Okay, fine,,,,,, Well,,,,,,,,,, DCL has gone out of its way to stay low key and tell everyone that they had no real plans set for sailaway. They have repeated this numerous times on the phone. WELL,,,,, in the last few days, apparently there has been a change of heart. I was accidentally spilled beans today and said I wouldn't talk, but suffice it to say that "there is no planned sailaway celebration" isn't quite likely to actually occur. I didn't actually expect that to be the case and that is why I continue to ask questions. If the beans are correct, it will be fun for everyone. No specifics that I want to say at this time out of respect for the CM. Plus , if it really is not true, then i would feel bad. However,,,,, I do expect a big bang at sendoff and DCL is apparently also expecting it to be very exciting. Everybody including the ship CMs are excited about the cruise.

Actually wanna hear somethin funny? Cause I'm evil...one of my Absolut bottles I opened without taking off the plastic/safety wrap on the cap. I'm magic what can I say. Anyway, after it was empty I filled it with water and put the still-"sealed" cap back on.

Gave it to my mom (told her what I did) to give to my sisters...waiting to see if they figure it out one day. My own little fun...no one was ever harmed by water!

Another sleepless night, Arrrrgh!
I packed my med kit... BP Cuff, OTC Allergy, Naproxin, enough motion sickness pills for half the group...if you forget yours, come by and use mine... I don't get motion sickness... I just bring the pills, sort of like always carrying a sewing kit and full selection of bandaids and neosporin.

So here I am, wide awake...camera charged up. iPaq is charged up. Cell phone is charged up. I even changed the kitty litter and cleaned out the fridge.

Maybe I should just go take a dose of Rescue Remedy and a benadyl and try to sleep again.

Hi guys,

My..... Everyone was busy last night, I was busy watching the AR finale on TV. We are scheduled to fly out Friday am ( early) and then will pick up Peter & Jen and head to the Radisson Hotel.

Well I feel like a piece of dog poo today. Yesterday afternoon my boss comes to me and says, "so you're going away?" , then tells me that 2 of the partners are concerned that we are not doing as well $$$ as they expected, and gosh now he has to change anniversary plans which he was celebrating early...He totally forgot that we had this discussion way back last summer. I never brought it up again, but I talked about the trip for months here at work. His wife who works part time for me in the lab is covering for me... Hello !!!!!

What is so hard is now I feel really bad & guilty about this extra time off, but I know I cleared it last summer... And what really stinks is that my boss is a great guy, We have known each other for 15+ yrs. I respect him totally, but he does not remember much if it does not pertain to a piece of machinery...If I can get on this ship this week without having a major breakdown it will be a miracle!!!!!!!!

Smooth traveling today to all.
I am printing my boarding pass for a early Thursday flight to Disney World. The buses leaving from Disneyworld are in no rush so we will probably be last. I would rather be there early.

Packing done except for the day bag.

Everyone is ready for me to leave to they can relax and not get alot of orders and lists of what needs to be done in the next eighteen days. The crew boss is leaving and they think it is time to slack. I love them dearly.

Morning all! Yep, another person who's been MIA for the last few days. Feeling the crunch BIG time at work right now. Too many projects to handle on a normal basis, but throw in a two and a half week vacation and things get kinda hinky... Been getting to work at 5am the last two days to try and knock out some of this stuff I need to get caught up on. Then leaving around 5 pm or so...FUN!

But today is my last day in the office and I leave at 3pm for a hair appointment! So I will be joining the ranks of some of you ladies with a fresh hair cut. But I won't be cutting it much shorter, or I wouldn't have any hair left! Just a trim and a thinning.

So excited that this trip is finally almost here. We got almost all packed up this weekend. Now we just need to stuff the formals into the last suitcase and button everything up for our 6:30am flight tomorrow. The pet sitter comes over tonight to go on our doggie walk with us and get her last-minute instructions. Then we need to get some of that ever-elusive SLEEP!

As a two-ton tessy, I'm really over the whole swimsuit delimma. For years, I won't even go out to the pool or beach. But I love swimming and it's good for my joints...then I started going to spas and fitness clubs with friends. Somehow, the this beached whale attitude of mine seemed alike folly.

Life is simply to short to deny yourself healthy pleasures. Besides, don't berate yourself. If you are anything like me, sometimes it feels like folks queue up and pay good money to give me a hard time. I bet Kelli has paid a fortune for the privilege. :P

So here's hugs to you.... Put on that swimming suit or better yet, celebrate the fact that you have an excuse to go out and get a new Tank-kini. LOL

Well as it turns out, I was called into the BIG meeting late yesterday afternoon, with much misrepresentation by my user. I will spare the details, only to say it was AWFUL. My management actually told us just to let it go... Bottom line, There will be a new user PM for a short duration, (the current user PM will still be there but won't control the decisions) and as a result of that decision, I will no longer be doing the project management for our group. It was made known to me that I did a great job with the project, but because they needed to give the user responsibilities to someone else, it was only fair that my repsonsibilities also be changed...

I am so very tired right now... :faint: and reeling from all that's happened for the past week... :confused: still taking the airboure... hoping to pack tonight.

We're not leaving 'til 7:55 on Sat AM. Right now, I'd like to get an earlier flight out, but then we'd have to get a room etc... Where will you be staying... at the port? Can't wait to see you! I felt this way when we left for the 10 day Christmas Cruise and I remember being on the ship and not feeling at all guilty for NEVER checking my email. It made me feel so much better!

FINALLY !!!!

One little ray of sunshine for the past 3 days. What comes walking into my lab but the cutest tiny baby snapping turtle. They must have just hatched in the last day or so, he/she was smaller than a quarter coin. And yes, they can bite right away, when I picked him up he hissed and then chomped my hand, no damage, he is too tiny. Just had the guys bring him down to the water, wish I could have kept it..

Okay, now it is time to get back to work...

Home tonight, will make decadent Pecan turtle double chocolate brownies for the parking lot party Saturday. I will vacuum seal then so they will be super fresh..

I am trying to book reservation for Paolo's online but have difficulty in choosing the date(s). Normally we try to find out our dinner rotation first and then book it so it won't coincide with special events in the dinning room (pirate's, formal, sem-formal night, etc.). Does anyone have a schedule or know when these nights will be? Since this will be a 14 days cruise, could we have 2 nights instead of 1 night at Paolo's?

Is it me or are the boards slow?

Packed twister and the bottle of Applekorn for drunk twister. Way too many pairs of shoes as well. Packed enough clothes for 14 days give or take a pair of socks.
Puppies get dropped off Friday on the way to the mousehouse at the puppy palace. other than that I just have to pick up yarn for a baby blanket I'm working on and I'm done. Yippee!

Called DCL a little while ago. Asked the question re: how early we are allowed to get to the Port and not stand outside on the street with our luggage and no knowing when we can check it - even tho we will not be able to check in and stand in line.

We can get there as early as 10:00 a.m. - that is when the terminal opens for us.

But we can go ahead and check our luggage and then wait to enter the terminal around 10:00 a.m.

I was advised that there will be "lots" of media people there - so I am sure that it will open before 10:00 a.m., that is my opinion.

Tried to get more information from the CM, but she was hesitate to say anything else. You can tell when they don't tell you something, as they keep talking.

The formal nights are Monday 5/16 and Thursday 5/26 (Cabo)
Semi Formal for Thursday 5/19 and Saturday 5/21
All subject to change of course... but the 5/16 one is probably a for sure... they usually always do the Captains reception on the night of the first day at Sea
Tropical Night = 5/18
Pirate Night = 5/23
Still only one dinner at Palo, One brunch and one High Tea. Good luck! Go back a few pages and check out the update, and if you read back a bit, you'll find Kay's calendar with all the nights, activities and lunch themes on it!

Christine and the middle DD and DS have been enjoying their time in WDW. Myself and the oldest DS and little DD are leaving soon. I had strict instructions from Christine to keep up with the news while she was away ... I don't think I missed anything (have printed off the What's Going On list for her review ;)).

I want to give my daughter an approximate window so HOPEFULLY she can sign on to those cams and download/ print a pic of us going thru. I have sent her links to both Miraflores and Gatun... I plan on emailing her from the ship when we enter so she can sign on and get them... but need to know how long she'll have. I'm assuming it will be a while... maybe 30 minutes or so... but I really have NO idea.

Hey Leslie, We take all three of the boys to Tailend Pet Resort and Spa. You can check it out at Tailend.net. They are the best we can find in the area and pretty good prices considering what everyone else charges. Word is out on them though..lol, they book up very quickly now.

My in-laws just went on a Panama Canal cruise (Princess) and I saved webcams pics for them. If I remember correctly, the ship will only be in full view of the webcam for approx. 15-20 minutes (30 minutes total if you want pics of just the front or back of the ship). That is for Gatun locks only (the Princess cruise did not go all the way through). I posted another website earlier the has 3 PC locks webcams, port canaveral and cabo webcams - http://www.kroooz-cams.com/custom-viewer.htm - I think this site has the best/fastest refresh. I kept saving pictures as the webcam refreshed and when you play them back in a slideshow it looks really cool - of course I'm easily amused!
