To the Churchill and Stringer clan, have a lovely trip and I can't wait for the kevsters trip report with Matts photos to accompany it.:thumbsup2
Looks like it will have to be the 23rd I'm afraid chilly,:scared:
So who is coming and exactly how many are there in your party?
Has anyone got a favourite place to eat in Thrope Park????
Just me and DW from here, if the kids do come they will clear off on their own for the day anyway.

I can give you an exclusive sneak preview of sad report now:
Day1. Got up, had breakfast. Went to a bar and enjoyed some drinks and lunch, had a wander around in the sun, had some more drinks and dinner, went to bed.
Day2. Got up, had breakfast. Went to a bar and enjoyed some drinks and lunch, had a wander around in the sun, had some more drinks and dinner, went to bed.
Day3..Got up, had breakfast. Went to a bar and enjoyed some drinks and lunch, had a wander around in the sun, had some more drinks and dinner, went to bed.
Day4. Got up, had breakfast. Went to a bar and enjoyed some drinks and lunch, had a wander around in the sun, had some more drinks and dinner, went to bed.
Day5. Got up, had breakfast. Went to a bar and enjoyed some drinks and lunch, had a wander around in the sun, had some more drinks and dinner, went to bed.
Day6. Got up, had breakfast. Went to a bar and enjoyed some drinks and lunch, had a wander around in the sun, had some more drinks and dinner, went to bed.
Day7. Got up, had breakfast. Went to a bar and enjoyed some drinks and lunch, got on plane, had some drinks and dinner - flew home.
There is a chance we'll alter the sequence of events, so Day 3 may become day 5, but I'm sure you get the picture:thumbsup2

A fair representation of what a trip report might look like Matt, unfortunately I won't be writing one for our St Lucia trip. I'm taking a break.
Just one slight adjustment to the plans - you missed out a round of golf.

Well, I probably won't be able to join you since I think my sisters are coming back for easter and I should be at home even though meeting up with you guys would have been cool. I've got an annual pass so it wouldn't have cost me anything either.
However this, I will say that Thorpe Park really doesn't have mnay if any great places to eat. Its either KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut Buffet, and a few places serving Chilli, Hot Dogs and Fish & Chips.
Probably the best place for food is pizza hut but if there's people joining in and leaving at different times then probably not the best place. Sorry, I'm probably not much help.

I went to Thorpe Park yesterday and came across another place to eat/meet. It's a barbeque place near the Carrousel at the entrance to Canada Creek. It does good food and allows people to come and go as they wish. Mind you, no idea how busy it will be compared to Pizza Hut or anywhere else.
TP also seems to be putting on a stunt show or two, which sounds better than previous shows including Jet Skis, Skateboarding, BMXing, etc. I don't know of what use that is if no one's interested in that kinda thing.
I also want to ask, if this is not too cheeky, since I will most likely coming by myself (Mum usually gives me a lift and then goes shopping in Staines, a nice treat by her standards) is there anyone who wouldn't mind if I tag along with them. I usually tend to go on most rides and after yesterdays experience, waiting alone for Colossus for 1 1/2 hours gets a tad boring. I'll also add that because I've been so many times, I pretty much know the park like the back of my hand.
TIA

Hi Charlotte
You are welcome to tag along with DW and me but i'd suppect you'd sooner go with Joh's DD's.
Whichever, you are more than welcome to come along.

Charlotte, as far as I know there are only 11 of us going anyway (unless Tony knows different) - me and my lot, Tony and Theresa and Natalie and her clan. I thought we would probably be pretty much sticking together and you are more than welcome to stick with us (as long as you can put up with the kids ;) )

Oh OK, wasn't sure on the numbers. I presume I'd get along with the older kids since I think I'll be around the same age probably slightly older. As said, I think I know enough about the park to be a reasonable guide, as long as I don't have to go on the extremely scary rides like Slammer and Stealth.

We are meeting Tony, Theresa and co in the car park at 9.30. If you like I can PM you my mobile number and you can give us a ring when you get there and we'll tell you where we are. Or we can meet you at the entrance - all depends what time you're going to be there :confused3

Well, I now have my transport sorted. I think it's probably best if I meet you guys at the Entrance/car park at 9.30pm. I'll PM you my mobile after I get my dinner.
I think with light showers and a minimum of 6 C, I don't think I'll be going on any water rides, but thats not a major loss to my day. I'd be happy if I got on Colossus and Nemesis.

My days been cancelled, my mum decided that I couldn't come by myself and because I haven't actually met any of you before (except from on the boards), I needed someone with me, however no-one wants to go and they don't want me to go either with the possible onslaught of havier showers and/or snow. So now, you will have to count me out. I would have loved to come and meet you all, but it cannot be, even though I'd been planning on going for a month!
I'll let you know if my situation changes, but I severly doubt it.

Even though I charged the battries the night before, they died very quickly in the cold weather. Hopefully Joh and Nat will be able to post a few more.
We gave up not long after lunch as the snow was coming down pretty fast and it wasn't much fun any more. We all headed back to ours and defrosted over a few hot drinks.
