Anyone going to be there? Barry? I am planning on going, get to Universal sometime around mid afternoon and staying for Mardi Gras. I see Hank Williams is the concert that night, would not mind missing that. :)

I will be there that weekend.

rocketman23

I would most likely be out there...

I will be there next week, 3/22 to 3/24. I thought the Tampa Bay meet was 3/16?

Hey! I'm going the 16th too! Hopefuly, I might be going the 17th but most likely the 16th. I'll be the one wearing the Spider-Man football jersey!

Barry....no on was interested so we kinda cancelled it. I can not afford to go there anyways....cheaper to go to IOA for the weekend since I have the annual pass.

Should we all meet somewhere to say hi or whatever at a certain time? I know I am not on this board much, mainly on the CB.

Do you all from this board wear the lime green ribbons when you are at the parks?

rocketman23
03-08-2002, 05:40 PM
It doesn't really matter, I can make it out there at either park at almost any time except for maybe 9-10. It might be a little rough for me to make it out there that early. You, ERaptor, and Robert decide on a time and place.

EmeraldRaptor
03-08-2002, 05:40 PM
Well, like I said, I'll be wearing the Spider-Man football jersey. I don't know what time I'll get there, but look for me anyway.

rocketman23
03-08-2002, 10:17 PM
Well, I guess someones got to suggest a time;)

How about 2 at the Port of Entry wait time board? That way everyone should be there and is an area with little traffic. That's just a suggestion though...

EmeraldRaptor

Sounds good to me, what about everybody else.

rocketman23
03-10-2002, 09:43 AM
2:00, Port of Entry time board, I figure that's a better meet spot.
Note that change ERaptor...

Mickey, Robert, you in? MIB9, MsDis, you going to be there?

MIB999999
03-10-2002, 11:43 AM
MIB9's is always a possible on a saturday. If i can make it i will be at the sign at port of entry at 2:00 sharp. probably in my spider man shirt:smooth:

MsDisney
03-10-2002, 02:34 PM
l'll definitely see what's going on and go hang out if at all possible! Ryan (Thing1) likes to do the coasters with other people too!

So long as RobertW promises not to punch either of my kids in the nose! ;) ;) ;)

MIB, you better show up at Mythos else they'll have to call all the area hospitals and law enforcement agencies!!! ;)

Karen

I will be there at 2 pm also. I'm sure he will get me back for his brother. I know from yesterday I thought the parks was going to send out a search party. Unfortunately I started the search at noon and then Mythos started getting worried after his wife called.

At least I was able to find them when they arrived.

Karen, hopefully Alex is OK from last night. I know that my ears are still ringing from the concert. It was awesome.

cool, I always wanted to meet some people I knew online. I could never make it to a con before, but me and my friend are probably going to be the only teenagers there though. Oh well, you guys you have to put up with our wreckless shenanigans.

Whats the difference. We are teenagers in adult bodies. We love the same rides that you do and will have plenty of fun.

Boy is that the truth!:p Have a great time and ride the front of ICE for me will ya? Oh, wait, they don't let MIB on DD anymore. He knocked some kid's sneaker off during the near collision :)

How about I ride both (Ice and Fire) front seats for you. I would love to give you the credit. No they actually tie his feet back to the coaster before they set the train off.

Looks like it should be a good turnout... but ironically the person who requested the meet has not yet replied!

BTW, rocketman here is a teenager... don't much like the music, trends, or anything of a "normal" teenager, but I am one.

He might not like the normal trends, but he's still very cool and he wears EXTREMELY cool hats! ;) But I didn't notice anything yesterday...no hats and no googly eyes...you're not turning into
a grownup on us, are you???

Raptor, you're dealing with a group of "grownups" who ride MIB over and over and over...and one of our "grownups" carries around a can of pork brains...not exactly your typical old farts, that's for sure!;)

And MIB999999 IS allowed on DD, but they MAKE him ride in the front row so he can't kick the tourons in the head anymore...

Well, I don't like that teen stuff either. But when I_ say teenager you guys probably think 15 or something. By the time you see me I'll be 17, and like I said, I'll be wearing my Spider-Man football jersey.

MIB999999

17 and wearing a Spiderman Football Jersey
46 and wearing a Spiderman shirt
should be cool

BTW renee the kid was ugly and his mother dressed him funny, so what did you expect me to do. If you got it flaunt it:smooth:

MsDisney

BTW renee the kid was ugly and his mother dressed him funny,

So this kid had to suffer because MIB999999 had a flashback to his childhood, in a nutshell...;)

Only difference is, his mother doesn't dress him any longer...

Yea, I can be mean...once in a while...

Karen
We have to wear shirts???

Sorry, I have not been online much this week. Was sick a couple days. I am still trying to coordinate with my friends that are going with me. We will have a 2yr old with us so that should make planning fun. :)

Christine,

A 2 year old! If it's warm enough for your toddler to get wet, you'll want to spend ALOT of time in Seuss Landing's "If I ran the zoo". Be sure to turn every crank and pull every handle! You never know what's going to pop up: I almost forgot it's not usually open until 11AM.
A couple of not so well know places in SL: Look in the courtyard next to the Cat in the Hat gift shop. As you enter Seuss landing, on your right is McCulligan's Pool. Throw change in the fish's mouths (you'll know it's the right ones because paint has worn away on the pavement where kids lean over)

Have fun!!

And I'm just wondering, but how many of you would like to see pictures, or even a full video of us together at IOA? I've got a digital camera that I'm gonna bring, and I might bring my video camera too.

The sad stuff: I'm not gonna be able to go to Mythos on this trip. We are really tight on money and Mythos is just too expensive for us this time.

I would like to see videos and pictures.

Robin wants a lot of video and pictures of Spider-Man. :)

Well, I'd be happy to take part in a little photo shoot with Spidey...make a nice little video and all...;)

Don't know if Robin would still want to see it, but it would make a darn good souvenier for me!!!  :D

Well I know for a fact that I would be able to get the pictures, and getting the video is easy too, but it's the fact that it's a 20 year old camera that ways a ton and can only record for about an hour at full charge. Other than that, it should be fine.

So where are we meeting again? The sign at the port of entry, what sign would this be?

rocketman23
03-14-2002, 09:28 PM
It's purple and features the wait times. It is at the end of the PoE right at the junction where you would turn left for Marvel and right for Suess.

okay everyone....you all will be meeting at the ride time boards @ IOA at 2:00, right?

I will try my best to get my crew there to at least say hi to everyone. Not sure if my friends would be cool with hanging out all day. I would like to at least say hi though. I will be looking for guys w/ Spidey shirts. :)

I hope you all enjoy your day at the park. :)

I forgot, my god-daughter loves all the water areas there. She loves playing in the fountains at both entrances to Toon Lagoon, you will probably see us there for quite a while. :)

rocketman23
03-15-2002, 10:07 AM
Speaking of Toon Lagoon, it should be hot enough to ride Dudley tomorrow! I'm kind of anxious to ride since my last ride was in January. Anybody in for a little Dudley after we meet? We should probably do it first so we can dry off by night fall. What do you say: yay or nay?

EmeraldRaptor

I don't know how long I'm gonna be there, my mom is dropping me off and she will decide on when to pick me up, it won't be before 2:00 though, so atleast we will get to meet.

MsDisney
03-15-2002, 03:45 PM
I figured I'd let you guys know I probably won't make it tomorrow...sometimes life gets in the way...I have a friend in need...

So...I'll be there next week...for sure!!!

Sorry to miss those of you I haven't met...and Bob and Rocketman, I'll see you next week!

Enjoy Hank...Yeeha!!!

That's too bad MsDis, I was hoping to get to meet all of you. Another thing I would hope for is to be able to go to IOA every weekend like most of you, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Well, thanks, Emerald....you're not THAT far away, and you're not that young that you probably can't get here every weekend soon, if you really want to!!!
Do you have your license yet or are you close, and will it matter when you do (ie. will "they" let you come all the way here??) I think that it seems like forever, but you're very close to doing your own thing...

In my opinion, you shouldn't lug the big video camera...bring the digital if you'd like...but those old camcorders are just silly and only you will have any video to enjoy, really...besides, not many things can you realistically take video on, anyway!

Have fun, and we'll definitely catch up another time!
Karen

Well, I'm not gonna bring the video camera, even though it records straight to vhs, I would still be able to get the video on the internet. And the digital camera is unsure, but some sort of picture taking device will be brought by me, so no worries, we will have pictures on the internet to remember this glorious ocassion. And yes, I'm not that far away from getting my operators license, but it's the matter of money, school, time, and me getting a car.
