We just returned from our stay 1/31-2/6. We ate at a few new places and some oldies. Most places I have pictures for with a couple of exceptions. I can't tell you how many times I heard and what are we eating today and where. Hopefully these will help others make their decisions as I often found seeing pictures of food help make our decisions.

Let me start with the cast.
Me: likes most things and will try new things.
DH: likes his meat and potatoes but will sometimes try something new.
DD7: likes your basic kids foods, but enjoys a good salad, brocoli and loves her some desert.
dd4: definately the picky one, better have chicken or else.
dmom: Likes most foods
dDad: likes everything pretty much

The places I will be reviewing are:
Table Services:
Chef Mickey's dinner post 11
Princess Storybook Breakfast post 18
Crystal Palace dinner post 36
Boma's dinnerpost 53
1900 Park Fare dinnerpost 56
Cape May breakfastpost 54
Crystal Palace breakfastpost 57

Counter Service:
Roaring Forks post 2
Toy Story Pizza post 37
Electric Umbrellapost 31
Flame Tree Barbque post 38
Columbia Harbor Housepost 32

Ratings will be:

First up: Roaring Forks
After being up since 5:00am to catch our flight, when we finally get to our resort it is 3:00. We are all starving so we decided to grab something to eat to share as we have dinner ressies at CM for 6:20.

For my family, we get two pepperoni pizza meals with a mickey rice krispie treat, chocolate chip cookie and a coke and diet coke.

Parents got a pepperoni pizza meal with a chocolate muffin and soda.

The pizza's here are rectangular in shape and are cut into 4 pieces. The dough is a thin crust, not like the pizza at Toy story. They were very filling and easy to share. dd's ate the cookie and rice krispie treat. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of these because we were so hungry, but we all felt they were good. Here is pics of dd's enjoying desert though.

Chef Mickey's Dinner
Now, let me start this by saying we have eating here before and loved it. Last time we came to WDW, we didn't get to go here, so we knew this was a must do for us this time around.

We had a 6:20pm adr, we arrived at 6:10pm and were given a pager. We sat at the outer rim and ordered a drink. I had a Mango Margarita. If you like Mango, you will love this drink because that's all you could taste. I didn't care for it. DH had an apple martini and liked it. Sorry no pics. I know bad. Our pager goes off and we are off to our table. We are seated in the first section, which seems like you are out of the way of everything. Oh, we skipped the photo op this time. Now on to the food:

I go and help dd's fix their plates: dd7 got an apple, cantelope, honeydew, cucumbers, cheese, muffin and mickey mac&cheese.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0101.jpg
dd4 had pizza and cantelope
My Plate:
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0098.jpg

which was cheese tortellini, parmesan mashed potatoes, oven roasted turkey breast, Tamarind Glazed Salmon, chicken, Mickey Cheese Ravioli and Marinara Sauce, potatoes au gratin
DH plate: which consisted of mashed potatoes with gravy, prime rib, salmon, rice and potates au gratin.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0100.jpg
DD's didn't eat much, I thought the turkey was dry, but the tortellin and mashed potatoes were really good. The marinara sauce was to tart for me, I like a more sweet red sauce, so I didn't care for it. Nothing else stands out for me either. DH said his was okay, but nothing great. The parents said theirs were okay, but again nothing special.

Deserts were:
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0106.jpg
cheesecake, carrot cake, key lime pie, brownie, and chocolate mouse mickey on oreo cookie. DD and I split these. They were good for desert, I enjoyed the cheesecake, the chocolate mouse was to bitter. DD4 had vanilla ice cream from the sundae bar, but she was almost done before I could get a pic.

Characters were: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy & Pluto. They each came to our table, but didn't spend much time and were not as playful as they have been other places.

Overall: The food was okay, nothing special. I remember the food being much better here before. The character interaction was just average. Even the dd's were not impressed with this meal. We will probably skip this next time or maybe try breakfast. Cost would have been: $186.00(tip was $27.00 18%) Used 6 TS credits

Thanks for all the comments.
Now onto PSB:
For this meal it is just me, my two dd's and my mom. DH & dad ate at WCC for breakfast and skipped the princesses experience. How could they?

Our ADR was 9:05 and we were seated at 9:10. We were greeted by Belle in her yellow gown for photos, which they come around for you to purchase. I know this is changing soon. Our waitress comes by and brings out juice and coffee and explains the cold bar and she will bring out the hot plate. So off we go to the cold bar.
On the cold bar there is fruit, salmon, danishes, cheese etc. Here's my plate
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0119.jpg
I had cantelope and honeydew which I ate before I remembered to take a pic and a danish with some jam and cream cheese (yummy), pineapple and strawberries. DD's both had some fruit and a cinnamon roll.
Next the hot plate:
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0120.jpg
Those potatoes are the best. I could eat those any day. The eggs were good, not wet, not dry and the sausage and bacon was good. Did I mention those potatoes? They were that good.

Ariel, Aurora, Mulan and Snow White all came around. Ariel was so funny, she talked so fast and was so entertaining. And we were so excited to see her with legs. Although, she was going swimming with flounder later that day. Mulan didn't have much of a personality, but maybe that's just how she is. But who we really came here to see was Snow White for dd4, who adores her. Snow White was really sweet and tried to hold her hand, but that wasn't going to happen. DD is very shy.

Sorry for the delay, but as I promised
Electric Umbrella

I really wanted to eat at Sunshine Seasons, but there was a veto and I lost. Dh just did not think dd would eat a drumstick, okay she eats chicken on the bone all the time at home, we just take it off the bone for her. Boy was I dissappointed, I really wanted to go to the dessert counter here. I had seen it in so many reviews and knew what sandwich I wanted and oh the choices for dessert. I know I shouldn't plan my meal around dessert, but come on its vacations and I love a good dessert. Instead it was Electric Umbrella for us.

DH & I both got Bacon double cheeseburgers with fries and cheesecake with strawberry topping for dessert with a coke and a diet coke.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0131.jpg
dd7 got the kid's Mac & cheese with carrots, fries and a sprite.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0133.jpg
dd4 got kid's chicken nuggets, grapes, fries and a sprite.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0132.jpg

The burgers here were good. They are your typical disney burgers and everyone enjoyed them. I only ate half of mine, because dd7 took one bite of her Mac & cheese and refused to eat it. She did not like it at all, I tasted it and it tasted like prepackaged stuff, with a slight aftertaste. I really couldn't blame her. Half of a burger was plenty for me. Both dd's ate the part of the cheesecakes. They were really good. We opted not to put the strawberry sauce on top, we just don't care for it. It comes in a separate container. We would definately eat her again.

Cost. 39.11

Columbia Harbor House

I have really been wanting to try this place and this trip we finally made it here. We knew going in, we would be splitting this meal. The place was really crowded, but the had several registers open and passing menus so you knew what you wanted when it was your turn. I ordered and dh went to find us a table. We ended up sitting upstairs, which was fine.

Here what we ordered:
Me & dd7: BLT salad with chicken with chocolate cake
dh & dd4: Captain's special with fish & chicken with fries and chocolate cake

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0148.jpg

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0149.jpg

The salad is a pretty large salad. It was your basic salad with fried chicken nuggets on top, eggs, tomatoes, bacon and onions. It was very tasty and dd loved it. She loves a good salad, so she was happy to eat here. The chicken had a really good flavor.

DH & DD4 really enjoyed there meal as well. I tasted the fish and it was good, nothing special but at least it gave us some variety.

Both dd's ate the chocolate cake, what dd4 didn't finish I did. It was a prepackaged cake, but it was moist. If you like chocalate cake you would enjoy it.

We will definately come back here again. This is probably our new place to eat in MK>

Sorry for such a long delay! With dd's competitive dancing, it has taken over our lives. SO, I'm back to get these reviews finished. So here we go again.

Crystal Palace: Dinner
This is one of our favorite places to eat. It did not disappoint.
I had garden salad, pasta salad, mussels, adobe pulled pork, smoked bacon w/ asaigo cream sauce, salmon & mahi mahi. The smoked bacon with cream sauce use to be chicken. I prefered it with the chicken. I'm glad I have the recipe, because I sometimes make this dish. I wish they had not changed it. The salmon is one of my fav's here.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0208.jpg
dd's ate pizza, salad & broccoli
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0214.jpg
This is the only pic of desserts I have. I could have swore I took more.
DD loves her desserts. She had strawberry cheesecake, peanut butter cake (which was dry) choc. mousse, and ice cream. They also had coconut flan (this was the best dessert we had all trip, wish I had some now), carrot cake, tiramisu, cookies and ice cream.

The character interaction here is great. They came around at least twice. If you have never been, the do a parade around the restaraunt with the characters.

Toy Story Pizza Planet:
We are always less than impressed with Hollywood Studios dining options. This year we decided to try Pizza Planet.
We got two Woody Meals and split between the four of us. It was definately enough food for our family and we didn't finish everything.
This meal comes with a pepperoni pizza, drink, garden salad and we got one choc. chip cookie and one Mickey krispie treat.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0243.jpg

Flame Tree Bar-b-que

Youngest dd was sick of chicken nuggets and the other kids offerings, so she decided she wanted some cut up fruit. So, while dh was in line ordering our food, I went to a market right around the corner and found some fruit.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0340.jpg

We both got the Barbque chicken salads. It is a green salad with cut up barbque chicken in it. It has a vinegarette dressing on it. We also got key lime pie and chocl. cake, coke and a water.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0339.jpg

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0341.jpg

Oldest dd was also sick of chicken but decided to share my salad. This was a good salad and we enjoyed it. I would definately get it again. We too, were tired of burgers and such. It was also really warm this day and this salad was cool and just what we needed.

I'm finally going to finish these tonight. Sorry for the delay.
Boma's.
This is probably our favorite place to eat and we go back each trip. Some of the food is different, but they have some of the best food on property. There is even enough for the kids to find to eat.

For the food:
I love the soups at Boma's. I tried 3 this time(Potato smoked bacon soup, seafood gumbo and mulligatawny). The potato soup was really good, but I really like the mulligatawny. It is a sweet soup, but really good.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0359.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0358.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0357.jpg

I also tried the prime rib ( they have more than one rare or med. well), potatoes with afritude, salmon with a coconut curry sauce, italian sausage, and hummus (roasted red pepper, and I forget what the other was). The salmon was the best we had all week, and the hummus was really good. The prime rib was also good. I also had couscous.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0362-1.jpg

Desserts: They have some of the best desserts. Zebra domes, pineapple upside down cheesecake, coconut tiramisu, fruit tart. They also have cookies, brownies, fruit. I loved all the desserts we tried, but then again I am a dessert junkie. I love their coconut tiramisu.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0363-1.jpg

Dd's ate corn on the cob, chicken, spaghetti, fruit and of course dessert.

Once again Boma's did not dissappoint. I can't wait to go back. It's a nice break from the regular food you get everywhere. The spices they use are not so overwhelming. Anyone should be able to find something to eat here and leave satisfied. My parents loved this place. THis was the first time they went and voted it our best meal.

Cape May Breakfast

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time and we finally made it. I love breakfast food, but we don't eat a lot of it. Dh isn't that big about breakfast, but he does indulge me sometimes. So on to the food.
There is a big buffet of food here. There is a yogart bar which is really nice, cereal and fruit. They also have sausage, bacon, blinis, omelots, biscuits and gravy, mickey waffles, breakfast pizza, potatoes, scrambled eggs. So you name it they pretty much have it.
Here's what I had: breakfast pizza, potatoes, omelet, blini, sausage, bacon and biscuit w/gravy. Orange juice to drink. I had to try these blinis I had read so much about. I didn't really care for it. The bacon was good, not overcooked but not undercooked. The pizza was really good.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0368.jpg
dd#2 plate: fruit loops, bacon, biscuit and mickey waffle. Juice
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0369.jpg
dd#1 plate: fruit loops, watermelon, cantelope, sausage, bacon, eggs and juice
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0370.jpg

This was a good breakfast and I'm glad I tried it. We probably won't do it again, just because of the hassle getting to it. If we were staying at the Beach Club, I would definately eat there again. The characters were good, except for Dale. We had to wait a long time for him and finally had to ask for him so we could leave.

1900 Park Fare Dinner:
This is one of the places that gets mixed reviews. We had eaten here before the changes, and thought it was okay then, nothing special but dd's wanted to go back here to see the mice. Well I told them about the changes in characters and they still wanted to go. So I booked it. It's for the kids right, not what we want to eat. lol

I will say the food is definately just okay, but we left full. The entertainment on the other had is priceless. More on that in a minute. First the food:

The food is set up in pods for different countries. I tried the ceasar salad, prime rib, salmon, chicken marsala, paella, and pasta salad. The ceasar salad here is really good. Everything else was fair.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0398.jpg

DD#1 plate: This was the most she ate the whole trip. She absolutely loved this place. Not agood pic, but she had: salad (lots), pizza, brocolli, paella
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0400.jpg
DD#2 plate: pizza, chicken, corn and mac & cheese
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0399.jpg

Desserts: DD and I split these as she is a dessert junkie like her dear mom. Key lime pie, cheesecake, fruit tart, bread pudding and chocolate mousse. The desserts were really good. The mousse was bitter as some chocolate can be, so we didn't care for it.
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/2lilprincess/Disney2008/IMGP0405.jpg

Now some pics of the stepsisters. They were a hoot. They cut up with the tables alot and were really funny. My dd's loved them even though dd2 would not talk to them at all. The stepmother was great. She's not mean, just not warm and cuddly. Cinderella and Prince Charming dance together in the middle dining room. So unless you are seated there you may not be able to see them and would have to get up. Prince Charming was very charming and handsome and Cinderella was sweet. As you can see from the pics they are quite hilarious and very in character.

Crystal Palace Breakfast:
We have eaten here for dinner, but I really wanted to try breakfast and the breakfast lasagna. So on our last morning we went. We had a 8:20 adr and entered the park empty which is always great. After we ate we went on its a Small World and received Dream Fast Passes. What a great surprise.

Here's my plate: sausage, bacon, eggs, zucchini, coffee cake and the breakfast lasagna. I did not like the lasagna. It was way too sweet for me. Everything else was good. We didn't eat much. We were so tired of eating on this trip.

We will probably stick with dinner here. The food for breakfast was good, but we definately enjoyed dinner more.

Thanks very much for finishing your reports, I have loved reading them. That Winnie the Pooh waffle is sooo cute! I think I should do the breakfast just for that!
