Boy I've been neglecting my PJ!!!! I am so excited that we leave in two weeks for our trip!!!! I cannot believe it's finally almost hear (and I know I've said that numerous times, but each time it's closer, I just get more excited)! Ok, minor updates. Got hubby his shoes for the VR (sandal type shoes) and he got some new sneaks for our trip. I got a cute pair of sandal type pumps (low ones) that will dress up a few things. I booked our photoshoot at the Poly (and for the life of me at the moment, I dont' recall when!!!!) Better look for that paper.

Printed off my address labels to mail some post cards from Castaway Cay and some return address labels that I've been told we'll need for disembarking.

I guess that's it for now. I'll try to get back sooner with more info.

You are going to love doing pictures at the Poly! It is such a cool place because it gives you so many different places to take your picutre. If you remember DF and I had our engagement pics there and everytime we showed somone the pictures they would ask "where are all the places you had them done?" and we would tell them only at the Poly. They couldn't believe how many different types of backdrops you can do for your pictures!

Yes, we got our new cards, have them activated and haven't had any other problems. I had all my rewards points put onto my rewards card for our trip, so we are in good shape. True, as much as I'd hate to have this happen, yes it was good timing.

I so wanted to do something, I have the new and I have the borrowed (actually two of them) and I guess for the old (it's us, hahaha, ok, so something real, our original wedding bands, they are 25 years old and still going strong) so I HAS to figure out what blue I could do. I remember seeing these personalized labels months ago and thinking what a cute idea, but that's as far as I got, then bam, it's less than a month and I had nothing blue. I really like my label and can't wait to sew it into my dress.

It is a room with a sauna, steam rooms, shower and heated tile chairs..you don't need to "book" it as it is a come-and-go type thing..it is $15 a day or $40 for a 4 day I think..something like that. We got a free pass from Guest Services because there was a smell one afternoon from our bathroom..we only smelled it once but they sent us the pass as a "we are sorry"

Got a call yesterday from my seamstress and she's done iwth my dress!!!! I am so excited and relieved. I cannot beleive how stressed I was over that. I"ll be picking it up tomorrow after work!!!! WOOHOO, one day til I see my dress again!!!

I laminated all my door signs and put magnets on everything last night! Got to go over the many MANY things to take lists and start making sure I have all that stuff!

Congrats on your upcoming VR. It is going to be so magical that you'll be talking about it for years... I did not know about the disboard when we were planning our VR but I love reading about everyone elses.
I am so excited for the birth of your grand-daughter. I must say that it is the most rewarding experience life has to offer, after the birth of your own children of course. Our grand-daughter is now 6 months old and we are loving every moment that we spend with her...she has so much Disney clothing and stuff already...
I will be praying that the weather is good for you next week at the port and all through your cruise.
BTW-the rainforest spa is awesome...so relaxing...but if you really want some alone time try the razul spa treatment. We did and it was a 'wow factor'!

I cannot believe all this waiting has paid off. We leave next Saturday!!! Only three more work days (after today), yea for holidays!!!! I cannot wait. I picked up my dress. It feels so much better, but STUPID me got make up on the front. I am going to take it to the cleaners to see if they can take care of that right away. Also my seamstress is a smoker (and I knew this, but was NOT thinking when I asked her to do my alterations). My dress has a slight smell (it's been in the bag the entire time), so it may be the bag that smells. I have it hanging in my daughters room (outside of the bag). I'll see if that helps, but hoping if I take it to the cleaners, they can take care of that too.

BUT!!!! I HAVE MY DRESS!!!!! And there is no holes or tears or pulls (like in my dream!!!!! So that's a big thing!

um..i don't want to stress you out, but a few years ago, DCL stopped allowing you to build up a credit..they refunded it to you

I use to pay extra so I had a cushion when I got onboard but some law about them holding money and not giving interest made them stop...

um..i don't want to stress you out, but a few years ago, DCL stopped allowing you to build up a credit..they refunded it to you

I use to pay extra so I had a cushion when I got onboard but some law about them holding money and not giving interest made them stop...


Well being that haven't seemed to refunded any of my deposits to them, I am not worried about losing interest as I'd have spent it if it were in the bank, lol, bad I know! I wanted to make sure I had enough for our photos from the VR and for some from shutters. We had enough OBC for the excursions and extra Palo that we booked, so hopefully there is no problem.

Well now that hubby has posted here and blown you all away, just had to share!!!! He gets up every morning at 3:30 (Sundays at 2:15, I think) to deliver papers!!!! EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK! This was supposed to be a short term thing but when we booked the cruise, it's helping to pay off other things. So, as Friday's go, the papers were REALLY late AGAIN!!!! Hubby is usually home by 5:45 or so. Today I left to go run at 6:30 and he wasn't home. (the late paperson Friday are becoming a recurring problem). Normally he's home and gets to go back to bed for a bit before he goes to work. Well needless to say, he didn't get much sleep this am when he did finally get back. So I had sent him an email about only 7 more days of delivering papers before we leave!!!

This was his response:
Today is day 246 of delivering papers to help pay for this cruise. I'll try to survive 7 more.

I asked how could he know that??? Has he been counting down from the very beginning of this adventure???? :confused3

He said I'm not telling :lovestruc I love that he's been doing this all this time without complaining about my crazy idea of renewing our vows, doing the cruise, doing the land, all of this trip!!!! I really do have an amazing hubby!

Ok, I took my dress to the cleaners this evening. It won't be ready to pick up until 7am on Thursday!!!! :scared1: Yea, I'm freaking a little. They did say if it could be done before then, they'll call me. I haven't sewn my label in it yet (and I have to for my something blue). But hopefully when I get it back, it will not smell like smoke, nor will it have my lovely make up on it (they marked the area), so hopefully it will look new again.

Ok, I made a decision yesterday! (yea, I can actuallay still do that, I haven't lost my mind completely yet). I had bought dermablend to cover my tattoos for the vow renewal. I love my tats, but honestly, my parents, in-laws, etc don't even know I have them, lol. Well I figured I better see how this dermablend works before next week. I put it on. A little hard to do when the tat is on my upper back (shoulder areas). It didn't really cover like I had expected and honestly i think it looked worse than just seeing the tat. So all that said (and it rubbed off on my bra strap, so I can imagine what my gown strap would look like)!!! So, no dermablend (good thing the girl told me I could bring it back anyway), I am taking it back to Ulta!

I did good today.... took back my dermablend, got $25 back on my card, took back a strapless backless bra (stick on thing) to target (wasn't what i thought it would be) so got $16 back (turned around and spent that on pants and shirt for hubby; then went to beb bath and beyond with a coupon for what 20% off the travel bags I bought the other night (so got $4 back)!!!! Wooohoo and did all that on one trip, so no wasted gas!

JUst wanted to let everyone know I got a text from Patty that they got their first bit of pixie dust! They were upgraded to first class for their flight down. Hopefully, that means their flight got off the ground in Philly on time. I will keep everyone posted as I hear from her. Thanks for all the wishes for pixie dust and good weather. Just checking in from the hotel. We've had a beautiful day so far. The sun has been shining (it's typical Florida HOT) but no rain!!!!! We were so excited to get upgraded to first class. I'll be sure to post all about it when we get home. Looking at the NOAA site right now, looks like Ike might miss us all together!!!! WOOHOO!!! Oh an another little pixie dust. We are taking a shuttle from the Radisson to the port in the am. There are other disers here who we've become friends with and they were all on the 10am shuttle. When I made our reservations there were no spots left on that shuttle so we were on the 10:30 one. We just checked at the desk to make sure we were on the list and there is an opening on the 10am shuttle now!!!!

I don't remember which park Patty & Dale will be in on Saturday. I know they have their photo shoot at the Poly at 6:30 Saturday, IIRC. I won't be at EPCOT. We are doing Park Faire for breakfast, then shopping at DTD for VR stuff, lounging around at POP for most of the day, and then my last visit (and my friend's first visit) to Adventurers' Club Saturday night (so glad we are doing this since it is closing in a couple weeks). I am also hoping to hook up with Joanne (JoJo) at some point Saturday.

Betsy, I KNEW you'd say that!!!! We had an amazing photographer. I took your advise and asked for an experienced one. She was awesome. When we went to view our pics she had already blown up several to 8x10's and they had those amazing frames around them. We could choose any of the pics we wanted and I am sure she probably took more than 200 pics, I can't imagine how many we went through. All others were 5x7's. The one black and white pic she had a different shot (we weren't as close to a kiss in it and I like this one) so I asked her to make the other one like that and no problem!

Heather, as my hubby kept saying we got 'dusted'. I told him when we got upgraded to first class on our flight that we got 'pixie dusted' so that became his new word for anything good that happened! We got dusted he'd say, lol.
