I attribute at least part of whatever success I had at WDW to two things: first, having a camera with 10X (380mm equivalnet) zoom, and the ability, with digital, to shoot WAY more pictures of any given subject than I would ever *dreamed* of with film. The ones posted on the dis board are a pitifully small fraction of the total number of shots I took, most of which are not much good, I'm sorry to say.

Thank you for the compliment, though. Let me know when you're tired of 'em, and I'll quit.

A lowly Fujifilm Finepix S5200. It's been a goodie, and I was very pleased with what the 38-380mm equivalent zoom allowed me to do at WDW last month. They are very reasonably priced, online, at present, too. $230 at beach, for example.

Does it matter if the pictures are really big?
The bigger the better! I right click on the pictures and choose "Save Picture as...". Then I can resize them later depending on the size I like. If it's a small picture you're stuck with a small picture.

Thanks.. Im almost positive this was when you exit Space Mountain.. You know how you walk on those things that move you (like the ones at the airport) .. it was when we were on one of those to the right side.. At least the date on that picture is the day we were in MK and thats the only place I remember this..

You are right. It is SM. You can see the plaque with the scene description in the corner, and I am positive that is the robot that is "taking your picture."

OT: Speaking of the SM picture, did the WDW version ever take an on-ride photo? If it did, is the camera still there inside the ride before the drop, and was the photoviewer where the surveilence cameras are now at the end?

Someone (an Imagineer??) was having a rooftop lunch under a sun umbrella on the 13th floor of the Tower of Terror last week! I was photographing the facade with a 300 mm lens and spotted the umbrella. You could see it best from in front of Cantalina Eddie's. So if you are at Disney-MGM Studios around noon, see if the Imagineers are having lunch! (The umbrella was gone by about 12:45 p.m.) I asked a CM if the bellhops have a rooftop lounge, but he said he'd never been up there. He said this may be related to the Year of a Million Dreams -- that one of the dreams might be lunch on the roof of the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Now that will be one tough ADR to snag!

Theoretically, it should put some downward price pressure on the D70s, but I doubt it will affect the D50 much, as it is already priced as entry-level. I've had differing opinions on whether to get the 50 or the 70s; of course, there are those that say get the 80, but it's a lot easier to say that when you are spending someone ELSE's money! I want the Tokina 12-24 and Nikon 28-200 G for my lens collection, and that just does not leave any extra for a D80 body. It'll have to be the 50 or the 70.

You wanna weigh in on my dilemma?

what is the box with the names on it?
I can't remember if those are animatronics or not? It looks like there are switches on the box with names of the characters next to the switches... lighting controls perhaps? I don't know... I was trying to figure it out as well... Maybe there's an electrician around here that can identify the box.
