The talking Trash Can in MK Tomorrowland had dd in stitches!! She had her bday button on I believe, and the trashcan wanted a "Kiss from a Princess" of course she obliged!! He even told the kids hanging around to move out so the "Queen" could get Princess' Picture!! :rotfl2:

No have not heard from anyone, but back in the spring someone contacted me with what you are saying about a book and using one of my pictures, no pay but credit and a free book if the picture is used, gave them the info and picture but havn't heard anything back. I'm the lurking author who has been picking the best photographers off this thread for A Scrapbooker's Guide to Walt Disney World! Actually, all the photographers here are fantastic. This thread is the biggest treat to visit. Over on Webshots, I'm supposed to be finished reviewing all 200,000+ (maybe more like 300,000) Disney World photos by January. On Webshots, I have to look through many dozens of photos to find a possibility for the book. On this thread, they are all possibilities!

Thank you to all here who have been so gracious as to agree to the use of their photos. If all goes well, we will be having a publication party for the book at the beginning of December '06 at Walt Disney World. All the photo contributors will be invited to a reception where they will be welcome (but not required!) to sit at a table and sign copies of the book. So far, there are 150 photo contributors. (The book will have at least 400 photos, all printed in color.) If your calendars allow, pencil in a visit to WDW at the end of next year. Perhaps the first DIS photographers meet?

I was there 1st week in Dec, lots of rain. Not fun. It was do-able, but the rain was real rain, for days, I hated it!

We didn't have serious rain THANK GOODNESS!!! Ours was mist and drizzle with real rain for 10 minutes before MVMCP! It was a miracle.

It seems a lot of us from our December trips have gray behind the castle. Didn't put a damper on my trip. The gold just jumped out at you with the dark skies. I loved that a cloudly sky still made me happy. :earsboy:

Ha...when we went last week it was coolish but perfect for us. Right now outside, it's sooooooo cold. brrrrrrr... I nearly flipped on the ice.

As for people wearing jackets...my photos have us wearing t-shirts, sweatshirts AND jackets...the whole mix. Somebody would have a hard time figuring out where we were (well, except for that giant rodent that's always in the photo...go figure.)

No there wasn't but Disney Imagineers found an episode with Rod Serling standing in front of a maintenance elevator. They mixed actual footage and words from Rod with those of an actor to get the sound track and video you see in the Library.

It all depends on the task you want to accomplish. I always tell people to just go through the index, find the effect you want, and just practice. One of the great things about APS is the ability to save altered pix as a copy and retain the original.

Seriously, stunning pics. What kind of camera do you use? (I'm sure you've answered this same ? about a zillion times.)

Kodak CX7430 and I always tell people:

1- Shoot with the sun at your back.
2- Look for interesting angles and perspectives.
3- Hold your breath when you press the shutter.
4- Experiment with the different settings to get the result you like best.
5- Fill the frame with as much of your subject as possible.
6- Don't be afraid to crop excess sky, ground, trees, etc. from your pix
7- Shoot at the highest resolution as possible.
8- When shooting indoors and there is plenty of natural light, turn off the flash. The flash will darken the picture in most cases under these conditions.
9- Rest your camera on a stable surface for night shots if you do not have a tripod (bench, table, fence, ledge, trach can top, etc.)
10- Try to get natural looking shots of your family rather than "posed" shots.
11- Enjoy your pictures!

Kodak CX7430 and I always tell people:

1- Shoot with the sun at your back.
2- Look for interesting angles and perspectives.
3- Hold your breath when you press the shutter.
4- Experiment with the different settings to get the result you like best.
5- Fill the frame with as much of your subject as possible.
6- Don't be afraid to crop excess sky, ground, trees, etc. from your pix
7- Shoot at the highest resolution as possible.
8- When shooting indoors and there is plenty of natural light, turn off the flash. The flash will darken the picture in most cases under these conditions.
9- Rest your camera on a stable surface for night shots if you do not have a tripod (bench, table, fence, ledge, trach can top, etc.)
10- Try to get natural looking shots of your family rather than "posed" shots.
11- Enjoy your pictures!
