San Diego Zoo/USS Midway in 1 day?

Would it be possible to visit both of these in just one day? :confused:

We intend to be at the zoo for opening and would stay til mid-afternoon.

What would be the best way to travel between these locations?

It is possible but don't forget the Midway closes at 5PM and at 4PM they stop letting people in. So you would want to leave the zoo by at least 2:30 or so to allow yourself enough time to travel and view the Midway.

Personally, i think the zoo is a day itself.. it's huge.

not if you want to enjoy the entire zoo at something less than a dead run. It really is an all day thing. I could spend an hour watching Clyde and Violet, not to mention the Polar Bears at the top of the hill, especially when the brothers are out and they are playing.
