Time for our Polynesian Par-Tay!
It was an excellent trip and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
We celebrated Jake’s Birthday and even though there weren’t any specific things for him, I think he had a great time!!
Let’s get this Par-Tay started old school, yo! (Yeah, I don’t know what that means, but it sounds cool.)
PS. If you need some background, please see our previous trip reports listed in my signature. Thank you. (That sounded like a public service announcement! BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP)

Day one
One the Road Again!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6408.jpg
Isn’t this the sweetest sight you ever saw?
Yep, she’s resting up for another Disney Trip!! As usual, the alarm sounds at 1:30 Am and by 2:15 we are on the road again!!
Just in case you thought we were traveling alone……
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC04148.jpg
That’s just a few of our friends!! We always buy more when we get there!!
After seven hours of podcasts and eighties music, we are pulling into Orlando for your first stop, Character Premier Outlet!! It’s been several trips since our last visit and we are planning to stock up!!
The whole mall has remodeled. Now it is an open air kind of thing which I really liked except for the fact it was freezing cold and drizzling! It looked much like our mall here in the Sandhills area.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02847.jpg
Just an aside here, it had great bathrooms. Even the soap was automated!! (yeah, it doesn’t take much to impress us!)
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02848.jpg
The store itself had great windows.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02854.jpg
After we heated up the Visa and made a few wrong turns, we were heading towards one of my favorite sights!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02857.jpg
And lucky us, we got to see this sight too!

Yep, our Polynesian Par-Tay has almost begun!!!

We were finally here!! The Polynesian!! I’ve dreamed of staying here since I was a little girl!!
We were just like big ole tourists, taking pictures of everything! We must have looked insane!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02860.jpg
Each of us was greeted in the lobby with a lei. Too cool!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02861.jpg
Soon we were checking in!! This is me having to prop myself up against the check-in counter after the 'Mouse' harvested one of my kidneys and pinkie toe as partial payment for the room
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02862.jpg
Our room was not ready, so we decided to explore our temporary home!!
The lobby was gorgeous with a beautiful waterfall right there.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6417.jpg
There were plenty of photo opportunities!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02863.jpg
Tikis were everywhere! Emily of course could not keep her finger to herself! You can pick your nose, you can pick you friends...but you can't pick your friend's nose!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6415.jpg
A quick walk to the pool and we could see Cinderella castle! It was cool, because you could also hear the Train whistle in MK in addition to the Ferry and boat horns
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC04157.jpg
This guy was so cute, I had to take his picture! Little did I know we’d be seeing him again…..
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC04162.jpg
It was a terribly dreary day, and we were getting hungry so we headed to Captain Cook’s to see what a deluxe food court looked like!!
There were touch screens where you could order your food by touching the picture. Then you would take your receipt to the cashier and get a beeper to know when your food was done. We all thought it was cool.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02864.jpg
We found a table and it wasn’t long until our food was ready!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6411.jpg
I had the Hawaiian flatbread. Yum! Outside of WDW I would call this a Ham and Pineapple Pizza
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02865.jpg
Chuck had the Pulled Pork sandwich with Polynesian chips. He was very pleased.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6410.jpg
Jake and Em went traditional with chicken fingers and a cheeseburger.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6413.jpg
Soon we were way too full, but our room wasn’t quite ready so we decided to head to Downtown Disney!
We didn’t take many pictures or buy much because it was crowded. We did get a picture with Em and her friends.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC04163.jpg
We were all hitting the wall by then and wishing for our room. Will it be ready? Will it be as cool as we’ve dreamed of? These and other burning questions will all be answered…….soon.

When we returned to the Polynesian, our room was ready!!
We were in Rarotonga right nest to the Great Ceremonial house. We were on the third floor and we had a balcony!! After one trip to the car for our luggage (yes, it only takes one trip. I’m an expert packer!) we were heading up to our room. And you know that silly guy on the side of the building I showed you earlier was right next door. We saw him every morning and he always made me smile.
Our room
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/emily020.jpg
The TV (already on my favorite channel!)
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/emily022.jpg
The daybed (Em’s spot)

Cool chair
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/emily026.jpg
Here’s our balcony.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/emily025.jpg
And our view! We could hear the music from the quiet pool and the torches were lit at night. Beautiful!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/emily024.jpg
I decorated our door for the occasion!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02872.jpg
We spent some time in our room and decided to have a quiet evening watching Wishes from the beach! I think this is one of the greatest perks of this resort!!
We were able to find some chairs on the beach. Em played in the sand. The water parade went by and we could hear the train from the Magic Kingdom. The ferry boats also blew their horns into the night. Everything was beautiful and peaceful. It was one of those great Disney moments that I call up in my mind sometimes and try to put myself back there.
I have to say, watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly is probably one of the coolest things we have done at WDW....no having to stake out a spot an hour before the show starts or having to defend your spot against moochers. Plus, not only are you not sitting on the curbing or having to stand up, you get to flop out in chairs to watch the show!!!! This alone (atleast for me!) makes the whole stay at the Polynesian worth it!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6500.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6485.jpg
When we returned to the room, our beds were turned down and there were chocolates on our pillows.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6520.jpg
It just made me sigh and think, “It’s so good to be back.”

:thumbsup2 I would love to stay at the Poly. I am trying to talk DH into it for our next trip, for the last few days, we'll see. Can't wait to read more.
:cloud9: Sitting on the beach and watching the fireworks must have been so neat! Love the pics and you are right, it does feel good to be home and that's exactly how Disney feels! pixiedust: The turn down service is such a nice benefit, is that a Deluxe perk? I dig those little touches! :woohoo:
The touch screens at the food court look positively grimy. Note to self, bring wipes. ;)

I am so excited to see that you decided to do a report for this trip. I really have enjoyed reading all of your other ones. When I discovered the DISboards last April, your TR was the first I read.
In September, we are going to be staying at the Poly for 13 days, and I can't wait! It looks so gorgeous. I can't wait to watch Wishes from the beach.

The turndown service was a deluxe perk. You can let them know at checkin that you'd like it. It's so sweet to come in after a long day and see your bed waiting for you!
I always have wipes in my pirate bag!!:) Missed that screen, though. Thanks for reading!!

Hello
I'm subscribing to your trippie. Poly is our favorite resort, we have stayed there the last 2 years and love it!. This last trip in October our stay was a bit less wonderful because of housekeeping. Anyway your room looks fantastic and you have to love the turndown service. Your pictures are great!!! Makes me wish we were staying there for my DD'S 8th Bday trip next month. It's only for a long weekend and it's a bonus trip to Disney so we booked a value resort, though I'm sure we will miss deluxe. Did you just love the Poly?? How did it compare to POFQ for you? We might try POFQ on and upcoming trip.
I have to ask where is this Disney Character Outlet? We are driving and it sounds like a good place to stock up on DIsney stuff. Love your kids stuffed toy collection, is that Bagheera from :confused3 Jungle Book? My DS always asks for him but I have never seen him:goodvibes . Waiting for more great Poly pics.

My friend! I'm glad you are here! We've stayed at both the Poly and AKL now, and I don't think I could pick a favorite. They are both unique experiences!
Wish bear is coming! I'm home sick today, so maybe I'll get to greet him personally!! Maybe I could talk chuck into a quickie trip to WDW just for him.....

Glad you like the pics! There will be plenty more! Jake even made some little videos with his camera. I just need to get his help to download them
You have got to do Wishes on the beach!! The music is piped in and it is so much better than fighting the crowd. ( I'll let you in on a little secret. They do it for the Pirate and Princess party, too. So even though we missed the party, we got to see the fireworks!! Whan I wrote about it, you can pretend to be surprised.)

Thanks for subscribing!! Sorry about your trouble with mousekeeping!
Which value did you choose? I forgot to look in your signature. We usually stay at the Pop when we do a value. Chuck loves it!!! It's like Disney 24/7.
Ok, I loved the Poly, but (and I know this is shocking) but I still love the POFQ best. The Poly felt like once in a lifetime, but POFQ feels like home. It is so quiet and peaceful. The boat to Downtown Disney is awesome and the staff is so sweet. At peak times, they have their own bus, and with fewer rooms, there are alot fewer people. The pool has a cool slide and they have a hot tub (No hot tub at the Poly, much to Chuck's disappointment). He has back troubles and it wonderful for him after a long day. Disapointed doesnt even begin to describe it!! I love me some hot-tub, and you would think that after harvesting most of my internal organs to pay for a delux, I was more than a little put out to find that a Deluxe doesn't have a hot tub....Oh, well life goes on...If that's the worse thing that I have to worry about, I aint doing soo bad!!
The outlet is off of I-4 in Orlando (Exit 74, I think, which is a left lane exit). Go down to the light and take a left. Go all the way down and you are there!! The Disney exits are in the 60's so it's about ten miles before you reach WDW. It's great. We got the mickey shirts you'll see us where the next day for $5 each! The Stitch shirt was $10. It's a great place to get TONS of souvenirs, to hand out to co-workers (so they think you are the most super cool person on earth!! of course I don't tell them I got it at the outlet).. I get most of my day to day (non work) wardrobe there. I was able to get a couple of Mickey Hawaiian shirts for $20/piece as opposed to the $52.00/piece we saw in the parks. BUT BE AWARE... go to the Character Premire Outlet Store off of I-4 and International drive- they are owned and operated by Disney. We ran out later on that night and stopped at 'another' outlet store near the Wal-Mart and it looked like somebodies flea market booth even though it called itself Premire Outlet ----it was not the same
That is indeed Bagheera and he is mine!! Jungle Book was released the year I was born so it has a special place in my heart! Chuck got him for me at the Disney store. Yep! I'm one heck of a guy!
Wow, what a reply!! Thanks for joining us. I should have more pics and video soon.

Thanks so much for the directions, We will be stopping there for sure. I'm going to see if I can find Bagheera at Disney store this weekend. Nice to hear you like POFQ more than Poly. We might be staying there next year since coming up with the $$$ for Poly will be stretching the budget too much. It's definately nice to have hot tubs after a day in the parks. We are staying at Pop this trip for DD'S birthday weekend.

This is Lynn's husband (the guy in the red from the posts above), and I have to agree that we love the FQ. For the price it can't be beat!! We have stayed at AKL, POP, POR, ASM, the Dolphin and SSR. And while the theming at AKL and Poly. are fantastic, we like the more relaxed, intimate feel of the FQ. (At half the price) Of course, last year we did toss our love of the FQ to the side when we were able to get AP rates for the SSR and got a one bed room suite (gotta love having a washer / dryer in the room - of course having a suite that was almost half the floor space of our own house may have influenced us just a little bit!!!

As you can see from the picture, it was another dreary day! It didn’t really rain, just kind of a heavy mist. Not a good hair day!! It was more like a cloud had settled to the ground and we were walking through it…in fact it was soo dense (and trust me, I know dense) that you could only see the bottom half of Spaceship Earth, which was kinda of cool. Especially if you tell newbies 9and little kids) that the reason they can’t see the top half of Se was because the imagineers took the top half off to install the new roller coaster.

We used our normal Family action plan, Jake goes to get Test Track fastpasses while Em visits with the characters. She’s not quite as crazy about character hunting as she used to be, but this is one she still enjoys! The characters are always great there, ready to play. Chuck tip here, I go to the Character meet first thing….let everyone else kill them selves to get to Soarin, we’ll grab the characters for a little one on one time before the crowds wear them down…we usually wind up being the first ones though the character meet and greet.

Next it was off to ride Nemo. Yet another ride that’s good to get to at the start of the day…while everyone else is riding soarin our visiting the first aid station from their battles at the FP machines…you can generally walk straight onto the ride…besides my favorite part is actually the que, and it’s better when no one else is around.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6555.jpg
I really like this ride, but I’m the only one. I like the theming in the queue. You go from the beach into the waves and deeper and deeper into the sea until you reach your clam mobile. Here’s a sign from the queue.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6556.jpg
Next is Journey into the Imagination! There was no line so we each got our own seat! in our own cars!!!! This happens a lot when we got first thing in the morning. And the really fun thing is you can sing as loud as you want and not worry about the other people. (Not that that stops us anyway!) I do enjoy going through with other folks though, being a people watcher (not the weird hide in the bushes type!), I like to watch peoples reactions to different segments of different attractions….you can always tell who has ridden Imagination before, because they are generally putting their fingers into their ears around the time Figament is saying “using your imagination can be a blast!!!”.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02880.jpg
Afterwards, we made a postcard to send home (another good thing to do early in the morning), but it was erased somehow!!!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02888.jpg

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6609.jpg
And thanks to Jake, we have a short video of our ride! Enjoy!!

We still had time before lunch, so we decided to head over to our favorite ride.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6615.jpg
There have been improvements made since our December trip. The movies at the end had more questions and were a little more finished. Now when they take your picture at the first off the ride, they put your face on the little characters in the end movie. That didn’t happen in December. Jake and Chuck rode together and here are some scenes from their movie.

Time for a trip around the world!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02899.jpg
In Mexico the line for the ride was too long (can you believe that?) So much for the myth that WDW is a virtual ghost town at that this time of year, but I digress, I’ll cover this later on so we went over to try and send another postcard. Over by the Kidcot stop, to the left is a kiosk where you can send a little movie or put yourself in a picture. I don’t know if many people know about it (there is never anyone there) so let’s just keep it between us , OK?

Chuck
The one bedroom suite sounds kind of good too. As of now we are going on a Disney cruise in October and going to Pop in 27 days, but next year we may be trying POFQ.
Loved the update and pics of Epcot. I agree taking the monorail to the parks is the best ;) .

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6659.jpg
Too bad I couldn’t take this friend with me!
Today we are dining at the Biergarten. All you can eat German food, oh yeah! She forgot to mention the beer…..got to love all that beer!!! We shared the table with a very nice family from Nevada. The mom was very allergic to a number of things, so when the server came, she asked if there was a list of what she could and could not eat. (I wish I could remember what she was allergic to.) The chef himself came to the table and took her personally around to the stations to talk with her about the food. And since there was nothing on the dessert bar that she could eat, he brought her some special things from the kitchen that he made! He was very nice and seemed genuinely excited to be able to help her.
The Biergarten has a German band that performs several times throughout the afternoon. Everybody Polka!!

Emily and I were a little overwhelmed by the noise, so we camped out in the ladies room. See when you see a guy do this, the first thing you want to do is call the law, cause something just ain’t right! (or as my hero Andy Taylor would say “something in this milk just ain’t white”) The ladies room there has an outer sitting room that is always quiet and cool.
After the show, we were headed back to the Polynesian. And yes, we were back on the monorail, but this time in the front!!! I did attempt to bribe the CM / conductor to see I he would just pretend to pull into the monorail station and then when people started walking up to the railing, pull off again really fast!!!

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6807.jpg
As soon as we went through the turnstiles, the skies opened up and it poured!!! We ran through the rain to the monorail station, but the rain was blowing sideways and everyone was getting drenched. All the people lined up for the monorail were huddled together with the grownups on the outside and the children in the middle trying to stay dry. The wind was vicious. A bird’s nest flew out of a tree and hit Chuck in the head! I was glad to board the monorail and be back at our Polynesian paradise. But, do you know, Chuck went out and stood in that pouring rain to watch Wishes on the beach again!! hey it’s my vacation to, and besides what I’m paying per night to stay there, I’m taking in all the perks that I can!!! Besides, with the rain, I had the beach all to myself.
Good night!!

I don't and won't lecture about taking kids out of school for a Disney trip. I took myself out of school to take my daughter and granddaughter in October so that my daughter could be in her happy place on her birthday!
We had Tonga toast at the Polynesian on her birthday morning. We shared our table, too...

We had the best trip, and I imagine I will take myself out again in the future, when the time is right.
You could possibly be the only person I have ever heard of being hit in the head by a flying bird's nest.

Have you ever seen Chef Mickey’s in the dark?
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6810.jpg
Well, probably, but not this type of dark. This is Butt crack of dawn Morning dark!
Yes, when we imagined staying at the Polynesian, we thought, “How lovely it will be to jump on the monorail early in the morning and be right off to breakfast!” So gleefully (yes, gleefully, I AM a morning person.) I made 7:30 ADRs for Chef Mickey’s and learned, after checkin at the Poly, that the monorail does not start running until 7:30. After pleading with Disney Dining to change our ADR and being told no because they had a party of 60 soccer kids that morning (Do we really still want to go?) we just drove over.
Watching Chef Mickey’s wake up is a neat experience!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6813.jpg
We were the second family to check-in and the only ones in our second for a little while.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6817.jpg
Even with the early hour, the characters were ready to go.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6822.jpg
While we were at the Disney outlet yesterday, Chuck picked up a neat poster for a buck and we decided to try getting the characters to sign it. Chef Mickey’s seemed like a good testing ground. All the characters loved it. They each took the time to find their picture. Mickey was the first to sign and signed right over Donald’s picture. Needless to say, Donald was quite put out. Here’s the finished product.
http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z173/DizneyDad/TO002.jpg
Chuck picked up a couple posters and we are going to try again this summer. Only a buck! ….Mouse Surplus has them listed for $30/each….makes me wish that I had picked up a few more…..Can’t say enough about the bargins to be had at the character Premier Outlet!!! Maybe if we can find a Star Wars poster cheap…….
As we saw Minnie getting closer to our table, Jake excused himself for some ice cream. It seems on our past trips, Minnie has developed quite a thing for our Jake. She actually chased him around the Visa cardmember meet and Greet last year! He gives her a wide berth. While I was taking this picture, Jake was peeking over the ice cream machine to see if she was gone. (that picture didn’t turn out.) It was hilarious.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6832.jpg
And yes, even at the butt crack of dawn, we have to party! (For some reason I look quite terrified of my napkin.) These things usually dissolve into us hitting each other with our napkins.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6825.jpg
After we were stuffed beyond human capacity, it was time to go. The monorail was waiting for us……..
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6834.jpg
…….but Chuck and Jake wanted to take a little detour.

Naw, After the last time we got caught doing that we had to promise Disney Security we wouldn't do it again.....what, since I already got that restraining order from Cinderella (grr.....howl, woof, woof) I really have to watch my P & Q's.
Just kidding, actually having seen the lines going to the women's restrooms (second to the lines to SOARN) I can not think of anybody who would willingly dare to venture into that no-man's land, except by necessity!! (Here's a thought - Fast Passes for the restrooms ---or maybe a nice que line...what would the pre-story be about?) - It's one of those things that makes me glad to be a guy, in and out in no time!!

I'm kicking myself for not taking the time to go back by the outlet and buy a few more and then just get them autographed along and along and then give them out as gifts!!!!:sad2: I was so concerned with the car acting up, I didn't want to take the chance to go back and get onto the slow moving International Drive traffic.......If I had only taken the time to read the car's owner manual :confused3 ALL :confused3 the way through!!! (when we first go off of I-4 the tempt gauge went up and the dinger went ding!! I read through the owner's manual and saw all the things that 'might' be wrong, only I didn't see the last two sentences in the section that basically said "Hey, sometimes this will happen after you've driven along way and then suddenly stop in traffic - Don't worry!!" - Oh well! Chalk one up for not reading the instructions all the way through!!!
As far as the poster goes, when we saw it listed on Mouse Surplus, we saw that they weren't sold in the parks, but that they had been a gift when you booked a certain package.

I'm here popcorn:: ! Love the enthusiasm of your family in all the pictures -- you guys look like you are having the time of your lives! You have taken some great photos -- makes me homesick to be back at the World!
I just have to add that I am very jealous that you have a Bagheera plush! I adore The Jungle Book (we read the original stories in my 7th grade classes and then treat ourselves to watching it -- the kids always laugh because I sing all the songs :) ). I even have a black cat that I named Bagheera -- drives me nuts that the vet always misspells it. Grrrr!
Also, since reading your TR, I am definitely working in a stop at the Character Warehouse -- I never even knew it was there!

Thanks for coming over!!! Chuck and Jake are responsible for most of the pictures and there is video coming soon, courtesy of Jake! He is a totally techy kid. Good to have around!
I love my Bagheera! I fell in love with him at the Disney Store that day, and I'm glad Chuck got him. I've not seen another quite as nice.
Definitely schedule a stop at the Warehouse! We always find the neatest things.

Lesson Learned:Chuck and Jake need supervision.
One of my very favorite things to do is catch the morning show at Magic Kingdom. It sets the mood for our day and always reduces me to tears. But alas, even with all my careful timing and coordination, this morning it was not to be. After our filling breakfast at Chef Mickey’s, Chuck and Jake decide they want to see just how high they could go up in the Contemporary and take some pictures. Em and I decide to content ourselves with the giftshop.
I think it’s best if Chuck takes it from here.
(Please not that I had no knowledge of these plans and I am not condoning any actions taken hereafter by my husband or my son.)
Wanting to see how the other half lived, Jake and I snuck onto the concierge level. It’s not all that hard really. You just stand around near the elevator and when someone who looks like they ‘belong’ (you can usually tell because they will have the odd $100 bill or two just hanging out of their back pocket) starts walking towards the elevator. Let them get on first and push the button and then act like your going to push the same button but then you see it’s already lit so you don’t need to (have your room key in your other hand, like your fixin’ to use it)----it’s that simple!!! Once we got up there we stepped to the balcony where we took a few shots. Oh, the food they had! It was a good thing that we had already made pigs out of ourselves @ Chef Mickey’s, but even still, I was lamenting that I didn’t back a few zip lock bags, just in case!! (Next time I’m bringing a few bags and maybe even a gladware container or two)….
Even though Jake and I didn’t score any goodies, we did step out onto the observation to get a few shots and take into the sights!!

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z173/DizneyDad/monorailcontemp.jpg
And here is the photographic evidence (which I will be using against him in the future!!)
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6862.jpg
But seriously, I was getting totally ticked off as the minutes ticked by and I knew we were gonna miss the show. But when they came down, they were so happy and excited, you would have thought they’d won a stay in the castle!
So, we were finally off to the Magic Kingdom! What would the day hold? Stay tuned to find out.:thumbsup2

Just found your report, and I'm enjoying it so much. You all are a true Disney family--everybody loves it! My family includes a non-Disney lover, but since he loves me, he goes anyway. Just not as often!
Thanks for the instructions on hanging the antenna topper from the mirror. When I brought home my new car last summer, I ran in the house to get my Minnie head and put it on the antenna. Running into the garage with her clutched in my hot little hand, I stopped short and yelled to DH "Take it back! There's no antenna for my Minnie head!" I will shop more carefully next time!
Also planning to hit that premier character outlet when we go next month--thanks for directions!;)

You can't go wrong with the Character Premier Outlet (the often imitated, but never duplicated Disney outlet store!)!!!!!
In addition to picking up some T-Shirts @$5/a piece, a couple of Mickey Hawaiian shirts, a few Minnie and Goofy mugs and the neato (I know, I'm sooo :cool2: ) posters, I also got a Jumbo (Sorcery Mickey superimposed over SE) pin for myself for five smackers....My only regret was that I didn't get a couple of more posters and a half dozen or so Jumbo pins to give out as gifts (they had Tinker Bell as well).
They also had regular pins, but most were only a dollar or two off of the regular prices (we could do much better @ Pin Castle).
Ahh....the outlet store.... for those of us who like a bargin as much as we like the mouse.

After Chuck and Jake’s dip into Disney luxury and my little pout (Little Pout!!….Oh my goodness, that bottom lip was hanging so low, it literally tripped a family of four!!)) about missing the morning show, we were through the gates of MK and onto the Indy Speedway. (I picked up our FPs for Space Mountain!)
Em insisted on wearing her Stitch claws. Don’t they look cute!

Jake, of course, got to drive his own car and has provided us with this footage. Enjoy!!

Next up was Winnie the Pooh. We missed it in December, and promised Em we would ride this time. Em will never be too old to love Pooh, but somehow, Jake and Chuck look a little too happy about riding…….Right now a comment about everybody enjoys a good Pooh comes to mind

After a quick cut through of Fantasyland, we were off to the Haunted Mansion. (Yeah!) Of course we saw this topiary along the way and I had to get my picture with it. I love the princesses (and pirates too!) I’m not ashamed to admit it. I loved Snow White as a child because she was the only princess with dark hair. (BB-before Belle.) And who doesn’t long to be Cinderella dancing with her prince? I’ll refrain from any Cinderella remarks due to my aforementioned pending issues with her….. I think that was in the last trip report...

Ok, back to the plan. Haunted Mansion.

We were all anxious to get another look at the changes. It’s so full of details. I just love it all.

It was time to blast off with our Space Mountian fast passes, so we decide to cut in front of the castle. There was a horse drawn carriage for four parked in the hub.
Em begged for us to ride. I was sure it wasn’t running, but she marched right up and the nice lady let us on!! Our very own carriage ride down Main Street!!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC02927-1.jpg
I wish we had taken more pictures, but we noticed everyone was staring at us so of course, we started waving and saying Good Morning to everyone. I guess people thought we were something special, and we had a good time taking advantage of it. I was laughing so hard!! I did manage to take a picture of the horse. of course it didn’t hurt to mention loudly as we were getting off the carriage, that we had been selected for a stay in Cinderella’s Castle – it wasn’t true, but they didn’t know it:rotfl:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6954.jpg
It was soo much fun. If you ever get a chance, try it! Make your own parade!!
By now, the boys were really jonesing for Space Mountian! Em and I weren’t up for it, so we let the boys go twice while we enjoyed the nice, slow, quiet, calm Carousel of Progress.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6958.jpg
Well, we should have ridden!! The boys met up with the Dream Squad, and won Dream FastPasses!!!!! Chuck, being the sweet dad that he is, gave his to Em. Sweet has nothing to do with it, it’s all about self preservation Baby!!! A couple of rides on Space Mountain is about all this fat old dad can handle!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6970.jpg
I know, they don’t look very excited in that picture, but it was like, “Come on, take the picture already! We wanna ride!!!!!”
They decided Big Thunder would be first, so we took our favorite little path behind the castle.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6975.jpg
Of course, we had to make a wish!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6978.jpg
The Fairy Godmother was holding court, so I had to have a picture. (No one else would go with me. (It was really turing into a princess day! The carriage ride, visit with fairy Godmother, where are those glass slippers?)
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF6981.jpg
Not sure what that look on my face is all about……
While Jake and Em rode, Chuck and I visited my favorite pin shop in MK (found a Poly pin with Mickey and Minnie) and the Haunted Mansion wagon (No luck finding any thing cool with Jack Skellington for my niece.)
But just so we wouldn’t feel left out, Jake made us this. (He wanted you to know the weird screaming kid is not him or Em.)

After a quick lunch at Captain Cook’s and a few hours of downtime at the Poly, we decided to ride over to the Studios to see the new sign and just hang out. It’s fun to walk around there at night and see all the neon.
But at the bus stop, I started to feel terrible… I mean, really bad. I kept hoping maybe it would pass, but all of the sudden I had to throw up. I told Chuck I had to go and ran up to our room (good thing it was close!) I made it, but it was close!! Chuck sent Em to check on me and I told them to go on to the Studios and I’d just rest. My evening at WDW consists of vomit and catching up with that week’s episodes of General Hospital. Chuck will have to fill you in.
Being blessed with a horrible memory I have to say………..I got nothing! I remember getting on the bus to go to MGM and that’s about it!…..
Thanks alot, honey!;)
Ok since Chuck has no memory and I was too busy heaving up my guts, I’ll just post the pictures I found. I guess you guys will have to piece it together yourselves.

Here’s our view.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7144.jpg
On our other side was this guy.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/Lynn003-1.jpg
Is it just me or does he look kind of naughty……
Anyway, soon they brought our food and it was delish!! That pineapple bread is just the best. And of course, one of my favorites…..
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/Lynn004.jpg
Too bad he has to die……
Soon we had visitors at our table!!:cool1:
Stitch and Lilo came by first!!

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7154.jpg
As we were chowing down, we heard laughter over from the corner. Pluto was on his way. He was on the floor sniffing around people. He was the most animated Pluto we have ever seen. He came over to me first and seemed to really like my hair.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7160.jpg
Chuck was next and got a big hug.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7165.jpg
While Pluto was playing with Jake, the server came by to change our plates. Pluto begged for leftovers. Too Funny.

That Pluto was the best! Em gave him an ear scratch and we all told him what a good dog he was!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7164.jpg
Next it was time for the Big Cheese himself!!
I love the look on Em’s face.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7156.jpg
He even had a quick hug for me!! he went to hug me too! And it was nice….until I realized that he was trying to lift my wallet…..Oh, Mickey! Will you every learn..by the time it’s on our last day, my credit cards are maxed out!!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7158.jpg
We met this guy on the way out. Interesting choice of a parting shot!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7169.jpg
For food and character interaction, Ohana’s was the best!! And even with the amount of people that were there, it was very peaceful and quiet. A good way to ease into the day!
And what a good day it will be!

I haven't started one. I always say I want to, but then everyday life gets in the way.
We've been in August. It's definitely HOT. We spend a lot of time at the pool, and we try to go to the parks later in the day and stay later.
We've booked breakfast with Lilo and Stitch for our first morning there. Have to start figuring out where else we want to eat this time.

Happy Easter to you, too! Hope you had a lovely day as well!
We had a great time! After church, we went down to my parent's farm (about an hour above Charleston), ate entirely too much, and rode four wheelers!! I made the mistake of riding with my brother who is a speed demon!!! It was fun, but I have a huge bruise on my bottom from being tossed around.

Hello my bus friend!! We are only taking a short trip in June, 6-10 and we are staying at the Pop. So tell Hubby he doesn't have to worry about this strange set of friends bugging you. ;)

A couple of quick replys from the first page. I will get around to the rest later.
After seven hours of podcasts and eighties music, we are pulling into Orlando for your first stop, Character Premier Outlet!!
I had heard about this place but didn't know anyone who had actually gone there. I'll have to talk Pete into it for our may trip.
This is me having to prop myself up against the check-in counter after the 'Mouse' harvested one of my kidneys and pinkie toe as partial payment for the room
Good news, Lynn, he still has 9 toes left. You may get to stay at Poly again.:lmao:
Hubby has nixed Poly because of the no hot tub thing. I can't believe that you have to pay so much and you don't get a hot tub. Maybe they should give out a massage certificate or something to make up for it. Not that I expect them to do that, of course.

Special Announcement: I have with me today a special guest trip reporter, the one and only, EM! Her comments will be in purple.
Since I missed my beloved morning show at the Magic Kingdom (not my fault), we scrapped our plans for a morning at Epcot and monorailed over to MK. They were already letting people through the turnstiles to stand in front of the train station. (I like to sit on the wall.) We got into our normal show position and of course, passed the time taking pictures.

Since things were going so well, we decided to head over to Adventureland to have another go at Pirates. Jungle Cruise had no wait so we jumped on. I am so glad we did. my idea! Our skipper was hilarious! I wish I could remember his name. Maybe Chuck does. Believe it or not I do, it was Ian.
He was like Jim Carrey and Robin Williams rolled in one. I wonder how much coffee /energy drinks he goes through in a average day He would lean way out over the side of the boat and he was just everywhere. The best thing was when we went into the tunnel, (Shirley’s Temple) he started singing, “It’s a Small World” in a really creepy voice and turned around quickly and said, “What was that? That’s the creepiest thing I ever heard.” We were rolling in the boat. Here he is.

If you read our December Trip report, you know we met Charles Ridgeway at Mousefest and I gave Chuck his book for Christmas. Mr. Ridgeway was honored with a window on Main Street.
Chuck’s Challenge: Find the window!!
Of course, it’s always fun trying to look up and not run into people. We all wanted to be the first! It’s amazing how much entertainment you can buy with just a promise of a dollar reward!
Do you want to know who it was?
Me!!! Here it is!

After our morning at Mk, we were on our way to The Studios, by way of our beautiful resort, the Polynesian.
Once on the monorail, my very bad children realized that we were all alone in the entire monorail compartment. And do you know what very bad children do when all alone in the monorail compartment. They jump over the seats, of course!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7227.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7228.jpg
Yep, that’s why people like us don’t stay in the monorail resorts. Once the novelty wears off, we get into trouble.
Well, we didn’t get kicked off and made in back to the resort without injury.
Waiting for the bus to The Studios. (Guess he tired himself out being wild on the monorail.)
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7231-1.jpg
This was my first time back to The Studios since it became The Studios. The flag was changed.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7235.jpg
And the sign had changed.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7236.jpg
But The Studios was amazingly similar to MGM!
We tried to get Chuck on RR, but the wait was too long. We got some lunch at the Sunset Ranch Market and just enjoyed the day.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/P10100252.jpg
A favorite Em Spot.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7247.jpg
On our way out of The Studios, we noticed a shop to the left, that we have always wanted to look in, Sid Cahuenga’s.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7245.jpg
It is full of movie memorabilia, even some signed pictures from Lord of the Rings. (Drool, drool.) Ya, you know how hot those unwashed, unshaved dwarves can be!
I saw this on the little porch and stopped to test my skill.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7242-1.jpg
I knew them all, so the lady came out and tested me. She said I passed and gave us a certificate. It’s a new test every day and it’s free!!! How many did you get?
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/Lynn021.jpg
Sadly, we needed to do some packing because of our early morning, so it was back to the Polynesian. And we had to have time to meet our friend!!!

And do you know what very bad children do when all alone in the monorail compartment. They jump over the seats, of course! Those naughty naughty children :rotfl2:
The flag was changed.
And the sign had changed.
But The Studios was amazingly similar to MGM! So funny :rotfl:

2. Cars
3. Muhammad Ali?
4. Sean Astin (one of my favorite movies)

Since I am feeling under the weather today, I thought I'd take some time to show you some of the pins I bought this last trip. I'm not really a serious pin trader, but I like to get pins from the things that are special to us. I've got a bulletin board in the kitchen painted red with a black Mickey head where I keep them all so they are with me every day. I like to get ones that have Mickey and Minnie or the Mickey, Goofy, and Donald combo.
Of course, a new resort means a new pin.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/miscellaneous/DSCF0168.jpg
I've been waiting to get an Everest pin until they had one with Mickey and now they do!!
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/miscellaneous/DSCF0166.jpg
The children say I shouldn't have gotten it until I actually rode Everest, so I did cheat a little.
This is the one Chuck got from the outlet. It is huge!! It's right in the middle of the pin board.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/miscellaneous/DSCF0164.jpg
This one was my favorite!! I love Carousel of Progress. I have a recording of it I play on the way to work some days when WDW is feeling far away. Anyway, this pin has bits of feather from the parrot on the ride. I was so excited to find it.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/miscellaneous/DSCF0169.jpg
I bought all these at the big Sorcerer's hat at MGM. When you spent a certain amount you got a surprise pin. You actually got to stick you hand in a big bag and pull out one! This is the one we got.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/miscellaneous/DSCF0167.jpg
This last one was a surprise from Chuck for Valentine's day. But he did buy it on the trip (and kept it hidden) so I think it counts. I love it!! He is so sweet.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/miscellaneous/DSCF0165.jpg

Great pins! I love the Polynesian and the Everest pins! That was really sweet of Chuck to get the Valentine's Day one!
The kids have quite a collection of their own from the past four trips.
I started getting my own on this trip: a Coronado Springs and a Pirate and Princess Party (plus my Tink as a witch from October). I am planning on posting pics of those eventually.

Be careful, pins can be addictive. We always find ourselves looking at the Dizpins website about a month out from our trip to see what we like. Pins start at about 6.95 and go up. I think I paid 10.95 for the Carousel one. that big one Chuck got from the outlet was 25.00 originally but he got it for 5.00!!!!
The pins are in all the shops. My favorite place to look is in Frontierland next to the Country bears. It's always quiet and the people are so sweet there.

I made that Mickey pattern a long time ago just playing with the three circles. I trace around it onto the bulletin board with a sharpie and paint it in. I used the same pattern to do the Mickey heads on our tye dye Mickey shirts. BTW, I bought white shirts to make new ones for June. (Em is growing too fast!!)

I am almost there -- Connor is in the shower, then Chelsea, then bedrooms to read :thumbsup2 !
Scottny (who we've nicknamed TGS because he is full of planning advice) had a new ticker this morning, so we had to go get new tickers. They are on the website magicalkingdoms which is chockful of info. about all the Disney parks -- most of it I am familiar with, but there was some new stuff that I hadn't seen before. I had fun browsing through it today. :goodvibes

Thanks! I've never had a ticker in my signature! I'll definitely have to check it out. But now I've got to go to bed myself. Tuesday is new release day and I've got to go in at 6AM. :scared1:
Hopefully, Chuck will put his comment s on the next update and we'll have it tomorrow. He spend today painting my bathroom. :cool1:

I'm sure that 1000/night is pocket change for you. :scared1:
Chump change:rotfl: We decided on PORiverside. All 5 of us can fit and I was able to use the spring room-only code. It will be a tight fit but I really want to be at a resort. It just feels much more like a vacation when you are on-site.:cloud9:
This 40 degree day is definitely making me long for the Florida sun.
Where did the sun go here in the south? It's mid-April. Our pool is supposed to open the end of this month:confused3 Of course, I just put the kids "winter clothes" up last week and had to break them back out again.

Fear not my loyal readers, I have heard your pleas and they have not fallen upon deaf ears. Because I am a Chuck of the people I have forsaken the little things such as sleep and food so that I can work on this Trip Report so that your weekend will be complete.
After a heart wrenching packing session, we were off to see one of my favorite reasons to visit Epcot, Off Kilter!! Real men wear Plaid! I only got to see one show on my birthday, so I was determined to settle in for a fun afternoon.
Another ride on the monorail! I never get tired on it.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSC04240.jpg
And this is one of my favorite sights.
If you read our December trip report, (and I hope you did- it’s in my signature if you missed it- it’s pretty good….no pressure), you know we made a good friend on our Fireworks cruise, Heather (otherwise known as Circusgirl). She is so neat, but she lives far away in Seattle. We realized we would both be back in January so we planned to meet. I talked to her the night I was sick, but didn’t want to risk her health, if it was something bad. We agreed to meet at Epcot and she would go see my boys with us. She’s never had the pleasure. I’ll take this moment to add here that if you ever get the opportunity to go to Mouse Fest, take it…it is a excellent opportunity to meet some great people who enjoy the Land of the Mouse as much as you do.
She meet us at the leave a legacy tiles and she gave us the bad news!
No Off Kilter!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
I checked the schedule! She was right. No Off Kilter! And that meant no Off Kilter until June!!! Could it be? Am I forced to go six months without my Mark and Jamie fix? Alas, it is all too true. All I can say is thank heavens for YouTube…..It’s bad enough for her to miss Jamie and the boys on a trip….but for her to go 6 months without a OK fix….let’s just say it is a form of Plaid Celtic h-ll for the rest of us.
Well, I tried to shake it off and just enjoy our time with my friend. We decided to ride Spaceship Earth together. Nothing cements a friendship like a journey through time! and then seeing your head pasted onto a cartoon body as it goes about a day in the future
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/P10100292.jpg
The line was long, but it was loading fast and we got a chance to hear about her adventures.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/P10100352.jpg
It was a great ride! Jake took a short movie of the future predicted for he and Emily. That hysterical laughing you hear in the back ground……that’s Heather and I. She’s (Lynn not Heather) a simple girl, it doesn’t take a lot to amuse her….look at me, sometimes she just looks at me and laughs and laughs
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/th_JandEsfuture.jpg (http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/?action=view¤t=JandEsfuture.flv)
After our ride, we mentioned that we would love to see the special exhibit for Epcot’s anniversary. She knew where it was and we went for a look. It was great. There were pictures and original costumes and…. Well, here are some pictures Jake took. Take a look for yourself.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/P1010038.jpg
Don’t you love the scale models? We liked them as well, in fact we gave serious thought of how well they would look sitting in our living room….but alas, somebody had put them inside of a glass case that we could not get into…..can you imagine that!! I don’t know if it is still there because it was in the building where they usually have swag and exhibits for the Flower and Garden festival. If it is, please stop by. Especially if Epcot is a special place for you. It’s a blast from the past!
We had a nice dinner at Sunshine seasons and just a nice visit. She is a special person and I hope we get to see her again. We were officially her ‘posse’ which would have been a really good benefit if she had won the CMO contest.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7270.jpg
Heather had tickets to the Pirate and Princess party being held that night so she rushed off to change and party with the pirates.
We went to have a last visit with Figment.
Afterwards, we let Chuck play around with his camera. I keep hinting that a pictures only trip would be fun, you know, he could take as many pictures as he wanted and I could do whatever. Sounds good, right?
Jake and I contemplate the fountain.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/nuts4wdw_album/Jan%20WDW/DSCF7315.jpg
We decided to have a stroll around World Showcase. There is nothing more peaceful than all the countries, light up waiting expectantly for Illuminations. Nothing is more relaxing than the World Showcase illuminated by the torches.

I think those are some of his best.
It came to me that Pirate and Princess parties usually have special fireworks. I called Heather to ask what time they were, and we hurried back to the Polynesian for one more night of fireworks from the beach. We were happy to find that even for the P&P fireworks, the music was piped in. Even the cast members came out to watch. Since it was our last night, Chuck left the camera in our room.
I know, I know…I hear the collective gasp from my fellow shutter bugs…I don’t know what I was thinking, spending time with my family
We snuggled together on a lounge chair and enjoyed the sight.
And it wasn’t raining this time!
I feel so lucky and blessed to have these moments together as a family, to be able to have fun together at WDW visit after visit. I hope it is something Jake and Em will want to continue with their children.
There is one more morning left and a meal we’ve all been looking forward to…..

I listened to the Be Our Guest yesterday and I really like the format. It's such a different podcast and I don't always have time to read people's reports, so this is very cool
I like the WDW Radio show (I love his sound clips) as well and I'm starting to get into the Inside the Magic one. Have you seen the "bringing the dole whip home" video? I would order that stuff if I had an ice cream maker. I can't remember if ya'll are Dole Whip fans.
I have WDW Today on my itunes to try out. I'm not familiar with Mouseguest. I have more that I would like to listen to than time to listen. I usually listen while waiting to pick up my girls from school (which also happens to be when my son, Calvin, naps) but that only affords me 30 minutes or so. Now that softball season has started I'll have more time during practices:rolleyes1

What was I thinking! Yes, I listen to the Dis-Unplugged as well. I’ll usually put it and a couple of the longer pod-casts on the MP3 player in my car and then listen to them on night shift.
Give WDW today a try, sometimes the back and forth banter between the guys are absolutely hilarious! Also, if you have the time you may want to tune it one of their ‘live’ podcasts that is held simultaneously with a on-line chat of some of their listeners, I think their next live show is this Sunday, give it a try.
MouseGuest is also pretty good and has a pretty close knit community of listeners- drop by for chat night on Wednesday nights, 9PM WDW time.

With the help of my on staff geeks, I should be able to. You'll get a chance to hear my accent!! I really loved yours. It doesn't matter what you say, it sounds fancy. (Maybe that's why I watch so much BBC America!)
Can't wait to hear your accent and mine is fancy :rotfl2: You do make me laugh :rotfl:

Just an update! We have one more day of trip left and I think I'm putting off writing about it because I don't want it to be over. I'll work on it this weekend, I promise. Just in case you are wondering.
But when you finish your TR, you can start your PTR for the June trip -- just saying! :rolleyes1
Wow! you here voices in your head to!!!! :yay: It's good to know that I am not the only one....Don't you hate when they try to sing in four part harmony and there is always that one who sings off key!!!
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
It's usually It's a Small World that seems to be the song of choice in my head.

May 5th is it!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time.
A little good news about the June trip! We asked the teachers and both children have exams right up until the last day so no leaving earlier, but I think Chuck is feeling sorry for us and may add a couple days at the end. :cool1: Of course, our APs expire on June 8, but after that we could try some nonpark things. Maybe Fantasia Gardens and eating at different resorts. And of course, the waterparks. We could go back and watch Wishes from the beach again. The possibilites are endless!!!!
Oh, and their last school day is a half day, so we should be at WDW in time to have dinner and see Illuminations!!
I'd leave tomorrow if we could. I am so ready to go.

I am too -- I have been mooning around all day and dreaming of Disney!
Are you not renewing your APs?
There is a ton of non-park stuff to do -- that's one of the things I love about WDW!

No sniff, sniff, we are not renewing our APs. We are hoping to do a couple of trips next year (including a two week summer trip~my favorite)and it just works out better to get them again later. It is sad, though. It's so nice just to get them out and look at them after a bad day and think, "You know, I could go right now if I wanted to...."
That may be one thing I do in my pretrip report (if I do one). Ask everyone for suggestions for non park days.

APs are budgeted into our tax return every year. Every time we start talking about doing without, I look at how fast the children are growing and how soon they will be gone. (Jake will be able to help us drive down next summer!!!!!:scared1: ) We just want to go as often as we can. There's always something new to try. Right now, I'm just obsessed with that pirate and Princess Party. I don't think a surprise is on my horizon, though. maybe next spring.....:cool1:
