Who's going to be at WDW early March? Meet is a week away!

I usually try to plan a mini meet for times when we are around. Our upcoming trip is March 1-6 at AKV and March 9-11 at OKW. If you are interested in a DVC/DIS meet during those times, let me know and I'll see what's available. It might be fun to meet at AKV this time. It's the only DVC resort we haven't attempted a meet at yet.

We will plan on meeting at AKL lobby near the bridge to the fire pit and close to the stairs to Boma. The time will be Monday, March 3 at 3:30. Some of us are going to have to leave at 5:30 or so, but 2 hours should be plenty of time to have some good DVC chat and face to face! Everyone wear your lime green Mickey heads, and if you don't have one, I'll provide a few.

Am not certain of dates yet although do have March 10 at SSR and the 11-12th at OKW but already have 11th an 12th tied up with friends we have invited to join us after a visit with them in Bradenton. Am possibly going to try for 4th and 5th depending on what DH learns about his job status this week. We know it is being eliminated just don't know the details of exactly when and what kind of package will be involved. After 47 years I hope they have the respect to do something decent for him. Still have 2 years to medicare so any travel money after this may be going to pay for insurance for that time. If the date is before then I will try to get the extra nights and change our travel dates to include a couple of extra days and would be happy to meet some fellow DISers.

My DH and I will be a BWV Feb 27 thru March 3. Spending most of our time at DHS and ESPN the Weekend.

Mike or Pat, do you have any times for suggestions? I do know that Monday the 3rd is out in the late afternoon/evening, since that is when we do the sunset safari. We also will be leaving early on the 6th to head down to Fort Myers for a few days of Twins Spring Training, and when we return late on the 9th, we will be at OKW.

I would prefer either Saturday the 1st (we arrive mid morning), Sunday the 2nd, or Tuesday or Wednesday the 3rd and 4th anytime. So you see, I'm fairly flexible that early part except for the safari times. If it is the later part of the trip, the 10th or early on the 11th would be okay for us. We probably will not get back to WDW too early on the 9th, since we have tickets to the Twins/Yankee game in Fort Myers at 1 PM. On the 11th, we have to leave for the airport mid afternoon.

We will be at Disney Feb. 29 - March 8. It will be DH, DD22, DD19 and myself in a OKW studio. It will be the first time going home for our girls. DH & I stayed for a 4-night trip at SSR in December. I'm really looking forward to checking out OKW.

March 1, 2, 3 or 4 sound OK with us. We arrive early on the afternoon of the 1st (driving down). We have ADRs around 6pm on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, but are otherwise free.

Let me know what you prefer. I'm thinking we should be pretty specific, since it IS a large place!

We have never had any problem, and we have visited AKL nearly evey trip, even without dinner reservations. Just say you are going to visit some guests and give my name, since I will be staying there.

We have sunset safari ressies that day too, so I know we will have to leave by 5:45 as well. That's why I thought 3:30 would be a good time to start. We usually find folks stay about an hour and a half to two hours, so that should work well.

Yes, and while we usually meet at a place where food and drinks are available, we generally dont plan anything more specific than that, since we tend to have ours in teh afternoon. That way folks can usually make thier evening dinner ADRs.

So the irony of it all...

Like all best laid plans, mine has gone south! I will have only about 15 minutes to meet with everyone, and then I'll have to head out on the savanna for our sunset savanna tour. When I made the ressies, I was told 5:30, but it turns out that was for dinner! The safari actually has a check in time of 3:45 with a departure of 4 PM. I'll be at the designated location (fire pit in the main lobby area with Mickey heads in hand, and looking for Mike or Pat to take them from me and distribute them. Hopefully I'll get to see a FEW of you anyway!

I had to add a little business to this vacation and the timing didn't work out as well as I had hoped. I thought I might be able to make the meet after another engagement at 2pm. But that first meeting was pushed back and it was after 4pm before we broke up.
