I have a friend who is a cm at mg... umm..I mean HS and he admits that he intentionally stays out of the loops when it comes to the rumor-mill. However, he came to me wondering what I had heard about a new roller coaster coming to HS.?. He and several of his co-cms said that they saw new roller-coaster tracks being delivered to the area behind the new ToyStory Mania building. I haven't heard or read anything but wouldn't that be awesome?? I know ToyStory Mania isn't a coaster...could they possibly be adding a track to RRC? :confused3

Here's to hoping for a new coaster before fall! But, they could just be new tracks for RRC...

No room for a new track in RRC. My guess would be those are the tracks for the ToyStory mania ride itself mistaken for roller coaster tracks.

Perhaps MisMikiNikiLynne was referring to a possible replacement of R'n'R's track? Gosh knows it needs it, I swear every time I ride that thing it gets rougher and rougher.

It would be quite unusual for Disney to get that far along on a new attraction and not announce it yet. Typically new attractions are announced way before ground is broken on the attraction

What about the rumor of building a clone of DLPR Crush Coaster in the Studio?

That would be great if there were new tracks. I feel like I need to go to chiropractor when I get done with R'n'R, but I still love it!

:cheer2: I'm lovin' that one! This is the one Disney Park that could use alot of "plussing" to keep it competitive.

I would like more of a kiddie coaster or even better a dark ride. The Ratatouille rumor would be fun as would the Little Mermaid dark ride from the DVD

A roller coaster is pretty big news and someone "in the know" would have leaked the story by now.

There was. I t was to be designed on the door scene at the end of the movie, but I think the Ratatouille coaster idea has surpassed that (it would be cheaper as well)

That's exactly what I think they are, most likely.

Can somebody get some pictures of the track? Looking at it we should be able to determine if it's for the ToyStory ride or a coaster and maybe whether it's for RnR or something else.:thumbsup2

Light bridges and set pieces that would likely to be used for the recently announced American Idol attraction could easily resemble a tubular steel, box frame Coaster track.

I've never seen a light bridge that looked anything like roller coaster track. Light bridges are very lightweight (something coaster track is not) and normally are highly polished not painted. The idea that it may be replacement track for RnR or possible track for the Toy Story ride sound like the most viable options if it's not for a new ride. The shares would certainly help!:cool1:

Ya think??? I worked at an amusement park as a teen, (granted it was six flags and not Disney,) and we would see crazy stuff all the time. We never really knew what the stuff was for though. Like cms, we were left in the dark. I collected my $4.25 an hour and went home cranky like a good teenager!:rotfl:
