Yes I was. We toured many resorts that trip (it was a travel agent program) and so I took a ton, plus I found my 2008 pictures, so just added those as well.

The decorations go up about two weeks prior to Thanksgiving so they should be up when you're there.

The views from the roof were amazing! The ranger pointed out all the local landmarks to us, and I have some pretty pictures of the GF, Poly and Swan somewhere too. There are some pretty cool ones of the Contemporary in my flickr stream also. Sadly, I have only gone through one day's worth the pics from our September trip so far. I know I have some more of the lodge somewhere, and will try to post them after I find em :)

What is picture 3624? I cannot figure it out.


I must confess, that one was taken with my boyfriends camera, not my 7d. Its pretty funny that the lesser camera took one of the prettiest pictures :)


That is near the geyser looking towards the boat dock. I think my boyfriend actually took it from one of the lower rails on the pathway. 3623 was in the same area, just pointed down at the water. I really liked 3624 because at first glance I didn't place it either. It looked like a cabin to me!


The photo I still have trouble placing is 3038. I have no clue what angle he took that one from, and I would swear it wasn't from the top of the Wilderness. Yet, it was taken the same day and grouped with pictures from the top. We photos numbered before and after it from the roof, so I would assume it had to be a roof pic. But, to me, it looks like it was taken from a spot a bit to the left of the MK entrance.


Hopefully, one of these days I will have time to sort through our other pictures from the trip- the lodge is just soo beautiful and I know we have a ton of other shots that somewhat do it justice :) It was really a photographer's dream staying there. So many small, intricate details against a stunning backdrop...


I also love seeing how others picked nearly the same framing for shots as we did. I really like how Cosmos has some shots that are nearly identical to ours. If more than one person found it picture-worthy, then we must have good taste, right??

Tick tock...tick tock...28 days until we arrive at VWL for the first time. We had some points in holding and no 2BR's were available at this late of a date at VWL so we will spend one night at BLT prior to a week at VWL. Can't wait. Any picture requests?

We're staying at WL for the first time in June. We usually stay club level at BW but wanted to try something new. Can anyone give me some info on WL Deluxe club level? I see that the balconies are enclosed but not sure exactly what that means. All pics would be appreciated.

There are many WL/CL photos on the first page of the WL thread that is hyperlinked in my signature.

By "Deluxe CL" do you mean a Deluxe room with CL access? All the CL rooms at WL are Standard rooms except for the two suites and the 25 Deluxe rooms that are located on floors 1-6. The Deluxe rooms have a regular balcony railing that you can see through. Only the 7th floor CL rooms and some of the 6th floor rooms have a solid balcony railing that you can't see through. Thanks WDWKOOK. We are staying in a deluxe room with club level access. I love the photos you have posted and the info on the balconies. I realize these rooms are on floors 1-6 and the club is on the 7th floor. Do you know if the deluxe rooms on floors 1-6 are a long walk from the elevators? The kids like to bring food back to the room. We're really excited about our first stay at WL

We are renting points and staying 4 nights at SSR and just switched to 3 nights at VWL. We stayed at WL before but are trying to decide which DVC to buy in the future and VWL are on the list.
