was? I was hoping to have the Oprah setting which is a big circular table (but this seats 50-65) and we might have to change it since we've added a few to the invite list (we might have 75 coming). Did you have round tables of 8? or 10? long rectangular tables?

well as for the isola, illuminations will be over by 9:20, I couldn't turn my dj on till 10:15 we were told no amplified music till after park closes and all guests are out, but we were able to eat, see our guests in that time,
you will have the music from Italy playing while the park is open.
we had 50 guests and had the area set up Cocktail style with round tables of 4, we had our square sweetheart table, then we also had some round highboy (barlike) tables near the fountain. I will search thru picts to find some of the setting, I'm supposed to be getting my picts fr Randy this week, so he might have better ones. i have alot more info in my PJ you'll see the link in my signature.

Bobbie so glad to hear you are both OK. That's so scary. The only accident I ever had (I fishtailed on wet leaves) my Honda hit a parked truck (who was parked to close to the corner) and the front of my car went under the pick-up trucks bumper. They had a few bumper scratches and my car was practically totaled. You're right the trucks win - of course they're not really designed to be driven by short girls like me :rotfl:so I'm stuck with my Honda for now! Continue to get well soon! And I can't wait to see the Randy pics when you get them.

All I get is the proof album with my package (the 3 hr one) so I'm sure that is why I'm getting mine so quicker as it probably is similar to the one you are getting with your proofs. the isola is a great place, but remember you can't have amplified music till after epcot empties out, my backup was the rotunda incase of weather, but i now wish i did what you are doing cocktail hr and illuminations then inside for reception, so we could have music earlier, plus the rotunda has air conditioning:yay: , and even in feb when its normally cool here it was very humid out and with the dress it makes it warmer, we thought by getting married in beginning of feb (usually only cool in florida end of jan begin of feb) it would be nice and cool:confused3 , but after living in florida for 31 yrs i should know the weather changes here hour to hour.

hope your sitting down, it was $265 deposit that included them picking it up fr disney, after we got back fr honeymoon i sent a wedding program, a napkin w/our names fr reception, and the just married disney pin. i wanted all this included w/my bouquet. i set up my phone design meeting, i wanted a shadowbox, (alittle more) its going to be 12x16 it cost in the end another $435 they throw in some free upgrades for disney brides, check out there website they have lots of diffferent options and prices, this was kinda my gift fr my dh because it was something his mom said she was so glad she had hers done, and i really liked the idea of having something to hang forever to remember the day!

we did the 6 hr w/ 1 dvd, they actually showed up during picts at gran floridian, to start filming and were there till end of reception, but they were never in your face i really never knew they were there, but they caught everything, the video was about 1.5 hr, we had a montage, a prelude of guests arriving and guys in the groom room, girls in bride room, the whole ceremony, and alot of the reception not just the key points like cake cutting, garter, dollar dancee, toasts, first dance but even just everyone dancing, a look at the food, so much, it was really worth i can't believe how much we didn't see or remember of the wedding day, so it was great to see it all.

Randy rocks!! :worship: We used that memory book for our engagement photos (both pics from Randy and from Disney photopass), and it was great!!

One thing I did find though...most of the pages are ok to see writing on. The one with the light blue Tink page has white font on the light blue background, so it's almost impossible to read. Just thought I'd pass that on!

hope your sitting down, it was $265 deposit that included them picking it up fr disney, after we got back fr honeymoon i sent a wedding program, a napkin w/our names fr reception, and the just married disney pin. i wanted all this included w/my bouquet. i set up my phone design meeting, i wanted a shadowbox, (alittle more) its going to be 12x16 it cost in the end another $435 they throw in some free upgrades for disney brides, check out there website they have lots of diffferent options and prices, this was kinda my gift fr my dh because it was something his mom said she was so glad she had hers done, and i really liked the idea of having something to hang forever to remember the day!
that also includes the prices to ship it to you when its done via ups.

OH QUICK UPDATE!

I did do the photopass photo album it came out very good! i included some of our old trips to disney then the wedding you can upload your own picts (i scanned alot of old photopass picts i had) they have lots of different page layouts too!! it was $70.00 for 20 pages and they are printed like a book style pict (flushmount i think)! it came out cute I am now doing one for my MIL to incluse the whole weekend pre wedding stuff, and wedding i will probably be adding a few more pages though!
but it came in a leather album with our names printed in silver foil on it!!!

The book also came out wonderful. I am deciding between a Disney book and a Blurb Book - I love that you can use Disney backgrounds in the Disney book. It is a little more expensive but love Tink on the cover also.

I CALLED THEM ABOUT A MONTH BEFORE THE WEDDING, I don't think it maters when as long as you do before so they can pick up your flowers after wedding and put your deposit down! the rest is due when you do your planning session on the phone with them i did min like a month after the wedding!

well I just did another photo book fr disney photopass:cool1: !!! I did one of the whole wedding weekend fr start to end with lots of wedding picts! I did this for a gift for my MIL!! I added more pages to it, it normally comes with 20 I think I finished at 27 pages so as soon as it ships I will try to get picks on here!!! They really are not that bad priced and make great gifts!!! I love the fact that they have soo many different disney backgrounds to choose from!!:yay:
