Do you have a program that helps get you such vivid color? I mean, those pictures are just amazing! Yes but most of them are untouched. A really great picture is often just luck (in my case).
The one thing I never change is the sky. You cannot get a better "Sky Blue" than Mother Nature. I do not use a Ploraizer either.

I use:
Photoshop CS
Photoshop Elements 2.0 (for multi-photo collages)
Photostudio (for 2 picture collages)
Paint Shop Pro X

Kodak CX7430 and I always tell people:

1- Shoot with the sun at your back.
2- Look for interesting angles and perspectives.
3- Hold your breath when you press the shutter.
4- Experiment with the different settings to get the result you like best.
5- Fill the frame with as much of your subject as possible.
6- Don't be afraid to crop excess sky, ground, trees, etc. from your pix
7- Shoot at the highest resolution as possible.
8- When shooting indoors and there is plenty of natural light, turn off the flash. The flash will darken the picture in most cases under these conditions.
9- Rest your camera on a stable surface for night shots if you do not have a tripod (bench, table, fence, ledge, trach can top, etc.)
10- Try to get natural looking shots of your family rather than "posed" shots.
11- Enjoy your pictures!

Where were you viewing Illuminations to get this angle?

We're standing in Germany...close to the border with Morroco. It's my favourite place to watch Illuminations because just before they start, you can see the fireworks from the MK and they look like they're going off next to Spaceship Earth.

This is my DS 2nd trip, but his first that he can really interact with the characters. We, or should I say his big sis, has been talking up Disney and Mickey so much. And Mickey is all over our house. So now he finally got to meet him. Can you say "excited!"

First, it's flattering to be mentioned in the same sentence as We-Luv-Disney but we're not even in the same planet when it comes to photos. His photos are just out of this world!!!

Most of my photos were taken with a Canon G5, a point and shoot digital. What you don't see are all the misfires and photos that don't turn out. :rotfl: A lot of experimentation to take the fireworks photos (good thing I like WDW, eh?) For the first year I had that camera, I took my manual along with me to figure out all the manual settings. You can take great photos if you leave the automatic settings behind. Experiment the next time you see the fireworks. It's a great excuse to go back night after night after night to see 'em.

I've just bought a new camera and am a bit nervous that I won't be able to figure it out and my first batch of fireworks photos will be icky. I have until August to perfect my style. hahaha Now...I wonder if I can figure out a way to justify another trip before that. :rotfl2:

No I don't use any special lenses or filters. I have a Kodak CX 7430. It was a sunny day, and I got a FP just to stand in that line to take that picture.

DeVine is a "character" at Animal Kingdom...You have to look carefully for her, she's usually camoflaged in the leaves. Here is a pic we took in November 2004.

This is a neat shot. I happened to notice DisneyFanFamily's picture above and remembered I had a simular picture from 2003. Check this out. The one on the left is DisneyFanFamily's from this year and the one on the right is ours from June 2003.

Both were taken at Magic Kingdom during the daily daytime parade. The first is in 2005 and the second is in 2003. It's amazing the detail they put into the parades.

This photo was taken at MGM after the Backstage tour. The tour exits through a gift shop and they had all these trophies. Funny thing is that my sister (Aunt Suzy) and I call my DD - Ryleigh, sister. Like she is our little sister! When we saw these I told her to hold one up and she struck this pose. What a ham!

I know. But you can get filters that do produce the same effects. :goodvibes I have a ton of them my DF was really into them and when he got tired of them I snagged them. There kind of a pain to use. Thank god for photoshop....

Thank you very much for the very kind words. We had a lot of fun with both of our kids this trip. Since this was a short trip I am starting to run through our photos of them, but will see if I can post some more.

We are heading back in a month. So my DW and I are looking forward to seeing his reaction when he gets to meet the characters again soon. He gives us the same reaction when he sees them on the videos at home.

I didn't see them at MGM when we were there, it was chicken little characters. But when they were at MK the room was pretty empty only had to wait for 2 people ahead of us. I don't think anyone knew they were back there. :goodvibes Hope you find them on your next trip.

:rotfl2: well it was not my first time on either ride, I have been on them both so many times, I know all the drops and how to take it fast and get it under cover! The funny thing is, that time we went to view our picture of the ride and it said "SORRY YOUR PICTURE HAS BEEN WASHED OUT" :rotfl2: I guess my flash met theirs!

My favorite picture! It's always when you don't plan it that you get the best pictures of your kids. We took this on the trail in Africa at AK.

MommyPoppins, you have the cutest boys! It must be so much fun. I would have loved to have a house full of boys. You've really been blessed.

Of course I feel blessed too with one of each, but if I'd had more kids I would have asked for LOTS OF SONS!

That explains why I've never seen it. I don't drive. (I'll be 38 on Tuesday and I've never learned to drive :scared1: :duck: ) :rotfl2:

You got it right! You don't usually get to stand in front of it unless you've parked in Minnie, the lot closest to the TTC. The tram doesn't stop at that lot so you have to hoof it in. (much to the chagrin of my mom who kept wanting to flag down a tram. :rotfl: )

Thanks... this was the 1st trip where I went digital, I was playing sooo much! Came home with 881 pics! Not to count the crap I deleted! I am dangerous with a camera that has a delete on it , more room to play :rotfl2:
