400 Boardwalk points on Ebay finished today at $65.34 a point without reaching the reserve. The top bidder also had another proxy bid on top of that. Wonder what the owner whats for his points? These points could have been purchased new from Disney in November 2000 for $57 each (67.00-10.00 magical beginings) with no closing costs. Is DVC an investment that gets better with age?

I'd say that $65/pt. is tooooooo much to pay, even with banked points. You can do much better through the two largest resale brokers cited on this site;) ;) ;) ;) ......

I think that was too high and that the bidder could do better.

The nature of ebay - you get all excited and spend more money than you need to about something you haven't looked into enough - but you've WON!

DVC has traditionally gotten "better with age" in that the value of your points increase in the resale market year by year. I suspect that as the end date of the lease becomes more important, this will change, but for right now 40 years is plenty far away.
