Kelly,

I've seen some photos of similar shirts for the cruise wedding and just didn't know how to search. I love to shop online, but looks like this will be an easy style to find even in the local store (just have to stop by, lol).

Thanks again. Now, I'm thinking, should I get him a dark shirt and lighter khakis? My dress is ivory, but it's so close to white that I think I need to get him a color that isn't close at all. I like that dark blue one and the black, heck, i like the green one also, :rotfl:

Oh, well, I'll have to go shopping (oh maybe I'll buy him his 'outfit' for Father's day, lol). I'll just tell him he can't wear it til September, lol. I am so bad!
:rotfl:

I am not sure what to tell you colorwise. Maybe someone will have a good idea for you. I will try to look and see if I can find something on a website for Caribbean resorts that do weddings. Maybe they will have some wedding pictures or something to give you an idea.

It took some looking back through my paypal account to remember where I got this but I love the selection and their prices were great and shipment came quickly.

Thanks so much!!! We are so excited (:cool1: ) As for checking out other resort sites, good idea. I'll have to get looking, but if you come across any in your 'travels' let me know. Thanks for you help.

Oh Cam, you aren't helping, lol :lmao: That's the problem, I am not sure, it's so odd to see him without it (he's only shaved it once before and I don't remember how long he kept it that way). I think he looks younger without it (as several have said). I told him, I couldn't decide so I was goign to take a poll (and here it is, lol).

You ladies aren't helping me very much, lol, it's 50/50 right now!!! I guess I'm so use to it, that it's taking a little while to get use to it not being there. I don't want him to look too young (compared to me, lol, jk).

I tried to swing the vote one way or the other but it is still 10/10. I voted leave it off. He does look younger. But he looked nice the other way as well.
It's hard to get used to someone without facial hair. When my oldest was about 4 my dad decided to shave his beard off. She freaked out. She wouldn't come around him or look at him or let him talk to her. She would just hide. He grew it back .:rotfl:
He shaved it off permanently about 3 years ago. I have to admit it took me awhile to get used him without a beard myself.:)

Kelly,

When I met hubby he had a beard and mustache. After a while, I was kind of scared for him to shave it off... what if I didn't like what he looked like without it??? :confused3 When our first born (son) was almost a year, he was taking a nap and hubby decided to shave the beard (not the mustache). When DS woke up from his nap, he didn't know hubby at first. I actually have photos of him looking at his daddy with this questioning look. It was so cute. Then he realizes and hugs him, lol.

At that point, I told him to never grow the beard back, he looked much better without it. The mustache though, I've gone back and forth on. I told him it was a split vote (last night) and that I kind of think he should grow it back. He says 'I got use to shaving again and kind of like it off'!!!! lol, so who knows what will happen, but I'll keep you all posted.

I am sure I mentioned Abbey our pug before, but just wanted to update. Abbey developed diabetes in January. In late April, early May she went blind (very quick). We had her at the vet for ear infections a short time later and hubby asked about her eyes and could anything be done? Well we went to see a specialist (eye's for animals) and our baby has cataracts in both eyes. She is going to have surgery for them on Tuesday am (I am out of town until Sunday night). I am excited that my hubby loves our 'baby' so much to do this. I never would have looked into this knowing that it is ver expensive, but he said we HAVE to, it's our baby. When we left the vet, hubby said, good thing we already have our vow renewal and cruise/land trip all planned and booked, otherwise we wouldn't be going! I'll update you after she has her surgery to let you know if my baby can see my face again! I am so glad my husband loves our 'baby' as much as I do. Our kids are pretty much grown (youngest is now a senior) and she has become our fuzzy daughter!

Kelly,

Thanks for checking in. Abbey has been adjusting well. She is making out ok on the steps. She still get a bit disoriented at times though. Tomorrow, my hubby has to start her on meds four times a day and I am not there to help, so I know he'll be struggling (he works 12 hours on friday!).

I am glad Abbey is adjusting well. I suppose it is difficult to not be able to see one day and then you can the next. That's a good difficulty though. :) I hope all is going well with her meds. I know it's not easy giving a dog any sort of medicine. Although mine doesn't do too badly. She's never had to have any for an extended length of time though. Dogs seem to know that you are trying to help.

I saw a show on the Travel Channel today that was all about the Disney Cruiseline. You are going to have such a good time. :cool1: I want to take the girls on one really badly. Maybe we'll have to go next year instead of the free dining. Free dining is such a good (cheap) deal though. Its hard to resist.:)

Take Care!

Abbey had her surgery yesterday and I get to pick her up this afternoon. I cannot wait for her to be able to see me again. She knows she is loved, but it had to be scary to see nothing all of a sudden. the doc said her eyesight should improve over the next few weeks, so she won't be running any races today he said, but in a few weeks! (not that abbey runs any races, she's a pug, she can't breathe when she runs, lol).

On the exercise note, it's one more full week of training for the 5k. I ran for 28 minutes monday and today, did 5 minute warm up and 5 minute cool down. Total was around 2.75 so I am almost there!!!!

I apologize. I thought Abbey already had her surgery when I wrote this. I thought she was taking eye drops for her eyes after the surgery and then probably her eyes were already getting better. I guess I need to pay better attention when I am reading. I am always missing important details.:confused3

For a couple of months, my DH had to shave his. For some reason there was a spot that didn't grow right. It was bare in that spot. :confused3 So, he started shaving and we didn't know if that would help. After awhile, he tried to grow it again and it grew back perfectly. :goodvibes It just confirmed for me that I like mustaches. My dad always had one too :)

I have went with the leave it off option, he looks so much younger without it and it means you get to see more of his handsome face;)

I know what you mean though Steven has a sort of goatee and he shaved it off for a change and I just didn't like it. It's weird as when we got together he was always clean shaven, but I am so used to seeing him with facial hair though. Mind you it is very short, not a full blown mustache!

Thanks Cam! That is actually her harness (it's called a puppia) and it's very soft. Her regular harness seemed to 'rub' her fur away at times, and it wasn't tight, just the constant rubbing in the same area. This one is so cute on her (and I have a matching leash, lol). Abbey goes for her 1st (of many) rechecks next Tuesday so we'll see what they say, but we know she can see more, she's not walking into things and not getting disoriented (lost) in the room. I've always grown up around beagles (my grandpa raised them) but we're thinking about getting a bassett. I worked at a dog obedience school in college, so I got to come in contact with all types of fantastic breeds. I probably would get another beagle except my mom's dog (who loves Kris and I to death) hates her own kind and she comes to spend the night at our house a lot! It's so funny, she loves all other kinds of dogs except other beagles!

Well, I am doing my first official 5k this week (Thursday evening) and another one on Sunday am! I ran 3.19 miles this am on the threadmill, so I can do this, but outside will be harder I know, so I may have to walk some, but that is ok, cause nine weeks ago I thought I would die doing 30 seconds of running, so this is a BIG improvement!

I bought hubby's outfit for our vow renewal this past week. I need to get him to try it on so I can take a pic and post it here. Very lightweight pants and a tropical looking shirt. I think the colors will look really good on him (tan, gray, white, not 'tropical - brights', lol).

Well I better get back to work (got a raise last week, woohoo, so I need to actually earn it some times, lol).

I'll post more as soon as I get the photo. (oh of course now hubby is growing his mustache back, you all vote to leave it off, lol). we'll see.

Does anyone know how to 'take the poll off' my page? couldn't find info on that.

Jennifer, I hate to say it, but it's from Walmart, lol. I was waiting an HOUR for my doggies prescription the other day and started looking. They are really nice light weight dress pants (and not a yucky material, lol). Cheryl,

Abbey is doing great, we are so happy with her progress. I am hoping that I'll do ok tonight in the 5k, I've NEVER run before this spring but I've done the couch to 5k training thing and it's made it so 'doable' I can't wait, even if I don't run the entire thing, just completing it will be a big accomplishment for me.

That was my thought with hubby's shirt. I wanted something casual that he'd be comfy in that would still look nice with my dress.

DH's outfit looks great!

Thanks so much.

Ok, this is completely :offtopic: but I had to share. My daughter, Aubre was a competitive gymnast (until her back could not handle it). She competed during high school and then started working as in instructor for a while. She was selected as a volunteer to help setup and take down the equipment for the Olympic trials for gymnastics this week in Philadelphia!

That was enough for her, she loves to be anywhere near gymnatics stuff. Well, she ended up helping the 'right person' and as it turns out, she is now his 'side-kick' and has been given a full acess MATT pass for the week!!!! She'll be sitting on the side while her favorite sport is going on just feet away (well a lot of feet if on the other side, lol). She's in her glory! And I'm so happy for her. She's always wanted to go volunteer to work the olympics so this is the closest she may get.

Sorry, just had to share! :goodvibes

Well we FINALLY put in our passport applications!!! WOOOOHOOO!!! It's been on the plans for a while, but to come up with $200 at one shot something more important took that place. We got our photos last week and just yesterday got to the post office!!! Now we just wait. I've read lately that it's not been long, only a couple weeks to get them. I hope so, just makes it seem more real.

I have had some MAJOR scale victories!!!!! :cool1: I have been over a certain weight on the scale for more than ten years and I am finally over that hump and the weight is slowly coming off. I hate to say, but I switched to working out every other day while my workout buddy was away and it seems to be making a difference. I'll see what I do when she gets back later today. But I can really finally 'see' a difference.

My sis and I took our father to brunch back on Father's day weekend and here's a pic of us.

(ok, I thought I posted this and it's not here) :confused3

Ok, I'll try to make this short. When we booked the cruise, we were NOT doing the land portion (due to money). Then hubby decided that we should. AFter checking flights and all, it would cost us another $150 to fly home on southwest (we already had tickets to come home on the 11th via air tran, but they would charge us $150 to change plus any increase). So we booked with southwest and thought we'll just eat the difference.

This week, I get an email from airtran. They changed the time for our return flight (the one we were not goign to be using) from 7pm to 8:30 AM!!!!! Well you can't make an 8:30 am flight from the cruise port, so I called and they let me cancel my flight!!!! WOOO HOOO!!!! I had the option to cancel just that part of it and keep the flight down, but it was costing me $200 to keep the flight down so I cancelled both, knowing i could book with southwest for less than that (without a ding). So I am looking online today and find a US (scareways as we call them) for $149! (this is for both of us)!!!! I am getting a refund from airtran of $358 and paying $149 for my new tics! I'm so excited. Now if i could only convince hubby to let me use that $200 towards a photoshoot with Randy Chapman, I'd be all set!

I think hubby wants to take another cruise. It's just a matter of when. We promised the girls that we would take them the next time we go. I just don't know when. We are already taking them out of school for 5 days this fall for WDW. I don't think we better take them out anymore than that. Oh wait, I think i forgot to post my latest bad dream here, lol. I've told a few people, so I thought I posted, but NO, forgot all together... ok, a couple nights ago, I have this lovely dream.

You have to take a little boat from the ship to CC and for some reason my VR was there (even though its not). I had to get dressed there, not on the ship. I had my dress with me but it disappeared on CC. Then the cake wasn't together, and by not together, I mean it was like little petit fours they were going to PUT TOGETHER to make my cake!!!!! I was like NO way. Nothing was right. Oh, wait to top it off, hubby wasn't there. Not sure what happened to him? And I was really mad cause there was no photographer to take our photo when we got to the ship and they didn't announce us like I've read so much about when you board the ship!!!!

Needless to say, I think I've got some stress issues going on making me dream like this!

I think it is going to be fine. If it comes in on the 21st that should give you plenty of time to get it altered if it is too big.

I know it is nerve racking to prepare for something like this but it will all be fine. If there is a little snafu it will just give you a funny story for years later.

Patricia;

One of my patients has all these superstions; won't put her pocketbook on the floor because it brings bad luck....stuff like that. Anyway, last night I had this strange dream that across the street from my house, there were two wedding parties getting their pictures taken because there were these beautiful gardens. I dreamt I lived in the south with this huge house with a wrap-a-round porch. So I was telling Sara this, and she says dreaming of weddings is a sign of someone dieing :scared1: . So I said what are you talking about!!!!!!!!! I told her not to tell me that stuff anymore!! :)

Oh my goodness Cheryl, I wouldn't want to know something like that either. Fortunately, I am not superstitious of I'd call this entire thing off. I've had so many bizzare dreams that anything can go wrong. Honestly, I guess deep down, I must be worried and I've heard again and again, how to not worry with DCL it's all taken care of.

Well I had to make a decision that I didn't want to make, but I cancelled our sitting with Randy that I was going to have at the Poly. I really love his work and would love to do that, but it was time to act mature and realize that hubby's job is in jeaopardy and I need to not waste MORE money on MORE photos. We will have some great ones (hopefully) from the ceremony on board and the ship. We will also do a photo pass shoot at the Poly (i think that's the one I want to do).

I got my refund back from Airtran and I started buying some little items for our cruise. I am 'trying' to make paperbag scrapbooks for our other Dismates that we'll be meeting up with on the ship (and doing the FE exchange with).

OOOOOHHHHHH!!!! Guess what!!!????

I also got some dermablend which was suggested as something to cover my tats for our vow renewal. I really want my photos to look classy so I think I'll cover them. I was really surprised that the gal at Ulta told me to hold on to my receipt and return it afterwards since I am only using it one time, lol. I couldn't believe that!!!

So hopefully I'll try on my dress iwth the undergarments tonight and the jewlery so I can pick which to wear. I'll post a link cause hubby said he would NOT click on a link. He doesn't want to ruin the surprise of waiting all this time.

I know I'm not on this site as much as I would like to be, planning this move to Canada is taking a lot more time than I would like.

But I just wanted to drop in and Congratulate you first on your grandaughter to be:hug: I am sure you are going to spoil her rotten, but I also wanted to say that I think you look beautiful in your wedding dress and your husband is going to be speechless when he sees you.

You have always been an avid reader of my TR and I really appreciate you reading along, even after a year, you still pop in. I may not have commented much on your PJ but I really hope you do a TR, I would love to read it:hug:

You are so close to the big day and I will be sure to pop in again nearer the time. I am sending Tinkerbell your way in advance though as I want you to get as much pixie dust from her as we did:tink:

Hugs to you Patrica:hug:

Summer,

You are so sweet. I have loved reading along in your PJ/TR and LOVE to look at your pics and even watched part of your video again. It's just so precious. Can't wait til you get some time to settle down and finish. I know you have a lot going on, but keep stopping in to let us know how you are doing. I am hoping we'll see some :tink: pixie dust on our trip. But just getting away, the two of us, will be :wizard: magical!

Laura,

I know, lovely faces, huh, :rotfl: I said to hubby, hurry up and put these on and let me take a pic, now take one of me, lol. I NEVER want my pic taken, so you can see my lovely expression. First, he has NO IDEA how to use my camera, so I had to give instructions first. Really I am sure we will wear these proudly. He seemed to like his and I like how comfy mine is.

Well Saturday evening I get a call from a recorded message from Chase asking to confirm or deny some recent activity on our Disney Visa! Well I did NOT nor did anyone in my family try to purchase $145 and change from a cosmetic company and have the items shipped overseas so it was denied. I was glad they had called, but was left on hold forever and then basically told that someone would call me back, or I could call back this certain number with any questions. Well the evening went on and no one called, so I called the number and the first thing it asked for was my full account number!!!! So needless to say, NO way was I putting that in and red flags were going off. Hubby was sure it was a hoax! On Sunday when we still had not heard back, we called the number on the back of our Disney Visa and guess what!!??? It was legitimate. They said, 'Thank you for returning our call!!!!!' So needless to say, someone got our numbers (I guess we were one of the 40 million stolen a week or so ago). As soon as I confirmed that I did not authorize the purchase, BAM the account was closed!!! 'We will mail a new card out to you, you should have it in five business days' WAIT!!!! I have reward points I wanted to get off there this weekend!!!! I cannot access my account at all, it's gone!!!! I am hoping that when I get my new card in the next few days that I don't have any problem getting our points transferred!

Ok, enough for my rant. Oh, and I promise I'll get some better pics of us in our hats, lol!

We have had calls from Disney Visa regarding activity in the past...I was at a conference in Florida and used the card the samy time my husband was using it in RI....so they do call. We also had to call when we were booking our trip in Russia so that they would let the charge occur.

Hopefully this will be the last issue with yours!!

BTW...love the hats.

Cheryl,

it is good to know that they do keep an eye on things. I'd rather be safe than have them permitting all these charges. I've heard of telling them you are going out of the country so they realize it is you (in case they cant' reach you).

Pat, no fair, I can't see the pictures, is it just me?

Sorry to hear about your Visa problems, we have had our credit card hacked twice and more recently had our Amazon account hacked. There is nothing worse when they have to cancel it and reissue. Here's hoping it all gets sorted out quickly.

Sorry about your Visa!! Join the club!! I've had it happen 3 X!!!! Twice this year! It so sucks! And I also requested my rewards card for our trip in May, and never got it, but with all the other planning i had done, compeltely forgot about it. So i called Chase in July, after i orderd it in April. They sent me a new one and credited all the points back to it also! :thumbsup2

Tammy, I think the shoes looks so 'shiny' due to the flash. They are sequins on them and my dress has that silver beading under the bust area so I think they go good with it, but honestly you won't see them. I just wanted some height (you know the appearance of being 'taller' will make me look less wide, lol). I couldn't think of what to do for my blue and saw these labels a while ago. I JUST ordered that Sunday am and it came yesterday!!! I am impressed. It's a little bigger than I thought it would be, glad I ordered the 'smaller' one.

I love your shoes and the label is such a cool idea.

I am glad everything worked out with Chase. I hope you will get your rewards without any problems. I just checked our account to make sure nothing was wrong and it looks okay.

The account number from another credit card of ours was stolen several years ago. They called us to check on it after movie tickets were purchased in California. Luckily that was all the theives bought.

We are in the 20's now too! :cool1:

Jennifer, I sent you a pm with the info. We've had our Discover number stolen a few years ago and same thing, once they confirmed, it was cancelled and we got a new one (and they moved our 'points' over for that). I think I need to call though, I was hoping to have my card by today!

Summer,

Thanks, glad you could see them now. I am not sure why that happens but every once in a while some pics won't show up for me. I don't recall having something blue the first time we got married (oh wait, I think I had a garter, but with no band/no dancing) there was no taking it off and throwing it or the flowers. Three weeks today we'll be sitting aboard the Disney Wonder waiting to Sail Away!!!!
