Elizabeth sell the stuff on Evilbay
We aren't set up to sell on EvilBay. That's why I didn't sell my SW credits. And from what DH said the stuff is bulky and heavy, so shipping it would be a nightmare.:scared:
He said there was a guy who won Nascar tickets to TX Motor Speedway who didn't want those, but DH didn't want them, either.

Craigs list
If push comes to shove I guess we could do that. I don't know what the brands or details are, so I have no idea how much the stuff would retail for. I suspect it would retail for FAR less than a flat screen TV. :headache:

Janet, Anne Marie, and Bernadette - it was lovely seeing you on the Codes board early this a.m. Why am I not surprised that we were some of the 1st people on it? If only I'd called before, instead of after my shower, maybe I wouldn't have such disheveled hair today. I was almost late for work after being on the phone for so long!
Anne Marie - for what it's worth, I'd be torn right along with you. With your group, I could see the 2 bathrooms and just more beds/space at Pop being a nice thing to have. At the same time, since you solely use Disney transportation, I could also see the benefits of the CR. Are you guys food court people? If so, I'd give the nod there to Pop - with the temp location of the CR's quick service area, they just don't have a ton of selection. Plus, I think the pools are themed better at Pop. And you might still have a bit of a hike to transportation from the wing rooms at the CR. Good luck with your decision!
I'm holding an AKL std. reservation for now. They didn't have the savannah view available, but they did have pool view. I never get lucky with upgrades, so I should just decide which one I'd be more interested in - the more I think about it, maybe pool view, just because then I'm more certain as to where the rooms are located, and it's only $10 more. I've had some std. views I didn't mind at the AKL, but I did have one once (just for 1 night) that was right in front of the bus stop. I was glad we weren't staying a while!
Funny, I'm kind of torn now with my Swan reservation. I didn't want to stay there initially (I still prefer a "Disney" resort), but I had gotten used to the idea of being close to Epcot during the F&GF, trying out one of their restaurants, plus the other Epcot-area resorts, etc. I also like that we would actually get frequent stay credits there with Starwood (when will Disney do something like this? ). And those Heavenly beds! Oh well, I have 2 weeks before I have to make a deposit on AKL and decide.
It was nice to see you too!!! No we are not food court people..Rarely use the foodcourts at all so that was my thinking too. I heard that some of the wing rooms can be quite a walk as well..too muc to think about!!!!
Ok for what my 2 cents is worth, I'd pick the swan for some of the reasons you mentioned. (starpoints, closeness to epcot for the F&GF, & easy transport to H.S. Also location to all the epcot & boardwalk restaurants.)
since you just said that you were trying to spend less money then you should absolutely stay at Pop. 2 rooms will be nice and you'll be at WDW...that's really all you need.Very true...but why can't I stop thinking about upgrading then? :rolleyes1
Anne Marie - like you mentioned - you could stay at BC for less than the rate at the CR! I know the AP rate there is $259/night for a standard view. Did you guys just want to try something new, or was there another reason that escapes me as to why it was Pop vs. CR?When I called they said only YC was available for my dates. I love my BC but since we are staying there for 12 days in August I figured we'd try something else for a shorter trip.
well I just made my down payment to WDW. Its official we are going to disney.
:yay: :yay: :yay:
DH just called. He is off today but he had to go in for a meeting (they do that to him ALL the time  ). They FINALLY got around to drawing for the prizes they were supposed to draw for on Super Bowl Sunday. Prompt bunch of folks, I tell ya'!
So the prizes were flat screen TVs, dSLR cameras (better than the one DH has now), a suite at a TX Rangers game, all sorts of other really good stuff. So what does DH win? A tent, a lantern and a camping grill. We HAVE a tent that nobody ever uses, we have a camping lantern, and we have 2 HUGE grills on our balcony which I am sure our neighbors just love. We need to get rid of one but DH isn't sure he can get it down the stairs by himself. Anyway, he didn't even bring the prizes home because he doesn't want them. He is hoping to get someone to trade with him, but I bet that won't happen. If the people who won the cameras don't want them they will sell them, not trade for camping equipment. I hate that DH works so hard and he always gets the short end of the stick. He got nothing at the Christmas party because they ran so LATE and so far off schedule, and now he gets nothing for busting his tail for Super Bowl. Kind of sucks.:sad2:
That does stink..Sorry..

I have not been getting much vibes lately, and it took me forever for me to make a guess on Jennifer's baby's. I will make my guess soon.
Which reminds me, there are only two days left to make your gender predictions for Hardman baby #3. ;)

I got an e-mail from Chase yesterday telling me about the ticket upgrade offer, and I got an e-mail from Disney today to let me know about AP rates. Seems like Disney is getting a little better about AP alerts. I put in all sorts of dates for March, April and May and never found any that were valid for AP rates on club level at AKL. We may end up just having to suck it up with rack rate in August. Glad it is only 3 nights!:rotfl:

I will catch up when I get home but wanted to give Anne Marie a few things to think about before she books CR.:lmao:
I stayed at the CR in Dec 06 and while the new rooms are beautiful they weren't all that "guest friendly". They have virtually no storage if you like to unpack.
I don't think staying in a wing room would be as convenient as staying in a tower room and with construction the fast food choices are limited.
The walk to MK was great BUT the monorail to Epcot took forever. I was spoiled by Poly when you could walk from TTC to Poly. At CR you have to change monorails at TTC going up and down the ramps and when coming home from Epcot at night it must add about 30 minutes when you have to make all those extra stops. I think there must be bus service to Epcot though. The bus service to MGM and AK wasn't that great-shares with at least Poly and sometimes GF and WL too.
I would save your money and stay at Pop.
Have you checked ASMusic? The rooms have been remodeled recently and look nice.
Good luck!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
I would also keep checking on Pop for AP.

Very interesting Bernadette, thanks for posting that info. Makes me feel better about staying with Pop. I did ask about the suites this morning but they had no AP rates for my dates..only AS Sports.

Karen, I am so sorry Shocker is having troubles. I hope the anti-inflammatory meds help!
Jen and I both have the same due date, July 11th (we're 20 weeks along), but obviously her baby girls are going to arrive a little sooner. :goodvibes
Prayers for Shocker, Karen!
A girl would make Alyssa very happy, Jen. Of course, she claims she'll tolerate another brother, too. ;)
Dinner was a hit...even Alyssa and Matthew inhaled the pork. I'm not sure if the 1/4 cup water was necessary, but the meat just fell apart. I thought it was a bit rich, but that could just be my palette after eating bland foods for days. Glynis, the pork tenderloin recipe you posted sounds delicious, too.
I'm doing one more load of laundry tonight, and then I'm calling it quits. I hope the AI girls are a little more exciting than the men were last night.
Lots of :wizard: that everyone is on the road to recovery! Have a good night DDA!

Free to a good home, my coloring books. I took out the pages I had colored, still plenty left for someone to enjoy.
4 Christmas ones (Dawn got them from her work, they passed them out to the kiddies at Christmas)
3 Winnie the Pooh
1 Precious Moments Angles
I still have 4 small coloring books, just downsizing as I don't color much anymore.
Heidi I'll take the Pooh ones from you.

Just ran out to check the lunar eclipse. Its alittle cloudy here so not the best view for it. The moon is beginning to go into our shadow (penundra) & will be at totality between 10pm & 10:51pn EST.
If you have a cloudless night where you are you can see Saturn to the moons left. we can't see it here, just the moon. The kids are so excited. The next lunar eclipse is not until December 2010.

Today, I feel like I'm almost back to the land of the living. After five days off, poor Kevin had to trudge off to work in terrible weather. I was relieved school was called off for Alyssa, giving me one more day to recoup. Unfortunately, I've been doing nothing but laundry. I had washed all the sheets before we left for my mom's, but I could still smell the sickness (gotta love heightened pregnancy senses ;) ), so I washed them all again. I still can't see my basement floor, since I'm a week behind on the regular loads. Fun, fun.
I'm looking forward to eating some real food for dinner. I'm trying out Chanon's pork tenderloin recipe. Smells yummy!
I tried my best to skim the last 60 pages, and it seems the theme has been we've all been sick! Thank goodness this is a short month, and hopefully, we will all have a much better (and warmer) March. :wizard: :wizard:

Amy, I predict the baby will be a boy. Or a girl. ;)
I think I got the Macy's thing sorted out. Apparently the online payment thing automatically sets the payment to go on the due date unless I specifically change it. That's what I get for paying bills when DS is distracting me. And the password for the store site is different than the one for the payment service. Stupid technology.:headache:
I went and had the air pressure in the tires checked because the car is pulling left. I think it is out of alignment, which will make DH really mad. I can't tell any difference since they put more air in the tires.:confused3 Then I went to early voting and stood in a REALLY long line. From there I went to the post office and stood in another line. Then I went to Marshall's to return a pair of shoes I bought for DS. From there I went to Ross (where I bought a pair of SHORTS! for DS:rotfl2: ) then to the grocery to grab some soup for lunch. Then it was time to get Princess from school.
Chris' work used to have a picnic each year and each employee won a prize. One year Chris' name didn't get in the hat and all the prizes were gone so they gave him the hat :sad2:

Very interesting Bernadette, thanks for posting that info. Makes me feel better about staying with Pop. I did ask about the suites this morning but they had no AP rates for my dates..only AS Sports.
I was thinking of 2 rooms at ASMu but it doesn't sound like they have those either.
:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: i woke up to mom calling the vet to get shocker in. she can barely and i mean barely walk. she tries to stand up and she just collapses. her back legs cant hold her weight. the vet said she is neurologically fine and he saw nothing on x-rays and felt nothing. she is my little soldier she isn't whimpering or crying. he gave us anti inflammatory and said if she isn't better in 3-5 days to call them and they would see her again. we talked to the agency i got her from and hey said maybe a chiropractor so we might see if that helps. i am just crushed. i don't wanna loose her yet and i don't want her in pain.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1::wizard: :wizard: I'm so sorry.

We are both feeling a bit better. Alan even managed to make it to work today, so I have the quiet house to myself. I'm pampering myself with tea and honey for my throat. It's still scratchy, but not sore. Thank heaven for Zicam!
Great news! :wizard:
congrats on the weight loss and the change in your lifestyle, Tia!
Ditto! :thumbsup2
Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. :goodvibes
Tia, Happy Birthday to Terra! The pictures you posted were great, and that is so cool that you customized the plates and cups! Congratulations on your weight loss, too.
Denise, I certainly hope you find some answers for John's loss of taste at his next appointment!
Lots of :cool1: for all the Disney trip planning, down payments, and airfare rates! I'm living vicariously through you all since our next trip isn't until January 2009!
Which reminds me, there are only two days left to make your gender predictions for Hardman baby #3. ;)
Hope everyone is having a great day! :wave2:
Glad you're feeling a bit better, Amy! I'm predicting princess: .
I tried this recipe on Sunday, and it was excellent! I'm highly recommending this one:
Cajun Pork Tenderloin with Garlic Butter
Dry rub:
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 pork tenderloins
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
In a small bowl combine dry rub ingredients. Rub thoroughly into the pork and let sit for 30 minutes. Grill or pan sear/oven finish until done - 170 degrees internal temp. Melt butter and stir in garlic powder. Slice tenderloin on the bias and pour garlic butter over.
I doubled the garlic butter, and it was heavenly! Not too spicy, but full of flavor, and very moist!!!
Wow - sounds yummy!
So Jim had a cold that messed with his equillibrium...he will not be dying any time soon. Maybe he'll listen to his wife????;) :lmao:

It was nice to see you too!!! No we are not food court people..Rarely use the foodcourts at all so that was my thinking too. I heard that some of the wing rooms can be quite a walk as well..too muc to think about!!!!
Ok for what my 2 cents is worth, I'd pick the swan for some of the reasons you mentioned. (starpoints, closeness to epcot for the F&GF, & easy transport to H.S. Also location to all the epcot & boardwalk restaurants.)
When I called they said only YC was available for my dates. I love my BC but since we are staying there for 12 days in August I figured we'd try something else for a shorter trip.
Yes, I'm still torn. I'm glad I have 2 weeks to make up my mind. I do like the idea of saving $60+ a night, though! Shoot, with that I could add the DDP! :rotfl: I did just read that the AKL is the "official" resort of the Minnie Marathon, so I'm asking what that means. I'm sure they'll be less disruptive than Pop Warner ;) , but if there's going to be a lot of "race" stuff around the resort that weekend, we might just stay with the Swan. I do love the AKL, though! Just wish it was savannah view.
Good luck as you still figure out your stay. Have you tried the Passholder website? You can play around with dates there, and see if you can get Pop or the CR to come up.
Have you checked ASMusic? The rooms have been remodeled recently and look nice.
True! We're going to try AsMu for 1 night before checking into the Swan or AKL since we arrive so late. Was able to get the $74/night rate on that one, too.

Chuck & I aren't usually lucky when it comes to that either. One year they gave out all kinds of cool electronic devices like tv's, stereos, etc. and Chuck ended up with a mirror/shelf/coat rack. I have to say that I love it now that we have the breezeway. At the time, I wondered what in the world we were going to do with it.
The mirror has a deer and trees etched in it. It is in our Disney "room". Katrina and I decided we needed to do something to Disneyfy it. We made Mickey ears for the deer. It turned out really cute.

I wish they did cash or gift cards, but they don't. And by drawing tickets instead of awarding prizes based on who exceeded their goals by the greatest % it really seems like it hurts morale.
We got a notice today that DH's bank card is going up to 23.99% APR on April 1! :scared1: We'll be clsoing that account. He didn't verify that closing it will freeze the current APR - he will have to call them back tomorow and make sure he understands all of the details. What a mess. :sad2: We've never been late, pay more than the minimum each month, and he has had that card for a long time. I guess those Budget board folks weren't joking about bank cards just kind of going postal for no reason!:scared:

Must be the different times of the year that we go. Just this past Jan. the stops around Riverside were fast, and there never seemed to be anyone waiting most of the time.
Also we always leave before park closing, so no longs lines to wait in then either.
We have the same experience at Riverside except for after EMH or when the park closes.

We saw part of it. It's so danged cold that we only stayed out for a little bit. We were out at almost totality. Very cool looking!

We went to get Heart Puppy, but he was gone since it was after Valentine's Day. We could have ordered him unstuffed online, but Terra decided that the St. Patrick's Day bear was even better.

Good morning, DDA! I guess I'm up for the day. I was hoping to go back to sleep after driving Phil, but concentrating to drive on sleet covered roads tends to wake one up a little. Then I got home and Rachel's school had not been cancelled yet. We've got 1/4-1/2" of icy stuff on the ground with more expected all day. :scratchin They ended up cancelling 3 minutes before she walked out the door. Guess that means we don't have MOPS today either, but I guess we'll see.
I'm going to go snuggle with my baby in the chair since she's up pretty early for her and still looking tired, so I'll catch you all soon.

I was worried about this last June as we drove to DL with our kids. I wrapped up little surprises from the dollar store for them to open at prearranged times in the car. This kept them surprised and we didn't have a whole lot of "are we there, yet?" I got them small toys, coloring books and crayons, new movies for the car, books, sudoku (for Katie), etc. It really helped!

Anne Marie - I was playing around with your dates last night. I did get some other deluxes to come up for you (BC, BWI), if I extended your dates out to the 2nd of May (you could book and then just cancel off the excess nights). I didn't have any luck with the values at all, though. It will be easier for you to do it via phone, rather than the website. Call CRO (your favorite people), give them the dates, and see if it's showing available. Tell them it's showing up on the web, but you'd rather book it by phone (I think the cancellation policies are different if you book it online - stricter).
Then later today, tomorrow, whenever, call them back, and have them remove the extra days off the reservation. I've done this several times in the past w/o issue. I think Disney sets aside rooms for certain lengths of stay - why, I don't know.
Good luck!!!!! Let me know how you fare!

Also, I was noticing yesterday on the AP site that I would plug in for a quote, and get 2 different prices to come up in some instances for the same resort - one version would have one cheaper rate across all days, and the other would charge a $50 premium on the weekends. Don't know why this is either, but go for the cheaper one if possible! :thumbsup2

Then later today, tomorrow, whenever, call them back, and have them remove the extra days off the reservation. I've done this several times in the past w/o issue. I think Disney sets aside rooms for certain lengths of stay - why, I don't know.
Good luck!!!!! Let me know how you fare!
So they won't say that I have to have those min dates to get the offer if I try to cancel? Sorry for all the questions, I never did that before.TY

:thumbsup2
Oh yes I did see that with BWI...the 1nd offer had $259 for all the days.

I haven't had any problems doing so in the past. If I were you, I'd call them, and have them hold the reservation (don't cancel your Pop ones just yet). Then call them back later, and see if you can remove the dates. If they give you any problems, then you still have your Pop reservations.
Good luck! :wizard: :wizard:

We got a notice today that DH's bank card is going up to 23.99% APR on April 1! :scared1: We'll be clsoing that account. He didn't verify that closing it will freeze the current APR - he will have to call them back tomorow and make sure he understands all of the details. What a mess. :sad2: We've never been late, pay more than the minimum each month, and he has had that card for a long time. I guess those Budget board folks weren't joking about bank cards just kind of going postal for no reason!:scared:
Yikes! :scared1: I really do hate some credit card companies. :sad2:
We went to get Heart Puppy, but he was gone since it was after Valentine's Day. We could have ordered him unstuffed online, but Terra decided that the St. Patrick's Day bear was even better.

Very cute! Happy birthday to Terra!
We were in bed watching TV, so we didn't see the eclipse.
We couldn't see it either - way too cloudy. :sad2:
Yikes - stay warm and safe!

I forgot to tell you, yesterday when I picked up Nicholas he was trying to bargain with me to change his punishment. He wanted to give up some other things in order to be able to use the computer. It seems one of his friends was going to chat with him on Webkinz. My response....nope. The purpose of being punished is to lose things that are important to you. Hopefully he will remember this. He is counting down the days until he is back to the electronic age!
Good for you, Mom! Sounds like you picked just the right punishment for him. :thumbsup2

Lindsay,
Ok I put in the dates 4/24-5/2 & I got BWI!!!! Now how do you book & cancel later?? How long do I wait to cancel the last few days?
$259 for weekdays & $300 for weekend.
What I have done is this:
Go online and book what you want with the extra dates included. Pay the deposit. Get and print your confirmation. Call CRO tomorrow and tell them you need to modify an existing ressie. If they get snarky hang up and call back. The girl who was doing my ressie in December was a snot, but when I called back the CM I got was VERY nice and I COULD have modified the Pop ressie to be whatever nights I wanted with the AP rates. Once you have your BWI ressie set then cancel the Pop ressie. :)

Because last time she drove all of us crazy asking if it was time to go yet. We are driving most likely and I think she might drive me  on the drive asking if we are their yet.
So now she'll drive you crazy with "where are going? are we there yet?";)
WOW the eclipse is soooo cool!!!!
It is almost covered. Hal was just saying he hopes our oldest son was able to get pictures of it.DH tried but didn't do too well. I was too comfy in bed to go out in the cold to try.
Bernadette, did you see that someone was able to get an AP discount on the family suites? Can't remember the exact rate, but saw it on one of the threads this morning. Thought you might be encouraged by that.I would think lots of Minnie Marathoners would just mean less crowds on the busses.
I did see the AP discount on the FS but it is the same as AP discount on 1 value room so my 20% off with AAA will beat that. I don't want to pay a premium on my room to get the DDP at least I don't think so. I think 14 days for DDP would be way too much BUT...with 3 kids at just 9.99 per day (for the last year...) it might be worth it???
We went to get Heart Puppy, but he was gone since it was after Valentine's Day. We could have ordered him unstuffed online, but Terra decided that the St. Patrick's Day bear was even better.

Is anyone ordering from Disney shopping anytime soon?
Not if I want to remain married. :rolleyes1 I went a little overboard on the pins.
Try going from 2 to 4! Actually, it wasn't too bad! Alan and I both have 2 hands so 4 hands, 4 kids, it all works out!
THAT would be a good reason for me to look for another job! :rotfl2:

I haven't had any problems doing so in the past. If I were you, I'd call them, and have them hold the reservation (don't cancel your Pop ones just yet). Then call them back later, and see if you can remove the dates. If they give you any problems, then you still have your Pop reservations.
Good luck! :wizard: :wizard:Sounds good.
Sorry you aren't having better luck. Give it a few days for the hub-bub to wear off and try again. :wizard:I will. Thanks
:lmao:
If UPS should happen to deliver. please let me know, I would love one myself! :rotfl:Ok I'll let ya know!;)
I never did answer this...yes I kept AP at Pop with DDP. It was $803 for 6 nights. Sounds pretty good to me and I have all my ADR's made. I think it will work out well.
I thought Daniel was your gifted one? Even Joe is smart enough not to want that.:lmao:
Yes, sounds good. I am jealous you get to go so much.
Yeah, I would have thought that too. The girls gang up on him & sometimes he feels left out. He thinks a new boy would play with him. I don't think he has thought it out that a baby would destroy all his legos on the floor!
She is physically fine, but still having a hard time dealing with her miscarriage. She has stopped reading along because the topics of the day have become too painful.Kristine, we are all thinking of you.:grouphug:
Me, too! :lmao: I THOUGHT about making a smart-aleck comment like that, but I refrained (which is rare for me.) Then Bernadette popped off with it!:rotfl2:
Anne Marie, I think Daniel's perception might be a bit off.;)
Just out of curiosity, has anyone stayed at CBR? It looks very spread out, but beautiful. We stayed there in 2003 & loved it. The kids still talk about it. We had room 2525 in Martinique right near the food court. We had a corner room with 2 windows facing the lake & we could see the Epcot fireworks from our room. That was a very magical trip.
I had a good visit with the Dr today. Even the smash and bash went well.
Since I have gone from 170lbs to 142lbs, I knew my thyroid medicine would change and I got a new prescription in January. The Dr wants me to get another test done next month because he thinks my dosage amount will drop again. :cool1: :cool1:
I only shrank a teeny tiny little bit :lmao:Glad all went well. I get my smash & bash next week!:scared:
I think maybe Joe somehow understands that being the only boy in the family is what makes him special. Lizzy is the oldest, Emma is the youngest and he's the boy. I think another pregnancy would kill me and I'm way too old now anyways. I am just now getting some of my memory/brain function back after having Emma.
Oh aint that the truth!!!! I feel the same way! JMHO going from 1 to 2 is earthshattering..Going from 2 to 3..very easy.

They wouldn't let me book a 2nd ressie when I tried to book bounce back in Jan. They said one or both of them would get deleted.:confused3
Ahh, didn't even think about it being the same discount as the regular value room. Yep, your AAA discount will likely be better! I couldn't even begin to fathom two weeks of the DDP. :crazy2:
That's interesting - I've never had that problem. Of course, I only hold 2 reservations for a couple of hours at most, and the CM's never seem to notice it.
Another way around this, Anne Marie, would be to get a TA involved, I would think. That way, they have 1 reservation, and Disney has the other. Then you have time to make up your mind.
If I had any other kid going with me I would share a room at AKL with you but I really need a food court with the pickiest kid in the world.
It does help that I really enjoy Pop.
Have you looked at Mara's offerings? I think they've tamed them down as far as African-themed, and of the deluxes I've stayed, I think it has the best quick-service. Zebra domes!
She is physically fine, but still having a hard time dealing with her miscarriage. She has stopped reading along because the topics of the day have become too painful.

Oh no! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for Shocker and Karen.
Well my weather bug was going off when I got home. We are doomed! :sad2:
Yikes! Guess it's going to get bad? Stay warm!
Just out of curiosity, has anyone stayed at CBR? It looks very spread out, but beautiful.
I have. It will always have a special place in my heart because it was our first on-site resort. We really enjoyed it, and I've been wanting to get back there. I actually considered it for May, but they're doing a big construction project on the main theme pool through mid-September (right near the main stores and food court), so I think I'll wait to return until it's complete. We thought it was beautiful, and the room was very comfortable. We didn't mind that it was spread-out - doesn't give you the perception that there are so many other guests around.
ETA: And it has the largest moderate rooms! I think their rooms are only about 4 sq. ft. smaller than the AKL and WL. Bigger than the values and the other moderates.

Elizabeth is right, it really is a double-edged sword. One reason I didn't share my pregnancy with you all sooner is out of respect for all the IVF stuff Jen and Kristine were going through. I know Jen didn't post her ultrasound pictures right away, too.
I often feel like my problems are minimal in comparison to what others are going through, so I tend not to post too many personal issues. A few weeks ago, I typed out a very long post about my emotions and struggles with weaning Matthew. I ended up just deleting it.
I know our thread is for sharing it all, joys and heartbreak, but I tend to overthink things. Plus, I've done such a crappy job of keeping up with all the posts since Matty was born, that I just "keep swimming." :)
And now I'm rambling, so I'll hit submit and bring in the groceries now. :teeth:
   You know no one here would begrudge you any venting! Gosh knows we've all done it a time or two. Sometimes, you just need to spit it all out, and have your feelings validated.

And just in case you don't meet the transition from 2 to 3 with flawless ease like Bernadette, I think going from 2 to 3 is hard!;)
I thought part of it was the Lizzy was only 19 months old when Joe was born and Joe was 2 years when Emma was born. Those extra few months were huge. Lizzy was a May baby so I wasn't prepared for my first winter baby. When I had Emma I had already experienced a winter baby.
Thanks Elizabeth. If it was just the 5-6" of snow no biggie, but they are calling for 2" of ice also. :headache:
YIKES! Didn't we all agree we were DONE with winter?

I see now.....Emma is such a tomboy that she wanted to play with all of Joe's toys so Joe knows what it is like to have a pesky little brother.:rotfl:
I see I'm not alone on the 1 to 2 vs 2 to 3.:thumbsup2

I don't see me doing the meal plan in August. Part of what appealed to me in May was that I could "get the numbers to work" even doing a 2 credit meal which means we'll be doing 5 TS meal over the 7 days.
I just looked at Mara's offerings and they are missing 3 key items-hot dog, PB&J, and chicken nuggets. Emma doesn't really like chicken strips strips because they have pepper in the coating. I didn't see anything she would eat (other than fries and desserts) at Mara.
I don't think I told you guys that over the weekend Emma got that wierd rash (I think it was some viral thing) that Joe & Lizzy each had. She had it on her shoulders and was quite itchy. I asked her if she wanted to take some benedryl for it and she said YES. I gave her the choice of liquid or chewable and she chose chewable and took it quite happily!:woohoo: Now I think she would actually take tylenol or motrin chewables if she had a fever.
Maybe her diet will expand someday too.

Janet-I haven't gotten an email on AP rates yet. Haven't gotten my Mickey Monitor either.:sad2:
I did get an email on my new package. Did your just show the total amount-nothing broken down?
I've never stayed at CBR but doesn't it have prefered rooms? I would stay at POR again ONLY if they had prefered rooms. I like that the value resorts are compact and have "straighter" paths. I like the that the value resorts have queues for the bus stops and I like that the value resorts have hot dogs, chicken nuggets and PBJ's. I really like that all the food is in the food court at Pop (rather than the larger sized items in the gift shop) and I really, really like the frozen coke at Pop!
I do like the theming at the moderates but I also enjoy the whimsy of the value resorts.;)

Now here's where I give Pop 100% score..the bus queues!! That is the way all bus lines at all resorts should be. We had an issue at POR with a family sticking an umbrella in our face & in front of us so we could not get on the bus (we were the only people there for a long time & first on line) They had a boatload of people get on while the umbrella was across our chests & then we got on & there were no seats. That trip was not so magical. All lines should have a queue like Pops! Love it!!!!
Hope Emma is feeling better.

Amy, I am sorry you are having a hard time! Might as well post and get it off your chest! And yet we still love ya! I can understand Kristine needing to distance herself from the thread right now. I hope and pray that all will be well for her and Bill.
I hope that you and Jennifer know that we are all thrilled beyond belief for you guys. Kristine is, too. It's just hard for her to deal with right now. I remember when we were going through all our infertility crap. I just wanted to burrow into my blankets and never surface again. I hated Mother's Day! I literally would curl into a ball and wish to die! Luckily, I had a great husband, that would take me to Vegas to celebrate being able to do what we wanted, when we wanted.
In short, don't stop posting about your trials and troubles, because we still are family! We may not respond, but we still love you and want to share in your joys and sorrows!
I can understand Kristine needing some distance right now. I know we all try to be as sympathetic/empathetic as possible to one another, but sometimes it's just easier to turn off the computer, because real life is hard enough!
I think Kevin and I had been trying to get pregnant for five months (it took seven months to conceive Alyssa) when two of my students decided to openly discuss their recent abortions. I wanted to strangle them! Instead I got on their case that they weren't working on their assignment. It wasn't easy dealing with the pregnant girl who sat in the front row either.
   You know no one here would begrudge you any venting! Gosh knows we've all done it a time or two. Sometimes, you just need to spit it all out, and have your feelings validated.

I was just truly hoping Matty would wean himself, because he's always been in such a hurry to grow up! It was hard to do the "cutting off," because he obviously wasn't ready to let go of that aspect. I knew I was making the right decision (there was no way I was going to nurse a toddler and infant), but his crying was heartbreaking. Kevin took over putting him to bed, and now a few weeks later, Matty goes down for a nap without too much of a fuss.
I still feel like I'm rushing his babyhood, being pregnant again, but I keep telling myself two years between kids is just fine. Hormones!

Anne Marie - I love the bus queues at Pop, too! I am always shocked by the "herd" mentality at Deluxes where nobody has any respect for the families who were there FIRST!

I don't think he cared. We were already moving in that direction because my goal was to nurse for 6 mos. and then move exclusively to the bottle.

Emma wouldn't take any kind of medicine at all and had perfected vomiting anything back up that we mananged to force into her. I am really relieved that she'll now take something. She's actually pretty good right now-except for a cold. Each of the kids had a rash that was very itchy but only lasted about an hour after they took the benedryl. So now she'll drive you crazy with "where are going? are we there yet?";)
well she will be asleep when we leave, we are planning on leavingaround 2AM, when she wakes up I have movies for her and some suprises planned. So hopefully not to
I was worried about this last June as we drove to DL with our kids.

She'll be 9 in May.
I guess I should tell you guys that she had a playdate with a girl yesterday who is an only child that turned 8 on New Year's Eve so she's in 2nd grade not 3rd grade with Lizzy. The girl lives a few miles away but last summer her really nice grandmother rented the house next to us.
One day the girl told Joe he should cut off his organ and give it to her.:scared1:
We told Lizzy that we wouldn't tolerate her friends talking to her brother like that and nothing else like that happened. I've only met her mom a few times and she seems nice-not like a fruitcake. I don't think I've met her father.

The grandmother is coming back this summer too.:scared1: :scared: :headache:That's very strange.
I'm sorry, Bernadette, I don't have any advice. Maybe take this opportunity to talk with Lizzy about anatomy and so forth. She obviously is getting curious, I suppose. But it would really bother me wondering where she got the idea to draw it, and draw it the way she did. Hopefully she will communicate with you. :wizard: :grouphug:

Not that cheap, is it? Also not during a time I am planning to be at WDW.
Any advice?
Lizzy drew a nasty picture of Joe that was anatomically correct with a nasty worded tatoo. Problem is it doesn't look like Joe as he's never been circumcised and she's never seen DH naked. SO...where did she get it?
I asked her but she insisted she's seen him. I told her that wasn't true and she said she's seen other naked boys. Where? Just out. I told her she could think about telling me the truth and I would think about her punishment is she doesn't.
I just don't know what to do.:confused3
Good heavens! :scared1: I have no clue where to go with that one!:rotfl2: I know it's not funny, but I have to kind of laugh.
I know in DS's preschool they had a bathroom in the classroom and I saw PLENTY of naked bottoms because they would leave the door open. A former charge was just hopeless at toileting and would walk around with his pants at his ankles at school. But those kids are much younger than Lizzy.
In my almost 15 years of changing diapers I have found that boys' parts tend to splay out and not look like much to anyone passing by, so I am not going withthe diaper story, either.
I don't know if you will gain anything by punishing her for not telling you how she knows, and if she knows what naked boys look like for a bad reason then you don't want to scare her out of telling you. Maybe sit down with her one on one and tell her you are NOT angry, that you were surprised. Then tell her you want to know who has parts like that (that she has seen) and assure her that she won't be in trouble for telling you.
From there you can tackle that it isn't appropriate to draw naked renditions of your younger brother, accurate or not.;)

OK just how stupid does she think I am? She tried to tell me she did it by seeing Joe and I explained to her that wasn't right since he doesn't look like that. Now she tells me she saw a little boy getting his diaper changed. So she's seen Joe naked something like 500 times and she draws it like a little boy she saw one time?????
I told her I didn't believe her so she went to her room.:scared:
I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this. Sometimes it can be innocent but you can never be too careful.

Well the snow has started. We are supposed to have 1-3 inches by morning and then ice/wintry mix all day tomorrow. I wish they would just cancel school and get it over with. I just hope it doesn't last through Saturday, since Nicholas has his 1st Penance. I don't want to chance the fact that it gets rescheduled for a weekend that he is with his dad. :headache:

My first reaction when I saw the drawing of a naked Joe with an "I love my organ" tatoo was to laugh (not in her sight). But the more I think about it the more worried I am about where she got the idea. I asked her how she knew how to spell the word-I would have thought she'd use "pea" but she didn't respond. She just shuts down and you can't make her talk.
I did tell that if she told me the truth she would NOT be punished.

Sounds like she needs a trip to Disney. If she went in August she would have lots of time to plan the trip and the planning can be half the fun!;)

I don't think she has actually seen an older naked boy. I think she has seen someone elses drawing of one.
It is a strong coincidence that she spent the morning with the only one of her friends who had been inappropriate in the past.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone stayed at CBR? It looks very spread out, but beautiful.
We have... twice. Both times we requested and got rooms in the Jamaica section and loved it there.

In first grade DS got in trouble for telling one of his classmates to ADD that particular piece to one of his drawings. And contrary to all the "expert" advice to always teach your children the proper anatomical names for things we never used the "p" word so I didn't even know DS knew that word. And this was a small private school! Maybe the boys in her class have been drawing and/or saying things like that and she just doesn't realize it isn't the sort of thing one discusses in polite company.
I think Susan really misses working. I know she misses the income. I don't want to push the Disney issue because I really don't know where they are financially. Her DH was able to transfer to the place that bought out his old employer, but she said he is working crazy hours and she is worried he will catch the flu from the boys.

This has been a crazy, crazy week. Monday I had the day off but had to take Becky to Green Bay for her table test consultation. That is a two hour drive one-way on a good day. It wasn't a good day but we only added about 1/2 hour each way.
She will have the actual test next Wednesday. She has to get a needle in her groin. :scared1: We have to be there at 9am, the test will be around 11am and last an hour or so. After it is done, she will have to rest 4 hours in the hospital room. So that is a whole day gone for me.
I took Katrina to the dermatologist today for her final appointment before being put on accutane. We also did some shopping for the pirates & princess party. Katrina has a really cool skirt and a sash. We found a shirt but we aren't sure it is going to work.
The last couple of days have been crazy, crazy, crazy for work. I have put in at least 30 hours of overtime this week and had that much last week.
I have to take Mya over to my mom's tomorrow as well. That is 3 hours one way. I was going to take her next week but mom is heading to my sister's and won't be back until a couple days after we leave for our trip.

We leave for Marquette next Thursday night. We fly out Friday morning at 9:30am. We are staying in a studio at OKW. I have received the shirts & earrings from Deb. The shirts are adorable. The girls are thrilled. They will be wearing them at Animal Kingdom. The smaller one is a little tight on Katrina but works. Becky hasn't tried the other one on yet but she is a little bigger boned so I think it will work out well. If not, it works on me (a little tight but I could get away with it since I'm not well endowed like the creator). :lmao: Katrina will be wearing one pair of the earrings and I'll be wearing the others.
I ordered Becky's princess dress - she got an Arwen dress (from Lord of the Rings). I ordered a pirate outfit for myself and a pirate vest for Chuck. They should arrive on Tuesday. I hope they all fit. :scared1:
