what exactly is this ride?. you know, the one next to jurrasic park river adventure.
was just wobndering, as it was the only IOA ride we didon't do last time round, and wondered if we were missing anything.
is it just like a baby flying dinosaur ride?, or is it more along the lines of a sky way, such as the one at seus landing

You're not missing anything...If you want to do it, beeline it there at park opening....
It's a 2 seater (on in front of the other) and it's a 'hanging swing' of the sorts....you just fly over top of the Camp Jurassic area...about a minute ride...that's all....nothing to really see....Mostly trees and for a brief few seconds, a good shot of Dudley's from the air.... will try to find pix to post for you.

Well it doesn't really involve Dudley, you just see it from the lifthill. And yes, Dudley did get lapbars. Nothing about the ride is different, just the logs now have lapbars.

I'm pretty sure the ride is about 30 seconds long. You also need to have someone below 40' or so? I'm not sure what the specific height is but you need to ride with a child or someone who's short. The line is usually long and I really don't think waiting 20+ minutes for 30 seconds is a smart choice. I went on it a few times with my friend and we weren't very comfortable with the ride because it was a bit 'shaky' and we were pretty high up. Just didn't seem very sturdy but I'm sure it's safe because many people ride but yeah..

hmmm okay, though i don't see why such a short ride would get so busy...The line gets so long because of the LOW rider capacity...it only seats two people per vehicle so the wait line is typically more than 45 minutes on any given day and the line moves VERY slowly.

We were told that adults could ride at any time.
You do not need to have a child with you to ride.
I think when we went thru the line was 90% adults.

If it's not busy and off peak time, they will probably let adults on without kids. When we went by there in the summer, there was an upset group of adults with the TM running that entrance....He told them they needed a child to be able to ride. Needless to say, they weren't happy and tromped off. I think it has to do with the 'busy-ness' of the park.... (we were there at the end of June).
