Hey, how did you get this picture? When we were there in September, 'Mater was only in the MGM parade.
Is he making "appearences" now?

Wow! Since we were in September, they weren't starting all the new shows (i.e., Woody, HSM, etc.). Thanks for posting a picture from a new show.
If any of you guys have pictures from the new shows, would you post a few so the rest of us could see what they look like?
Thanks, FTB, I always enjoy your pictures!
Debbie
Just for fun, I edited this shot three ways - so I'm going to post four pictures today... Well, technically just one because they're all the same shot ;)

We kinda lucked out because we were just coming out of the Lights Motor Action show and Mater was just down from there. My daughter was the last one to be able to get her picture taken with Mater.

Thanks! Cute shots of your youngster! Lots of fun with that water! The software I'm using makes photo albums that are on my web site. It is called jAlbum (www.jalbum.net) It is pretty straight forward to use and allows a number if "skins"; different looks for the albums. The frame is in the BluPlusPlus skin that comes with it. It seemed to fit a Chrismas-ey feel! The camerais a Canon Digital Rebel (350D)
(Other pics from this trip and an example of the album is at http://dbeedle.com/Photos/Dis-Dec2006 if you wanna take a look!)

Hi everyone! I have been lurking around here for quite a while-I LOVE all the pics, but have not posted yet myself-yet! Just looking for any tips for taking pics. As you can see we are leaving soon ( I am going to explode, keeping this secret and not being able to talk about it daily to my kids is killing me!!!), well for my bday we bought a new camera-a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 that is much more advanced than I am used too! Any tips on how to get the types of pics I see on here? Mine have been kinda shaky (but I think I am getting better) even though it has stablizer-I think it works less when I zoom out farther, maybe its just me.
Anyway-just looking for tips from the disney photo "pros"!

Paper1225, I absolutely cannot claim to be a photo pro... but a simple thing that helps with camera shake is tucking your elbows close to your body when you're holding the camera instead of having them sticking out. It just stabilizes your arms. Have an awesome trip!!

Just point and click! Almost everything in Disneyworld is setup to be a great photo so you don't have to do much but take the picture! One thing I like to do is not center every picture, I like to offset whatever I want the focus of the picture to be, I think it looks good. Have fun!

My best advice is to take LOTS of photos. Generally the professionals say that you will get one great picture, several good pics, and a fair amount of OK pics for every 100 you take. So my theory is take a billion pics. :rotfl2:
Also, take tons of pics before you go. Get used to that new camera. The better you know your equipment, the better your chances are of getting the perfect shot.
Have a great trip and good luck with the secret!

...that's why a digital camera is soo much better than the 'conventional' kind...you can look at the pic that you just took and decide to keep it or erase it and try again....

How about a little Capt Jack to start the day! I have to say Pirate Tutorial was quite entertaining! Tara and I never seemed to be near POTC at the right time, so this was the first thing we did yesterday. This Jack was great - he had the mannerisms and voice just about perfect. She is now a Pirate apprentice!
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e291/makasper/Magic%20Kingdom/Adventureland/PirateTutorial121009.jpg
What I found very funny was his Pirate friend is one of the Dapper Dan's that serenade us on Main St! (For this I need to post two more pics!) Once I realized it when he was singing at the end I didn't have an opporutunity to take a better face shot!

I agree. This was the second time that we saw her. The first time we saw her was in September. I took this picture of Belle last week. We were talking to her about the first time we saw her. Belle remembered that she took a walk with my cousin's daughter and she was wearing an outfit that was almost the same color as her dress. I thought it was nice that she remembered.
I took loads of pictures on our most recent trip (got home last Wednesday).
To start off, here's a simple one of that jolly fellow the YETI!

The quality leaves much to be desired, but hey, it was taken with no flash on the action (low resolution) setting, so I'm happy. xD

Oh my goodness. The look on that child's face says it all. I need to print this out and when people say "You are going to Disneyworld AGAIN", I will show them this and say "This is how I feel at Disneyworld". What a precious crew you have.
I think I will do the same- I am SO tired of trying to explain myself or getting those little "remarks" from the POOR SOULS that just dont get it! :sad2:

We bought this camera for our disney trip this year. I really like it. I did take most of the photos on program though. Just read your manual, and keep reading it! I took a few photos in the sports mode and of course used the flash. I found that I could fix the color of the shots that came out too dark at the photo printing kiosk and that helped, too. Good luck.

I LOVE this photo of Tara with Chip & Dale on Sunday. I finally got the photo I want to send out in my Christmas cards! They were playing with the tree while Tara was visiting Donald, and we were the only ones in the room at the time. The originally posed in the middle, but I asked if they would pose by the tree. They played with Tara showing her to act surprised at the tree. Tara had a great private audience with them for a few minutes, and because no one else was there to see - she really played it up with them!
Sometimes the simplest things make the best lasting memories.

I really like my Sony CyberShot DSC-T9 (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/t9.html). I'm not sure if it's still available, but I know the Sony CyberShot DSC-T10 is, and it's even better. IMHO this is the best ultra-compact digital camera on the market. It's VERY compact, fitting easily into my front pocket. The LCD screen is huge. It takes great pictures, not as good as my Sony CyberShot DSC-H2, but you can't expect it to at this size. It is VERY simple to use and the menus are very straight forward and easy to understand. Takes better than average low-light photos without a flash as well.
I carry this camera with me everywhere I go, and in fact, it was my main digicam before I went and bought the H2.
I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a great camera that is very compact.
Good luck with whatever you decide on!

Kind of a picture request but my DD and I were reminiscing about old trips and she remembers having a blast in the after ride area of Journey into Imagination before the remodeling. Does anyone else remember or have a picture of the play area where you waved your hands over pics of instruments and the sound played? We both remember that she was quite the conductor and would love to see a picture of it again :lovestruc

I have a Nikon Coolpix 7900. One of the main reasons we got it was for the 7 mp and it's size. It easily fits in a smaller purse or pocket. As evidenced by the photos I post here, night shots are a challenge with this camera and the zoom (3x) isn't that great. Zoomed in photos don't come out as clearly as I'd like.
It's my first digital, so it's been a learning experience.

Thank you! I made the t-shirts & the shoes (no, not the Crocs ;) )...a friend made the red outfits & a nice lady on ebay made the animal print shirts along with a couple other outfits.
I loved having all these cute outfits!! The kids were definitely noticed...in fact, our youngest had more characters come out of parades to kiss her or say "Hi!", it was soo much fun!! It definitely made her feel so special...she just turned 3 day before yesterday.
Here is one of the characters that stopped by:

Great shot, you should have someone take a photo of you two there on every trip in the same position and watch her grow and change! That's what we like to do.
Thanks for the great idea Blondie! I'll have to try to remember that. I always say I'm going to do this and I'm going to do that. But when I get there everything is so exciting and I just get caught up in everything that is going on around me and I forget to do half the stuff I intended to do. Even if it's on a list... This one should be easy enough to remember though.
By the way Blondie, your pictures with your new camera are looking awesome! Keep 'em coming :thumbsup2

They were completely clueless of the surprise, which made it that much more fun & special!!! :cool1: Not to mention, all of our little bits of pixie dust that flew all over this trip. Taters, is your son and oldest daughter twins? They look like it.
Actually, they are almost 3 years apart. They are the best of friends & I have been asked that before. I guess I don't realize how much they look alike - I don't necessarily see it. :confused3 I do, however, (in pictures) see how much our youngest daughter looks like her sister at this age. It'll be fun to see how they all look when they're adults.
