Tony Toon, how can you not like Stitch? :confused3 Again, another great photo! How are you going to out do yourself on your next visit?

I hate the attraction (complete waste of time and space IMHO) and, call me old fashioned :teeth: but I don't see Stitch as a proper Disney hero.

As for improving on these photos - easy! - I'll just hand over the camera to DS - you know what I mean ;) .

Declansdad - The castle in Disneyland Paris has an upper story featuring a gallery of stained glass windows featuring the the story of Snow White. You can walk out onto a narrow balcony walkway to the rear of the upstairs turret overlooking this scene. :) PS It is a particularly beautiful castle in DLRP and to my embarrassment I don't have one decent photo of it. :blush: :guilty:

Yes it is the Country Bear Jamboree. I have seen it pretty much every time I have gone to Disney World and still love it! To me it's a classic must do.

I just use the action setting (faster shutter speed) without flash on my Nikon Coolpix 4200 for all parades and fireworks. Some pictures came out blurry and some didn't (it depended on how fast the subject was moving). That was probably the best one I got that night. I'm glad you like it! Here's another taken the same way, from the same spot at the train station.

I'll have to try action mode on my camera, Kaler.. tho I'm sure my camera isn't as nice as yours LOL. All of my spectro pics are unrecognizable. and as I said the fireworks photos are mostly crowd shots or black.

My pic was purely by accident.. I have 3 similar.. and it upset me at first because the view of DTD/ PI was so cool from the boat back to POFQ but I guess the speed of the boat blurred the pics. The more I looked at them, though, the more I liked them!

I'm very happy with my Nikon. I'm sure if you keep experimenting with your camera you'll find something that works. I don't know much about photography, actually; most of my good pictures are the product of a lot of experimental shots. Maybe if you ask on the photography board someone can give you advice specific to your camera. :thumbsup2

Some of the pictures that don't turn out the way I meant them to end up to be my favorites too. I really love that DTD picture of yours!

That's exactly where it was, right over the bridge. It's a large viewing area and it was very crowded, but it's still a very good spot for photos. Glad you guys like the picture!

That wasn't my pictures, but the Columbia Harbour House is our FAVORITE counter service restaurant. It is located at Magic Kingdom next to Peter Pan's ride, acrosse from It's A Small World and Haunted Mansion.

We always eat there. Go upstairs, it is a nice place to relax for awhile while you dine. We learned about it on these boards. Honestly, I never noticed it before. I have walked by before, but didn't realize it was a restaurant.

I love photos from Disneyland too! If you get any of the new Monsters, Inc. ride that would be super! It wasn't there when we went a couple of years ago. We love Disneyland, it is just too far away for us to visit very often.

question on taking photos of cast members. I LOVE to see them. Just LOVE to. Dan Murphy has a GREAT collection of this theme. Question: How does one approach a CM? Simply ask: "Do you mind if I take your photo?"
what else do you do? I would LOVE to do this .....

I just ask them. I have several over the years. When I ask they seemed surprised to be asked but they also seemed to like it. I'm at my DS's computer in Dallas but will be home tomorrow. I'll try to remind myself to post a couple of my CM pictures. :thumbsup2

Isnt it funny how when we're at home we tell them to get in the house and get out of the rain before they get sick and then when we get to WDW we tell them, put on the poncho and come on.. :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

It poured one day while me and DD8 were at WDW last September and we donned the ponchos and had a wonderful time.. We walked on almost every ride because everyone else left the park or was standing under cover..

Well...I only mentioned it because it exists and many people may go there specifically to look at DL photos rather than to wade through WDW photos if all they're interested is DL. I look at both threads and post at both. Besides, I said you "might" want to post your photos there not that you had to.

I also mention it because it's a thread that needs more posters so that it can be as big as this thread. For example, the last photo was posted on March 25th. You could really help out by posting some photos there. :teeth: I hope to be able to add to it some more later. :goodvibes

As somebody mentioned, if you post it here, go ahead and post it in the DL thread too.

Yes, and it is SOOOO good. It is in France. When you go past the fountain turn down the alleyway to the left instead of heading straght into the movie. They have soooo many wonderful desserts and good coffee too. I love to pick up treats here just before getting a spot for Illuminations. Last year, we picked them up on the way out the International Gateway to go to MGM for Fantasmic. They will box them up to go for easy transport.

Actually they changed the store. It used to be a Pooh store...when we were down there last month it was still listed as a Pooh store and I went there specifically looking for an Eyeore item...but there wasn't any Pooh stuff there! Same thing with the little toy shop in DTD, listed as pooh, but it isn't. I wonder if the Pooh popularity is slowing?

I was added about a year or so ago, I think, but definitely after 2003. The renamed the area "Streets of America" instead of "New York Street".

It is in MGM in Florida, but while we were there last week there was construction stuff all over the place where they were working on this area.

There is something similar at DCA right at the entrance to the theatre where they have the Aladdin show.

We were in Alligator Bayou, Bldg 27. (Room 2726 to be exact) Our room was on the ground floor, which I HATED... I felt like I had to close the blinds as soon as I walked in because people were constantly walking by the window... felt like we were on display. it was a shame because we actually paid for that water view that we felt we couldn't really enjoy... oh well.

Okay....
I thought I was holding it together pretty good until I saw the photo of the little girl running towards the castle.
In about 8 days, that will be me. I totally agree, THAT is the "Disney Feeling".
Also, thanks to the poster of the EE on ride photo. I'm so happy to know 1. what it looks like, 2. about where it's taken on the ride and 3. that there is another on ride photo op. I LOVE to have these as part of my scrapbook.
This thread totally makes my day. So I'll be home wil plenty of photos to post myself. This will be my first year with digital camera, too much of a hassle to scan in photos etc...

Okay....
I thought I was holding it together pretty good until I saw the photo of the little girl running towards the castle.
In about 8 days, that will be me. I totally agree, THAT is the "Disney Feeling".
Also, thanks to the poster of the EE on ride photo. I'm so happy to know 1. what it looks like, 2. about where it's taken on the ride and 3. that there is another on ride photo op. I LOVE to have these as part of my scrapbook.
This thread totally makes my day. So I'll be home wil plenty of photos to post myself. This will be my first year with digital camera, too much of a hassle to scan in photos etc...

I'm guessing that they had a breakfast reservation for before the park opened. That's the ONLY time I've seen Main Street that empty!!

That was my pic. That's my DD. We were almost late for our breakfast at the castle and it was before the park opened at 9am. This was taken this past March (Mardi Gras week, best week to go for hardly any crowds IMHO, we walked on most rides with hardly any wait time).

That's a picture from on POTC, right? You do realize that you aren't supposed to take pictures inside of that ride, as it is dark so the annoying repeated camera flash can really take away from the ride experience.
