View Full Version : What's Up With The 400 Loop?

Did I miss this discussion? This is from a thread on rv.net.
My parents are down at FW now. They saw construction folks surveying in the 400 loop. My father asked at the office what was up. They told him they are making the sites in that loop much larger (like 100 feet long by 30 feet wide) and providing 100 amps for all-electric coaches. Does not sound like they will have pull-throughs, but much larger sites that will be both easier to back into and provide plenty of room for folks to park their toads/TV's (every time I've been there I've had to ask the folks across the way to move their vehicle so I could get in or out).
My father was told that the new 400 loop should be ready at the end of this year. Good news for those of us trying to back these big-rigs into tiny spots made for a 1970's pop-ups.

Maybe these are going to be the "premium" sites we all joked about!! I only hope they come with

A while back we had a thread talking about how tight some of the sites in this loop are. I guess this would be a good place to start with some upgrading!!!

We've talked about this on and off for awhile now. Last September I was told by a customer service manager that they were adding premium sites which would accomodate bigger rigs. There was no mention of where in the campground or when it would happen.
Other people have reported similiar conversations.
It's one of those wait and see kind of things...just like the pool rehab. There are rumors of course, and occasional CM's that fuel the fire. But I am not believing anything until someone here see's it.

I will be there in 2 weeks, I will flip out my newly printed RvUsa.Org business card, (the ink is still wet from the inkjet prinkter :rotfl2:) and find the manager and find out the real scoop on all things FTW.
Start giving me questions to ask, and I will find the real story!!!:lmao:

It would be interesting to know if the larger premium sites are only going to be in the 400 loop or if there are going to be some more scattered throughout the other loops. Guess they will probably have to put some in a pet loop????

find out where the clothing optional pool
is.
That is one piece of information that no one will every give me, because they think there might be a possibility that I would disrobe. :scared1:

Please ask if they would put some type of refill station at the end of each loop. I'm getting really tired of driving my cart down to the marina to get the stink eye from the people in TE because I am using my "mug for life"!
Tell them they could put a bar code sticker on them like Blizzard Beach. Anything is better than explaining to the cast member that I am still alive and still going to use that mug.:rolleyes1

You know, I have been to the fort a couple of times, all before the dis, and I never knew about the mugs.... I am gonna give them a try when I get there. I am always up before the rest, but I don't like coffee.... didn't someone say you can get pop and hot chocolate?

My problem with the mugs is that I have it empty before I leave TE. So I just bring my own drinks and haul a bag cooler.

400 loop would definitely be a great place to start with these premium loops, it gets rather tight in there.

The pool at WL is designated as a suits optional pool early in the morning (between the hours of 5 and 7 am). I have skinny dipped there during these hours every trip. A FW bus driver told me about this. If you bring your Frankensoap they have a neat outdoor bathtub there, too.
