Only one rule! If you're going to come in here to laugh at everyone elses: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: You have to post one of your own! We're all friends here...
Just goes to show even those notorious for taking great or cute pictures can end up with one as horrific as this!:

May I introduce you to Bob, my other chin! That'll teach me to sprint too hard at the end of a race... Maybe I was running so fast it created that "windtunnel" effect... Oh, and I grabbed DW's Goofy shirt instead of mine by mistake, can you tell? ;)

I don't have anything to post. I am sure in the years to come there will be plenty though. A couple of questions though:
Matt--How fast were you sprinting. It looks like your pulling at least 4Gs in that photo.
Duelling Panda--So did she catch you or did you hip check her down before the finish? On the bright side, you are beating the elite runners. It doesn't look like #4 is going to catch you.
Mel--I prefece this by saying I am no slave to fashion, but I am hoping at least some of that was throw away clothes. Really throw away, as in trash. I'm not sure that the destitute would even be stylin' that look (at least all the parts together) ;)?

I must say that there are many bad pictures out there. Matt, keep up with the deep breathing so you don't pass out with the G-Force. Panda, I hope you put it in her face when you destroyed her! Mel -- Why?
Here is my entry. Besides the shorts riding up the croch, it's not too bad. Here is the issue. I am following a girl who is so relaxed that she has time to put her hands on her hips. Meanwhile, I am ready to die.

OK...so I have lots of running pictures where I'm making odd expressions, or looking like i'm literally going to drop dead. But this one is bad for a different reason! It looks like I'm racing in the girly-girl championship of the year. So my daughter asked, upon seeing this picture, "mom...you didn't run the whole marathon like that did you?" :rotfl: No darling...just in front of the photographer. The real reason for this beautiful "running form" is that I was getting ready to wave...or just finished waving...anyway...that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
My..."I believe I can fly" picture...

Matt, if that is the worst you can do, you aren't really trying! You (and Bob) are looking in fine form!
Okay, so it took me a while to decide which hideous pictures would get the honors, and finally decided on this one, from the inaugural Disneyland half:
http://www.asiorders.com/view_user_photo.asp?EVENTID=11087&ID=26941945&FROM=photos&BIB=7444
What makes this one such a winner? Let's start with my head position. Looking straight down. Apparently admiring my "girls" which are being enhanced by the fact that my fanny pack has slid all the way up my torso, creating a particularly lovely effect. Or perhaps I am just looking to make sure my feet are still there?
Then there is the stellar time, as proudly displayed by the clock I am not looking at.
But I think the thing that puts it over the top is the very energetic and enthused runner behind me in red. A nice juxtaposition of emotions, huh?
If I can find it, I will have to post my DH's favorite -- it is from the NYC marathon several years ago. Its an okay shot of him -- or would be if he weren't being obscured in part by an Achilles team runner with leg braces and .crutches.

OH MY GOSH!!!!! That happens to you too?!?!?!?!?!? I have so many of those it's not even funny! Or, more often, I've pushed it down below my big belly so I can breathe. And what really gets me is that in my photos this year, my camera case had worked its way around to the front so it looks like I'm wearing a codpiece (which, in case you don't know, is NOT something women wear [for obvious reasons]). :lmao:
OK, here's an example of a below-the-belly winner:

Ironman Lake Placid 2003- rained all stinking day and was a high of maybe 60 degrees in July. Mel looks like a bag lady in her picture, I WAS a bag lady in mine. That stylish white top in the finish picture is actually my special needs bag with holes popped through for my head and arms. You get special needs just about 13 miles into the marathon and I knew it was still raining and would be cooler as the sun went down so I did a field expedient rain jacket. I learned from the experience/race picture and took the garbage bag off before finishing IM Wisconsin 2006. There was a turn about 200 ft before the finish and they had a box there for us to put our garbage bag jackets in.

I am a cold weather wimp!
This was the 2006 WDW half when it was 30 degrees at the start. What you can't see is that I actually had 3 shirts on under that attractive jacket (my mom bought it for me...what was she trying to say?) and had brought 2 extra sweatshirts that I didn't wear. I gave one sweatshirt to a lady from CT who was in shorts and a tshirt because she hadn't expected it to be that cold. End of race, I was down to just the 3 shirts

My family knows that any picture taken of me will usually have my eyes closed. Apparently this carries over to race photos as well. Not sure how I run if they're closed?
In addition, I have the whole below-the-waist thing going on. Just how much stuff can one person wear or tie around their waist?

The WISH shirt was so long, it covered up my pack, which makes my stomach look huge and oddly shaped. :lmao: The next year I figured out that I could put my strap through my race number and wear the fanny pack on the outside instead of the inside. Duh! I am wearing a red flannel headband that covers my ears to make sure they stay warm. So glad I kept that on for the picture! I also have my Garmin strapped on top of my shirt sleeve. Around my neck is the lime green flannel scarf that Lily gave everyone to carry for the race. I am wearing a navy blue baseball cap with a pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness. Thank goodness you can't see my running tights in the photo. Somebody call the fashion police! :rolleyes1

Okay, I've been trying to resist because for me a bad race picture is the only picture I know. I don't have enough experience/races to have a good one accidentally slip in. I hate having my picture taken normally, so add first race(s), me being nervous, hot, and sweaty (not to mention slow) and there's really no question that the results will be hilarious.
Anyway, halfway through the 1/2, I realized those darned photographers just weren't going to ignore me, no matter how much I hoped they would. So I started playing to the camera. Yes, they wore me down. And this is one of the results:

Keep em coming,

Okay, Duane, I'm so glad you posted this. I couldn't believe my eyes when I got my pictures back from my first marathon last February and saw this:

Apparently, we've got the same condition! I'm sure, though, that our legs only looked that way that one step when they took the pictures - no way my legs do that with every step of every run!

Matt, are you wearing a helmet?:lmao:
Only one rule! If you're going to come in here to laugh at everyone elses: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: You have to post one of your own! We're all friends here...
Just goes to show even those notorious for taking great or cute pictures can end up with one as horrific as this!:

May I introduce you to Bob, my other chin! That'll teach me to sprint too hard at the end of a race... Maybe I was running so fast it created that "windtunnel" effect... Oh, and I grabbed DW's Goofy shirt instead of mine by mistake, can you tell? ;)

Dave, that is so funny...she really had you running for your money!:lmao: :rotfl: You should seriously send this as a Christmas card...maybe you can edit Santa in this picture and have you two running to sit on his lap. lol...that would be a hoot.
Here I am locked in combat with one of those nasty 10 year olds at the finishline.

Ok here goes! Worst picture ever taken of me! My hobbling 5K one week after I sprained my KNEE (that happened the day I left for vacation of course).

The cute pirate on my right is my daughter Julia :) I vow to never look like this in another race picture.
This one is slightly better, and I am in much better condition after running the half marathon than I was after a measley 5K.

Here I am after having sustained a small foot problem that was really hurting me. I pray that I don't look like this all of the time when I am running. If I do, I may have to stop!!:lmao:

Aww, Bryan - you just look like you're really focused! Which is pretty good, given that you were in pain.
Here's mine from this weekend - beyond my vast quantities of pasty-white flesh (which always seems to look worst with the lime green reflection, I've got not so much a smile as a sneer. At mile 13, you'd think I could manage to look a little happier. Especially taking my own photo! Also, why did I stop, turn around and take a photo? Who knows. I do like how you can see spaceship earth in my sunglasses, though!

How are you guys copying the professional photos? I actually plan to buy my CD but want to go through Lost and Found before I order it. Everytime I go to copy a photo I get that copyright notice.

Here is a terrible picture. I don't have any of my Disney pics at work but the face I am making in this one is just a disaster.

-Bring up the photo thumbnail in the largest size you can on the site
-Hit the "print screen" key on your keyboard
-Open up MS Paint (or any picture program/editor)
-Go to Edit -> Paste
-Use the box tool in the upper right corner of the upper left side toolbar
-Drag it around the area of the freeze frame you want to crop
-Edit -> Cut
-File -> New (no need to save the leftover freeze frame)
-Edit -> Paste
-File -> Save As -> make sure file type is jpg and name it whatever
Voila!
Note the quality will only be as good as the thumbnail on your screen.

Thanks for the tutorial, Matt......I think it's gonna work!
This is in Epcot just a little before the end. Check out what happened to my skirt......it was fine until my last porta-potty stop where I apparently forgot to pull it up all the way! And note how I'm grasping Anne and Karen's little orange washcloth for dear life. It became my little WISH security blanket!

Hi All - I was horrified when I saw my race photos from my first official race. This thread has helped me feel better - knowing that other people must have been as shocked as me when they saw their pictures.
Here is my contribution - I don't really know how to explain what is wrong, other than to say I hope I don't really look like that (and my DH has assured me I don't - after he stopped laughing)
