Hi
We have booked the cruise line transport. We are down to stay at SSR at the moment for a week after the cruise but hoping to get changed to WLV or AKLV at the 7month window popcorn:: As we are staying at Pop the first 5 days and DCL bus does not pick up from there we are getting the dlc bus from the CBR which is next door.As for returning we will get dropped at one of the disney hotels and if it is not on there route we will get a taxi to our dvc resort.A bit of a pain not driving but not used to the american roads:scared1: Great to see somone else on this cruise.I thought I would be on my own:rotfl: Is this your first cruise?By the way my name is Alyson my DD is 5 and called charlotte and my DH is called Pete.Nice to meet you

Betty Breed

Nice to meet you Allison.:goodvibes As you can see my name is Betty:wave2: . My DD, Nicole:tinker: , and her DS,my DGS Taylor :stitch: is 7 now, but when we cruise he will be 8. We can't decide if my brother :goofy: will be coming along, but there's plenty of time to change that (according to my TA).:hourglass

Is there a bus @ the port that will take us to the resorts? Do we need to make arrangements? This is not our 1st Disney cruise, but last time we went home after the cruise so we took the DCL bus to the airport.

Are you planning to take any shore excursions while we are in Naussau(sp?) or Castaway Cay? We did the Atlantis excursion in the Bahamas & the glass-bottom boat @ CC. We decided not to book anything this time to enjoy the boat. I think we'll just play on the beach in both places:beach:.

Hi Betty
You can book the return transfer through your TA as far as I know.I know they do drop at AKL so it would be good for you. This is why I want to stay there rather than SSR,but also because my daughter is animal mad.My DD will be 6 when we go on the cruise. We haven't booked and shore trips as yet as can't do till the 75 day window. My DH and DD want to do the stingrayencounter on CC but I am not a fish fan(apart from shamu:lmao: ).Like you I want to enjoy the beach.I have been to Bahamas before so I am not too fussed about getting off the boat in nassau. Will have to drag DD away from the kids clubs. It seems so far away yet this year has already gone so quick. We actually leave the UK on the 9th now and get home christmas day.Its a long way to go for a week so we try and have at least 2 when we go which is 3 times in the last 24 months:scared1: and we are both students:scared1: :scared1: .Obviously we work as well.Well I have to go to work now.I will be asking you some questions as you have been before.Take care

Hi Allison,
I will try to answer any questions I can. I haven't been on the DCL since
2004.:sail: Some things have changed, others have not.
We are so excited about this trip. party: We have been going to WDW and DL every other year since 2003. Our last trip was to DL. We have cruised on another line 3 times, but I have always wanted to do another Disney cruise.
So we are doing the 3land/4sea cruise and tacking on 3 more days at WDW.:woohoo: :woohoo:
Will think of some more to talk about later. Gotta go now.

HI everyone !!!!

Can I join in?? I am so excited:banana:  ....I booked this cruise last month and there will be 6 of us going----I really haven't posted here on Disboards a lot---more of a lurker(sorry!) Anyway, this will be the first cruise for my 3 DS's (10-7-and 3)-and the best part is that they have NO idea. We will be staying in Disney for 7 nights before the cruise-and then my boys will think we're driving back to MCO when in fact we will be going to the Port. I hope I can keep the secret until then. I am so excited I am about to BURST- ---there has been so many times already that I have wanted to tell them!! Well, it will be great meeting all of you !!! Bye for now !!

Hi Alyson and Betty,

My name is Aleesa and I am from New Jersey. We currently have reservations for SSR before our cruise. I need to wait until May to try and switch our reservation to another resort...any suggestions?? (We are going through DVC and have stayed at BCV,BWV, VWL and OKW in the past---would love to try AKV but heard it may be difficult to get into).

THANKS, and look forward to getting to know everyone !!

Hi Aleesa. Where in NJ are you from? I was born and raised there.

Alyson, I'm sorry I spelled your name wrong in my very 1st post here. I'll do better. My only defense is that my TA's name is Allison.

Hi Betty,:goodvibes

Sorry it took so long to respond. I live in Northern NJ--where are you from??? I have lived in NJ all of my life---but I am seriously considering moving out of this state in the future (maybe about a year or two from now). Too expensive, WAY too expensive, and I think my family and I need a fresh start.

Anxious to hear from you !!

Hi Both
Betty don't worry about the spelling error with my name.I get it all the time.It is so cold here in the uk.I wish I was in florida now:love: My husband and I are both student nurses and are seriously thinking of moving to the states when we have some experience behind us.The way of life is so much better over there.I know they say the grass is greener but the uk has big issues and problems and I don't want my little one growing up into this.Enough moaning. What are you both planning to do on the cruise? We have booked a cat 12 room but it says GTY at the moment on our booking. We are staying at POP for 5 nights before and at the moment SSR for 6 nights though hoping for AKLV or WLV:worship: .
After looking at your threads I can see where you are stayingpirate: Aleesa, what are the BWV like and OKW?Like you we have to change or go on the wait list in may.I am sure SSR is really nice and to be honest I will be happy anywhere. It seems a long time away but I am so excited and keep reading my passporters guide. We have never cruised so will totally be blown away by it all.It is our anniversary while we are on board as we got married in florida in 2006.Cannot wait:dance3:

Hey Alyson & Aleesa:goodvibes , What a "Small World".:lmao: I was born in Perth Amboy and moved to Vineland when I was 6 months old. I lived there til I graduated nursing school .:flower3: I moved to Texas when I married and moved 2 more times before returning to Texas. Plan to stay here.

I don't really know what we are going to do during the cruise. I really want to stay on board and take advantage of everything there. The last time we were on the DCL we did an excursion at each port and didn't realize what was on the ship. We didn't get any autographs, didn't take part in any activities on board, so I want to see what there is.:sad2: We have cruised another cruise line for 3 years and had fun not planning much. The last cruise we took I had my DGS and he got to swim with dolphins. He had a great time.:yay:

We are going to have some time in the parks before and after the cruise:banana: . We are trying to make plans for that part.:surfweb:
I messed up on my flights to MCO so I was forced to fly in a day earlier than I planned so I forced myself to add a stop @ Universal. Poor me...

Is anybody going to the MVMCP? I haven't decided yet.:confused3

Betty
We are going to mvmcp. We are palnning on going the night we arrive back from the cruise.Have done it 3 times now and love it.I have read threads on all ears about it and alot of the us state it is very busy but we have never found it that way. They allow 20,000 guests in an evening max and it is all about planning. It is always best to see the 2nd pararde as everyone crowds to see the first for some reason.Interesting you are a nurse.I have been in the nursing fied for 11 years now and now my daughter is 5 and in school all day I feel I can do it.It does get difficult with my husbands shifts as well.I am doing adult/paed and he is doing mental Health.
I don't think we are going to get off at the bahamas as I have been before and as you say there is so much to do on board,I probably won't see my daughter much as she loves kids clubs. As for the land stay, some friends of ours are staying at pop and are on the same flights as us but we are doing our own thing. They haven't been before so I have given them loads of good info of where to and not to go.But it is their holiday and each has there own opinions on things. We love everything disney and don't complain about anything. Are you going to do Palo brunch or dinner?Brunch seems to be a good option after reading such good reviews on here.I am excited but then think I have all my exams in september to contend with first before I can relax.
Its such a shame you had to book an extra night:lmao: I have never stayed in the universal hotels but they look ace.We have rented poits from a uk DVC member for SSR and it has worked out so cheap compared to booking through a TA.Roughly $750 for 6 nights.Anyway I am going in the tub for a nice soak.Have been at my uncles farm today and he has had lots of lambs born so I need a good soak.
Betty do you think a cat 12 will be ok for the 3 of us?I am debating upgrading to a 10.It is a GTY at the moment and I know they sometimes upgrade. There are only the 3 of us and we are not intending spending much time in the room.
Aleesha...........where are you :upsidedow

Is MVMCP worth going twice in one year? We were thinking of going when we get there and then again after the cruise.
Haven't thought about Palo's brunch. I hope DGS will play in the club.

Hi Alyson and Betty,

Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of days !! I don't go on the computer every day, but when I get an email that says there are responses posted to this thread, I get so excited!!

Anyway, I am not sure if we are going to MVMCP this year. YES, we have been before (3 years ago) and YES, we love it, but I have to see. We have annual passes, and spend A LOT of time in the parks when we visit WDW, so I am not sure I can justify the $$$ for all 6 of us to go (it all adds up) !!!--since they are a separate ticket altogether. BUT, we did enjoy ourselves last time---between the snow on Main Street, the special parades, cocoa, cookies, free 5x7 picture that arrived back to NJ before we actually did!!, and just the overall "holiday" feeling ---I would definitely say it was wonderful!!!

This will be our 1st Disney cruise (1st cruise ever for our kids)---so I am not sure what we will do on the cruise. I don't know if we should book excursions, stay on ship, get off the ship and explore, or WHAT !! Maybe you girls could help and give some advice!!!

Alyson-- BWV and OKW are wonderful !!! My favorite would have to be OKW, though--I like the separate buildings, the SIZE of the rooms, the general atmosphere, etc. We have stayed in OKW twice, and both times I have requested a building near the HH and they granted my requests!! We were in walking distance to the HH (just a quick walk over the bridge), and right next to a bus stop. We used the main pool with the sandcastle slide--my kids loved it !!! We were there for Halloween one year, and they had LOTS of activites, contests, and fun for BOTH kids and grownups ! My son won a beautiful Halloween cake because he was the winner of the "Cake Walk".

I am not sure where we will stay this year--already booked for SSR, but I don't really want to stay there again. BUT--I guess I will just have to wait until May to find out what they even have available. I am just so happy and fortunate to be going---I guess it doesn't really matter where we stay, right???

Talk to you all soon,

Aleesa

04-01-2008, 05:24 PM
Thanks Aleesa for the info.I think OKW will be our next choice if we don't get AKLV or WLV.I wanted to stay there years ago but could never afford it but now we have found some kind DVC member it has become possible. As for the MVMCP We have been 3 times BUT I love it and it is a must for us (but there is only 3 of us to pay for).It is our first DLC as you know and we too are very excited but a little apprehensive as my husband suffers with travel sickness so he is a bit worried about the motion sickness. As we have booked a cat 12 GTY and these are on deck 2 I hope we get one as I read the lower the deck the less you feel the movement :confused3 .If we get upgraded to another cat due to there only being 13 cat 12 cabins I hope it is on a low floor.:lmao: for his sake.Anyway have to go and walk the puppy.
speak soon:hug:

I stayed at the Pop last Dec, I liked it much better than the ALL stars. Vero Beach looks so beautiful!!
Magnetic door signs! So cool!! Do you just add some magnetic strips to your signs?
Last year I went with my b/f and we missed out on MVMCP, so I am just waiting for the tickets to go on sale, I am going to surprise my parents with tickets! I have been to WDW the last 2 Decembers One of which were there for Christmas and have not been to the party yet! I'm excited for that :)
Take Care, have fun reading Passporters, I just picked up Birinbaums online for 6 bucks and I had to buy a text book so I had free shipping. I just got it so I haven't started it yet!

Take Care and Happy Planning :) princess:

Wow, another nurse going on this cruise! Congrats on you graduation!

We've stayed at the Poly, AKL, and the Contemporary. I loved being on the monorail. Transportation was so easy. But this time my DDD wants to stay again at the AKL. So on the busses(sp) we will go! :rolleyes1

Aleesha, I don't know much about the cat 12 cabins. The 1st time we went we were on deck 8 (8066) verandah. This time we are going to be on deck 6
(6568) verandah. I booked thru the DCL and the agent said that being on this side of the ship when we pulled into Castaway Cay that we would have a good view of the island instead of the dock area.pirate:

I have never made signs before---I am just taking advice from others on the boards who have. Another idea for magnets are magnetic sheets. WELL, I went to Staples (only place I could find actual MAGNETIC SHEETS-----to print onto directly--)--BUT I will not pay $14.00 for 4 sheets--that is INSANE !!! So, yes, I will probably print onto paper, laminate, and put magnetic tape on the back. Easy to do, and a LOT less $$$$ (MORE money for Disney!!!)

You are NEVER going to believe this !!!! I just have to tell you...I was reading along and then I saw your cabin # for this cruise...We are going to be directly across the hall from you !!! (6569 and 6571)!!! I thought that was so cool--to think---a handful of us on this board so far, and out of ALL of those staterooms, WE are going to be neighbors !!!!! Just thought I'd share !!!!!!!

Talk to you all real soon !!!

Hello Everyone,

My DH and I will be joining you on this cruise, I can't wait. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary. We love to cruise, this will be number 4 on DIsney Wonder (we both love Disney too, I have been hooked on all things Disney since we honeymooned at Disney World.) We haven't made any plans for the cruise, other than I am hoping to get brunch reservations at Palo's. We are flying in the evening before, probably will book a room at Port Orleans and hop the boat to Downtown Disney (love seeing the Xmas decorations).

Hi to everyone. We will be on this cruise also. This is our first cruise (hubby was in Coast Guard, does that count as cruising???) We are getting excited.

We are from the Sacramento, CA area. We went to WDW Thanksgiving 2005 and had a fantastic time.

It has been fun looking around the boards and gathering information. We chose our Stateroom from the Stateroom reviews!

We are already planning our magnets and fish hanger. Can't wait for reservations & excursions to open up. We already have our tickets to MVMCP. We are going the night we return from the Cruise!

I look forward to chatting and meeting with some of you.

Hi Tinkerbell*Xo

I got my countdown ticker from www mickeypath com You will need to add the appropriate "."s. It was easy to make. There are some impressive countdown clocks on these boards, but this is the one I found and used.

Hope this helps.

Hi ya Tink

I have been reading posts and came across fish hanger or fish extenders. It is something that you hang outside your stateroom door. I would suggest that you do a search for fish extender or fish hanger to see some pictures and for some of the various explanations on how they are used. I'm not trying to be vague, but some do it for fun, some do it for a purpose. You can buy one, make one or improvise one (I read one was made from lunch bags!).

I hope that someone who has done the fish hangers before will chime in and we can get an exchange of sorts going on this cruise. It sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe even a Secret Santa??? Everything I know about fish hangers, I learned from the Boards. I don't know enough about it to organize it, but I would be glad to help someone organize it.

Either way, I'm going to have one outside of my door along with magnets on my door, lots of magnets. We are in CA and can't get to Florida very often. I don't want to not do anything so simple and so fun. Just looking to have a great time and interact with other people too.

Like you, we are new to cruising...this will be our first cruise. There is so much information out there...The research is like a part time job!

We wish your parents a very Happy Anniversary!!! We were married in 1983 also. Perhaps we can meet up and share a toast.

Hi all,
I guess now that we are getting closer, we'll have more postings.
My parents are celebrating their 52nd anniversary on March 2nd. Would it be too soon to celebrate it in the middle of December?? I would like to give them a little surprise. I just want to make this cruise special for them.:goodvibes

I am already freaking:scared1: and fighting off the urge to start packing. I will see things around the house that we may need (multi plug extension cords, bathing suits, camera cards, etc) and think "I need to put that in the suitcase"! I keep reminding my parents of what they will need, what we will be doing, etc. I think I'm driving them crazy, but my Dad is getting excited.
These three months are going to fly by very quickly.

Can't wait til December.... I wanna go NOW!!!:rotfl2:

HI everyone,

I came across this package you can add on to your cruise package. Looks like a pretty good deal if you were doing to do Palo, a bottle of wine and the spa anyway. One of the biggest perks for me is going to be able to book excursions 105 days out. I sent my TA an email tonight to see if it is still available. Thought I'd share the info if you didn't have it already.:) The breakfast in bed sounds good also....I'll have to check out how early Disney's Oceaneer Lab opens!

Romantic Escape at Sea Add-on
Want to impress your significant other and add a little romance to your cruise? The "Romantic Escape at Sea" (REAS) add-on provides you with some nice extras for $359 per couple. It's available on any 3-, 4- or 7-night Disney Cruise, and on Land & Sea packages.

This would be a great package to combine with a Disney Cruise Line Wedding or Vow Renewal.

The REAS package includes:

Romantic gift amenity delivered to your stateroom (one per package, usually includes two one-size-fits-most robes, a bottle of champagne and chocolates)

Bottle of wine from the Premium Wine List (one night)

Tropical Rain Forest pass for two at the Vista Spa & Salon (length of cruise)

Priority seating at Palo (one dinner or brunch - package covers the usual nominal per-person fee)

Romance turndown service (one night)

Champagne breakfast in bed (one morning - this is a full breakfast, from a more extensive menu than the standard continental breakfast room service)

The retail value of the stateroom gift is $93. The bottle of wine is worth up to about $50. A Tropical Rain Forest pass costs $15 a day or $75 for a 7-day pass (per person), and the Palo fees for dinner normally total $30. There is some additional value in the upgraded room service breakfast and being pampered with the romance turndown service. Plus, you have the luxury of pre-booking everything early.* It's hard to put a dollar value on the REAS add-on.

*An unadvertised aspect of the Romantic Escape at Sea add-on is that you get to pre-book your Palo reservation(s), shore excursions and any spa services 105 days in advance of your cruise (the same time frame as passengers staying in suites!), as long as you've paid for your cruise in full. Only the cost of one dinner at Palo is included in the package. The fees for additional Palo reservations, shore excursions and spa appointments aren't included in the package, but you can still book them 105 days in advance if you've purchased this add-on.

I do hope that it is still available:cloud9: My calendar says that on Thursday, we are 108 days out.

Hi everyone!

Just booked! My husband(48), myself (44), my two adult children, their spouses and my two granddaughters (5, 2) will be sailing on this cruise. We cruised on the Magic in May in the Walt Suite. This trip we will be in Category 12's (first time cruising without a verandah)... but as long as I'm on the ship I don't care where I sleep.

I'm so very excited to go. This will be our 7th time sailing on the Wonder. We have sailed on the Magic only twice. We will be spending three nights at Nickelodeon Family Suites after the cruise.

Hi Rhonda.

You guys have been on a few cruises. Did you do any of the Mexican Riveria Cruises out of CA? I told hubby today that if they are offered next summer, I will probably book one when they are offered. I guess they have been a hit over here.

This will be our first cruise and I really don't know what to expect. We purchased the Romance Package so we were able to book our excursions and book our Palo reservations today. So exciting. We chose brunch at Palo on our day at sea. Looked at old navigators to try to determine the best time to spare 1 1/2 hours and try not to miss anything. Not an easy thing to do with so many things going on the ship.

There are only 4 of us on our cruise. How nice for you to have your children and grandchildren with you. What a wonderful holiday treat.

I hope we talk again.

Hi Linda,

No, we have not done any of the Mexican Riveria Cruises out of CA. Actually.... each Disney Cruise we book is supposedly our last and then we end up booking again.

Palo Brunch is great. I think you will enjoy it very much. On this upcoming cruise we are going to relax without any reservations. I'm looking forward to having both of my children onboard as well as my granddaughters.

Also, I have never seen the ships decorated for Christmas. I'm looking forward to that as well.

I think the next few months are going to fly by....

I never got involved with the fish extenders. I know many people on my last cruise were buying the fish extenders from a woman who made them and sold them on ebay. Then one person on the thread would make a list of all of the families involved, along with their stateroom numbers, children's names and ages.
I panic enough with trying to make sure I have everything for the trip alone.. never mind worrying about packing little gifts for the fish extenders. So.. once again I most likely will not be involved.

I too, have not participated in the fish extenders. I guess I just don't get it. Although, I am planning to pack a little something extra for our host(ess) and wait staff. Just a little "Thank You" in addition to their tips.:goodvibes

I can't wait to see how the ship is decorated for the holidays. I understand they also decorate C.C. as well. Disney knows how to do it right!:woohoo:

Wow, eight days without power. I know what that feels like. We were about 10 days without water and a handful of days without power during the Loma Prieta earthquake. We lived on Treasure Island at the time and of course a section of the Bay bridge had collasped, so we got back and forth by boat a few days.

Hi everyone! My name is Pam and I live in Maine. I made reservations for this cruise only about 3 weeks ago. It will be me and my 23 year old daughter going. She is currently in Australia doing research (she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship) and she'll return home just before Thanksgiving. I wanted to do something special since she's been away since February, so I decided on a mother/daughter Disney cruise!

We've been to Disney World many times, but this will be the first cruise for both of us. We will arrive on Dec. 11th and will be at All Star Music for 3 nights before the cruise (I love it at Pop Century, but it was full). I planned and booked my own "land and sea" package and made my own flight reservations to help keep the cost down. Still, I feel very blessed to be able to do this whole trip!

I was happy to stumble on this site and find others that will be on the same cruise! I've learned some things already. I had read a little about putting magnets on cabin doors - but this fish hanger thing is new to me. I shall have to investigate it!

You won't see much razzle-dazzle on my posts since I am technically challenged. Thanks to your count downs, I now know how many days before we set sail!

Hi Pam I am

Welcome aboard. This will be our first cruise too. We are so looking forward to it. Good for you that you were able to get your ressies in place.

Australia has always been my dream destination! We wanted to go for our 10th anniversary, but hubby got transferred to London, so we went there instead. We are now going to celebrate our 25th and we still have not been. I would love to have a newspaper from Australia. It doesn't have to be too current. Have daughter bring one back and I would be ecstatic to find one in my fish hanger! (Please, please have daughter bring me a newspaper!)

I know that the Disney Wonder sailing 12/14-12/18 will be a great one and that the people on this board will get something going.

As far as excursions, we have booked the Castaway Cay getaway package with the snorkels, bikes, floaties and we also booked the double watercrafts.

I am on the fence about Nassau. We wanted to do the city tour, but it doesn't leave till after noon. So, I contacted another tour operator other than Disney and the price is better, you can customize the tour selecting the sites you want to see. I would prefer to tour early and explore after. If anyone else in interested in the private tour, pm me and I will let you know what the tour operator has offered. The bus seats 14.

We don't want to go to a water park, I want to see the local sites if I see anything. I know a lot of people rent a hotel room and do the Atlantis, but don't want to go to Nassau to do a water park. We'd like to tour and shop then go back to the ship. There are 4 of us here, so if there are others who would like to do an earlier tour, I'd be glad to host it. PM me if interested and I will send what info I have thus far and you can decide from there.

I am so excited about this trip. I haven't cruised yet, but I am already planning my second cruise. My countdown ticker is not going fast enough:)

Welcome Pam,
We are not planning anything on Nassau. Spending most of our $$$ on C.C. and on the ship. DH (45) and I (44) are escorting my elderly parents, so we are keeping it close to the boat.
We have the extreme getaway planned, and the watercraft tour as well. I'm hoping that we can split the getaway plan with my parents, as in allowing them to do the stingray thing while we take a bike tour. They can float while we snorkle. My dad use to ride motorcycles and currently rides a scooter (to my dismay:scared1: ) so I think he can handle a watercraft. Surprisingly, my mom said she would be willing to ride with my dad. This is either going to be really fun or really bad!
My DH said we could do anything we want as long as we don't miss lunch this time. On our first cruise, we spent several hours in the water snorkling and looking for Mickey that we pretty much missed lunch. We got the last pieces of cold chicken before they closed the doors and got the last of the ice cream before they started cleaning the machine. The bonus was, we also got double conch coolers. They were closing the bar and the bartender didn't want to waste it, so she gave me two cups! YUM!:goodvibes My HD took a picture of me and my two drinks and titled it "the lushie with the slushies". Looking forward to more of those!!!
By the way, 21 more sailings! I'm packing and HD is shaking his head:confused3

Adnil530, I'll see what I can do regarding the AUS newspaper.

I haven't planned any excursions for Nassau yet. I emailed my daughter, and she definitely wants to do something there - so we're looking into that now. She just returned to Tasmania after spending a week in Canberra (Australia's capitol) and she'll be leaving soon for a week in Cairns (she's going snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef!)

I feel like I'm kind of behind schedule (and disorganized) on planning since I've only recently made the decision to go on this cruise. Mostly, I want to relax! I told my daughter that some people choose to stay on board rather than go into Nassau and that we could keep that as an option.
Here was her email reply:

We're going to be in the Bahamas and you're thinking about staying on the boat?!?!

Okay, Jenna - I said it was ONE of the options! (I sent her the link to this page)

ArmandXG, is it safe to say you have a bit of apprehension about your parents' activities off the ship? I bet they'll do just fine! I always enjoy hearing about extended families that choose to travel together. That's quite special.

I am waiting for the 2009 Passporters book to be released so I can purchase it, and I know that will give me most of the information I want. I do have a couple questions that I really wish I had the answers to. If I may ask, I don't understand how the Palo's restaurant system works. I read that you get your restaurant assignments from your stateroom. How do people know what night is available to make reservations at Palo's if they don't know what their assignments are beforehand? And, can Palo's reservations be made in advance or is that part of the onboard stampede for ressies I've read about?
Also, I've stayed at several of Disney's resorts and have quite a collection of their souvenir mugs that you buy and can refill throughout your stay. Do they have mugs available on the ship for this kind of refill system? I guess drinks with meals are included but other times they must be purchased? And I mean drinks like coffee, iced tea, and soda. Any input would be appreciated!

Welcome aboard!!

There are free soft drinks on deck 9 at a refil station, no mug required.
Palo dining reservations for our cruise can be booked now through the my disney cruise portion on the website or you can call i believe! (don't quote me it's also my first cruise) I do know that you can book them though because it is up on my cruise portal.

Have you ordered the free cruise video? it has a lot of information and is so much fun to watch :)

I appreciate your reply. I had not even got started with the "my cruise" stuff on the DCL site. This is weird for me because I'm usually more organized than this. I've been to WDW for a Feb. vacation 14 years out of the last 15 years, and I've stayed on-site for all but one of those trips (once was enough!) So I really don't have to do much planning to go there since I know my way around. But it's finally sinking in (duh!) that I need to get it in gear since this is my first cruise. Your answers got me on the right path! I even made Palo ressies!

I also requested a dvd. I received an informational packet in the mail, but it didn't have the dvd. Plus, I'm getting the hang of DCL website, so that's a big help too. I narrowed my choice of a Nassau excursion to only 2 options, and I've done the same for Castaway Cay. Best of all - the more I learn, the more excited I'm getting to leave!

Thanks Pam I Am. That would be awesome and so appreciated:flower3:

We are getting so excited here. I think I'm going to pull out a suitcase and get some of our things on the packing list and stick them in there. Then I will at least know where they are.

Anyone interested in doing a fish extender exchange? Nothing fancy. I know they aren't normally done on the short cruises, but it will be the week before Christmas, so it would be a fun thing.

You can PM me or post your interest and we can see if we can get something going. Here is a link for fish extender giving etiquette: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1944142 If there is some interest, I'll be glad to try and organize it.

Hi Mickey Maniacs - we are on the "verge" of booking this cruise so I was just checking in. We've had a Navigator verandah before. It's more private than a regular verandah in that there is a solid wall and porthole shaped window area. But ours had a navigator map on it and it was fresh air (when our neighbor wasn't smoking) so it was enjoyable! Hope you have a great time and I'll be back when I know for sure we're booking this!

Question:

Has anyone ever done the land and sea cruise package before and if so, maybe you can answer this question: since they give you a 4 day hopper pass and the actual cruise package is only 3 days on land can I use the fourth day on the day I arrive since I booked an extra day pre-cruise package at the poly?
It seems like a waste!

thanks to anyone who can answer this question.

Yes you can. I was informed by my DU agent that the tickets are good for 14 days after 1st use. So we plan to use the last ticket for one of the 3 days we have after the cruise.:yay: :yay:

We are doing the Land/Sea package also staying at the Polynesian before we sail. We are not going to use our passes until we get back and are going to add a 2 days to the 4 day passes that we get. We are going to explore Downtown Disney and possibly do Blizzard Beach while at the resort and whatever else that may be happening outside of the parks. Everything should be all decorated for Christmas, it's going to be beautiful.

We don't arrive until later in the afternoon on the 11th, the 12th is our daughter's birthday (character breakfast and luau scheduled) and Saturday afternoon, my sister arrives so we don't even have an opportunity for 1 full day at the parks before we cruise. So it made better sense for us to use all the passes afterwards.

We are getting so excited. I feel like I am at the last minute planning stage. We are 46 days out!:dance3: My sister is not going on the cruise with us. She will be staying at one of the resorts with her daughter. This is their first trip to Disney World. Now, I keep all my information in one big binder...she is a fanatic planner. She has plans that she will follow when she gets to the parks. I guess there is a lot of that being done and there are books about it. But she wants to feel like she is "getting all that she can" out of the time she will be there. I'm going to be a little more laid back about it. It's going to be crowded and I realize we are not going to be able to see everything at the parks.

Now, on the cruise...I want to see and do everything!:rotfl: Now, I didn't think I needed a book, but I'm going to Borders today to get the Passporter Cruise Book so I can have a plan to follow! :lmao:

This is going to be so much fun.:goodvibes

 I've got to double check my wardrobe, help my parents pack, shop for booze, snacks (mom has food allergies),laundry supplies, new make-up, reserve wheelchair, reserve hotel before cruise, make sure spouse has all his doo-dads packed, make sure I have all door magnets for my door and parents door, clean van, set up babysitter for the kitty-girls, pay all bills in advance:scared1: I'm sure I'm forgetting something...
I need more time!!! On second thought... I wouldn't want to push the cruise back any further, so I'd just throw a clean pair of underwear and a toothbrush in a bag and leave tomorrow in a dirty van and let everyone else fend for themselves:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Hey fellow cruisers. We still haven't decided what to do in Nassau.

I found a walking tour that looks pretty good for those who are up to a long walk. It says it takes about 2 hours to walk and hits on the some of the most popular sites. Check it out: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/newprovidence/0251010008.html

Just thought I'd pass it along. If it sounds like something you'd like to do but don't want to do it alone, let me know and perhaps we can go as a group or something.

Like you and Tinkerbell*Xo, I still have a little bit of shopping to do myself :santa:

Hey everyone:wave:
I think I've got most of our stuff packed for the trip, you know all the excess accessories that everyone packs and never uses. I know I will need to add an extra bag or two for our clothing, but here's what we have packed so far:

Alright:rotfl2: , those aren't my bags but it sure feels like it might be close if I pack everything that is listed on some of those "you must bring" packing lists you find. This is actually a photo of a sculpture in the baggage area of the Sacramento International Airport. We will be seeing this sculpture when we return.

However, I am sure my DH will feel like he is lugging this much around:rotfl:

We are going to San Diego for a week to be with our oldest daughter and her family this Thanksgiving. Her husband was injured in Iraq last August and is recovering right now. Normally, they would travel to our house, but his mobility is limited and this will be a lot of fun for us. I don't think that we will be doing Disneyland while we are down there though. We are for sure going to the San Diego Zoo. My youngest girls haven't been there before. Mostly this is a visit rather than a vacation.

We will only have 11 days when we return before we leave for Florida

I was talking to a friend yesterday and realized that we are in our winter gear here, so there is no reason I cannot prepack the summer clothing. I got quite a few things on summer clearance these past few months. Got DD a nice set of clothes for Palo brunch. I just don't know what I am going to wear.

Many years ago, we went to Florida in November. Of course, it was very cold here, so without a second thought, I packed winter clothing. Even though it rained several days we were there, it was way too warm for winter clothing. I had to go out and buy several outfits for the kids so they didn't wilt away:laughing: So I am going to prepack their summer clothing today. Packing summer clothing will certainly make it easier to stay within baggage limits.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Just wanted to get in on the dancing!

I played hookie from work today so I could stay home and get stuff done before the trip. I need to get my house ready for the holidays BEFORE we leave. :thumbsup2
We just moved into our new home last year on Halloween (our anniversary). No celebrating that night:lmao: We bought a foreclosed home that needed alot of work (real cheap!) so we started doing the demolition way before we moved in. When our other house sold, we had to bug out quickly. Our home was the only one big enough for the entire family, so everyone decided to have Christmas at our new home, regardless of whether it was done or not.:scared1:
We were drywalling on Christmas eve, the tree went up at 3 a.m. and I was still stuffing presents in bags (love those gift bags!!! ) as people started to arrive. I still have a few decorations out that we never took down!:rolleyes1 This year, I am getting a jump on things.
When I get off that ship, I just want to go home and relax, knowing everything is DONE!!!:goodvibes

sounds like a Christmas you will ALWAYS remember. Hopefully this year won't be so stressful. We just discussed getting our holiday stuff out this weekend as we will be away over Thanksgiving, come home for a few days and then off on our cruise. Not much time in there to get festive. Well my XM HOLLY station started today. All Christmas music all the time. I am trying to get in the mood but when the temperature is still in the 80s it's not that easy!

I've already done the on-line check in. As I've done it before, I knew it would be a cinch. Just go to your reservation page on the DCL website and follow the easy instructions. You also have to print out a few copies to bring to the terminal. You will need your cruise contract signature form, your payment authorization form and medical form if needed. The medical form gets signed by your family doctor, then mailed to DCL.
Resort guests will be able to check in at the hospitality desk. I do believe there is a deadline for when all this needs to be done, so everyone needs to check, especially if you went through a T.A.
Thanks Linda for the reminder:goodvibes

just got a door sign made by one of the wonderful disigners here, lisabel. i am so excited! did anyone get their cruise packet yet? i went through dreams unlimited and am still waiting. i booked 2 cat 12 cabins so i can't wait to see my cabin assignment...

i haven't read anything anymore about fish extenders... would have been nice but i guess it's kind of late now to try to organize this.

anyways, we're going to have a blast on the wonder!!!

That's what I am waiting for...the actual package. I know I am going to get one...just waiting, and waiting. How far in advance do they send it out?

I can't wait for them to arrive and see if anyone gets any upgrades. That's gonna be fun!

I made our fish extender. It will be hung outside my door. I've hidden away little surprises in our suitcase to leave for our girls. I'm all for someone organizing one. I offered quite a ways back to do so and I am still willing. All you need to do is PM me with the names and ages of who is in your stateroom. I know there are a few who don't have room numbers yet, so that can come later. I'll organize the list and send it out to everyone. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just a small trinket or candy for kids (dollar tree has 7 chocolate wrapped santas for $1.00 giving 1 or 2 per child would be fine, not tons of candy, they also have party type of favors that kids enjoy), for the adults, perhaps a postcard from your hometown with some of the things you love about where you live. I would really enjoy that!

Let me know.

I'm lucky, I picked our rooms when we signed up for this cruise. I can't cruise without a varandah!:thumbsup2 We are in 5122 and parents are in 5622.
As we don't have children, we are opting out of the F.E. exchange, but it sounds like fun.
I only have 13 more working days left before vacation and two of them are possible 1/2 days.
My DH found out he has a quick business trip, so I had to undo some of the packing I had already done so I could pack for his solo trip first. I'm not a flyer, so now I'm panacking about his safety. He is flying into California, so I'm worried about earthquakes... there's not an earthquake season is there???:rotfl2: Hey, If he can ground me from riding my horse before vacation (fear of me breaking something) I can worry about him flying into a shaky state!:lmao:
I'm also doing the same for my parents... Don't get sick, Don't fall, Don't walk with a steak knife, run with scissors, ride your scooter to the quickie-mart, go down the stairs, fry anything, shower unsupervised... you get the point!:rotfl: It's all about safety before the cruise!!!!!:goodvibes

Right now I think CA has fire season right? It's good to be safe. I really don't like that I have to fly next week, but it's to go home to PA to see mom so I have to and I want to and it will be fine. :hippie:

Hi just recieved our doc's an hour ago, soooooooooooooo excited  like my daughter said earlier in the meet, this will be our tenth dcl cruise, the last 2 being on the Magic. Will enjoy seeing the new Toy Story show on board, last time on the Wonder was 2006. This will be a change for my daughter now that she is 18. She will surely miss the STACK!. DD met lots of friends there, and they still keep in touch, DD also has a video on you tube from last trip 2007 "Disney Magic Spring Break Cruise " Are there any college kids going? My DD is now a freshman at "FSU" "GO NOLES". :cheer2:

Doing the Doc Dance!
Almost missed it. They put it on top of a box we had sitting in the carport. The box was on it's way to the dump! Thankfully, DH spotted it.

My mother got a call from UPS at 6:30 this morning for directions to her house. Mind you, they live on a main road and it is NOT the first time UPS has delivered to their house. When I called her just after 7 p.m. they had not arrived. If I have to go to the hub to pick it up, I'm gonna be really ticked!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everybody has a safe and happy holiday!

Even though our stateroom is low and inside, we are both thrilled to be on a Disney cruise! It appears our room is under the clubs on deck 3, so I hope it won't be too noisy. I may bring my white noise machine just in case.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.;) I know we did. It was great to see my oldest daughter and her family this past week. If anyone is going to San Diego in the near future, we stayed in a RV in a RV park on Mission Bay. I had never done this before, but we rented the RV from a Charity organization. They drove the RV there, set it up and we stayed there for the week! We couldn't stay at my daughter's house because they have cats and my girls have allergies to cats. We were very pleased with the RV. The RV park is gated and we felt very secure. It was a wonderful time. Anyway, we rented it for the week and it cost less than 2/3 nights at a decent hotel.

Now it is time to get everything ready for the Florida trip. We can't wait!:dance3: I am getting so excited. We are staying at the Poly also, arriving on the 11th.

I know everyone is busy getting things ready for the Holidays, decorating and shopping, but I am all Disney right now. I don't have any shopping or decorating to do...just need to refresh the suitcase and go!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi everyone... I was just curious if anyone was charged for the fuel surcharge. Disney is going to offer on board credit for cruisers starting January 2009. I paid a $216 fuel surcharge that Disney will not be using on fuel now that prices have dropped. Did anyone else pay a surcharge?

I am going to email DCL as well as call tomorrow. I don't think Disney should refund some but not all. There is no reason for Disney to collect extra money from us for fuel if they do not need it for fuel.

There is a thread on the main forum page about the surcharge. I think that if we complain enough maybe we will all be refunded our money even if it is an on board credit.

Rhonda,

I was not charged a fuel charge for this cruise. I checked with my TA AAA today to make sure. We booked last April, before gasoline prices were so high and that could be the reason we weren't charged the fuel surcharge.

However, when talking to my AAA travel agent today she told me that they are giving the excess fuel charge as an onboard credit to everyone who was charged and you don't have to ask for it. Not being involved with the excessive fuel charge, I have no first hand knowledge, but I would certainly call DCL or my TA if I have been charged Fuel Charges. This is certainly a topic in our Transatlantic Cruise in 2010 as we have all been charged fuel surcharges and the talk is that we will be credited onboard credits???

Hi Jenna... Unfortunately I can't help you with the excursions. I've visited Nassau so many times that I've decided to just relax... As far as the Wonder. There was a storm which snapped the ropes that kept the ship tied to it's mooring. It broke free and the gangway fell but nobody was hurt. There are pictures posted on a thread on the main cruise forum.
Good luck with choosing your excursions in Nassau!

Hi Jenna,

We are doing a walking tour in Nassau. Nothing else sounded great. The bus tour leaves too late in the morning for us, so we will do the walking tour and get back to the ship on the early side as we have a couple's massage scheduled. One of the perks for being married 25 years!

As to what happened to the Wonder last Sunday, here is the thread along with photos. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2022493 Kind of a freak thing. My DH is retired Coast Guard...these type of things do not happen often. It really was a fluke of an accident.

Jenna, I am the person who wanted a newspaper from Austrailia. Can I bring you a newspaper from Sacramento or San Francisco:confused: I really appreciate your thinking of me and would like to reciprocate if at all possible. I can probably get some salt water taffy? Let me know. At any rate, we are in Stateroom 7556. You can PM me your stateroom # if you like so I can drop off taffy!

We leave one week from tomorrow, real early, like 4:00 a.m. early. Daughter has her birthday party this weekend.:wizard: After we get through that, it is all Disney from there:)

Thanks for the info on the Wonder. Yikes!

Linda/adnil530: thanks for offering, but it won't be necessary to bring me anything. We're in 2039 and the newspaper is on the packing list! We're still undecided about Nassau so not booking anything yet, but thanks for the invite and the info. Decisions, decisions...

Hello everyone....another work week for me (well I only worked one day this week--today--so can't complain too much) Central Florida weather has been beautiful. Cool in the mornings (50s) and in the 70s during the day. Quite a change from what I had up north for the last week. I'll keep you poasted. when does everyone arrive in Florida?

One more week!
I'm doing a little doc dance for my parents  :dance3::banana:
They just got their docs today! There was a mix up with UPS. I believe my folks gave the wrong directions (senility?:confused3 ) and the package was delivered to the wrong neighborhood. They had to do a backtrack to pick up the envelope... it was waiting on their doorstep when we got home today!:goodvibes
I took them out to get hair cuts & manicure. We then went out for lunch (early dinner). By the time we were heading back it was starting to get dark, so I took them for a little ride out in the country to show them a neighborhood that decorates the entire block with Christmas lights and decorations. It's very well done. They enjoyed that.
I think they are really getting excited now. I picked up their suitcase and went over some of the stuff they need for their carry on. They both said they were ready to leave tomorrow. This weekend is going to fly by, and I still have a lot to do. Luckily, I only have 3 and a half more working days left!
Let's get this party started!:rotfl:

We will be in next Thursday.:santa:

I only have 1 job scheduled next week and that is on Monday:yay: I may turn my cell phone off and ignore the business phone!:rotfl: Don't need to worry too much about emails...my outlook program crashed today. I can't bring it back to life, so I'll just drop it off next Wednesday at the computer shop and pick it up when I get back. Since my phone will be off, it won't pick up my emails either!

My daughter and I found out Friday that her cat has cancer. Her cat (Ashley, a Persian) had some dental problems and had surgery last Monday. We figured once the vet removed her problem tooth and she finished her antibiotics, we'd be all set.
On Friday the vet called. A gum tissue sample that was sent to a lab showed she has mouth cancer, and it could already be in her jaw.
Our cat is 16 yrs old, and my daughter Jenna got her 14 years ago. Although it's Jenna's cat, I've been home with her all these years while Jen was in school, college, Australia, etc. We are devasted. We know she's old, but had no idea she was so sick. The vet said she has 6 weeks to 6 months left-as long as she's eating. But, sadly - she's not eating well and has lost 2 lbs recently (out of 9 lbs.)

We've been crying our eyes out, and we don't know what to do about our upcoming trip. We leave Thursday for our land/sea vacation. Of course we've been looking forward to it and have been excited to go.
We had already made arrangements for Jenna's cousin to come stay here with the cat. But that was when we figured she'd be all back to normal from her sugery and meds. Jenna and I know Ashley will have excellent care and attention while we are away, but we also know the cat will be stressed that we are gone.
Also, there is the chance she could pass away while we are gone since she's not eating well. There is no easy answer to this.
Jenna and I know that if we go, this trip will have a gray cloud over it as we will be thinking (and worrying) about her cat. Even though I'm sure we would enjoy a lot about the trip, it just won't be the same.
My daughter chokes up when she thinks of not being home to help comfort her cat. This makes me sad too since the cat sleeps on my bed, and spends a lot of time getting attention from me. I'm sure those of you with pets know what I mean....14 years of bonding is a long time.

Thankfully, I purchased trip insurance -not through Disney but through TravelSafe (from a tip I got off these boards). I got a policy that allows me to cancel for any reason, so I wouldn't lose all the money I've paid. I just can't believe the timing of this, and that I'm even considering not going on this trip after looking forward to it all this time. But this thought keeps coming to my mind....Disney and DCL will be there next year, but Ashley won't. My apologies for the long post, it's nearly 2:00 am and I couldn't sleep. I guess just "talking" about it helped some. Thanks for listening.

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's cat. I totally understand what you are saying about DCL being there next year but the cat will not. Three years ago I lost two pug dogs we had for 17 and 18 years. They each passed in my arms while I rocked them 'to sleep'. They died within 3 days of each other because one couldn't live without the other. It was very difficult to deal with.
Is there a way you can postpone the trip through your insurance instead of canceling it?
Your family (especially Ashley) will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry.
Rhonda

I've lost many cherished pets through my life and it is always difficult. Fortunately you do have the insurance so you can do whatever feels right for everybody. I am so sorry you have such sad news to report, but isn't it nice that you can vent to the disboards? I will also be saying a prayer for you and Jenna and Ashley. Hang in there.

Thank you RhondaInMA and OKW93 for your kind words and prayers concerning our cat. They were very comforting.

My daughter and I spent most of the day going back and forth: pros and cons, should we, should we not, best case-worst case, etc. (pass the Advil please!)
Indecision is horrible.

I called my mother and, after speaking with her (and then listening) I feel better about going forward with our plans. The older I get, the wiser she seems! I know our sick kitty will be getting excellent care and tons of love from someone she knows. And even though she'll miss us, we will be back in a week. There are no guarantees, but we will hope and pray she hangs on while we're away (and hopefully much longer).

We fly to Orlando Thursday and we have SO much to do - we are so behind in packing...speaking for myself, I haven't even opened my suitcase yet! :scared1: Busy, busy, busy!!

See you all soon!

Pam & Jenna,

I am so sorry to hear about your beloved pet's illness. It is hard enough to leave them when we go on vacation so I can feel your anxiety. We had to leave our kitty Penelope for 2 1/2 years one time when we moved overseas. It was tough for sure. Our pets are members of the family. I wish her and you comfort.:grouphug:

Castaway Cay freezing!?! Pixie dust, pixiedust: pixie dust, pixiedust: pixie dust.pixiedust: for a warm Castaway Cay! We are signed up for the double watercrafts! Will they have wetsuits if it is cold???

It has been so cold here in the foothills of CA. The fog has been horrible for the valley, we are above the fog most of the time, but I work downhill and some of these places haven't seen sun for days. Fog, cold, brrrrr. I know it is colder in a lot of places. The daytime highs are in the low 50's around here. Ice on the windshield in the mornings. Not my idea of sunny California. The fog, overcast skies, depress me.

Went last night after dinner they went downstairs brought up my carseat BUT some crew member had cut the straps took one completely out and the back tether strap was gone. Will post more later have to go through security

We made it home last night by 11:30, showered and in bed by midnight.
We are planning a 7 day to make up for the four day we suffered through.
Actually, we did manage to enjoy ourselves. It just felt like a working vacation, having to keep up with my parents.
OKW, sorry we never met. It would have been nice to see someone from the Dis boards. I was a little disappointed to see very little door decorations around. I guess they're more popular on the 7 day and longer cruises.
Hope everyone had a fun time. I'm thinking of doing a trip report, photo's included. I have this great shot of my parents on a jet ski. That alone was worth the cost of the entire trip!
Maybe we'll meet up on another cruise.:goodvibes

We just had our Mickey ears on our door. We do get more festive on the longer cruises. I liked your Castaway poem! My dh got sick the first night after earlier at dinner when someone not feeling good did not quite make it out of the restaurant which wasn't a real pleasant dining experience. Four days goes by so quickly! But it was a nice getaway. And we certainly had decent weather ( after the first rocky night of course--I say that for those who did get sick--luckily I was fine). When is your 7 day? We re-booked our 2010 Transatlantic because we got a discount. That was nice. Well Happy Holidays and I'll look for that trip report.

We haven't actually narrowed it down yet, but are seriously considering a transatlantic. I wanted to re-book on the ship, but it takes some time and a lot of consideration for me to choose.
Glad you liked my poem. It was originally written for the Magic but I had to change it.
For those who didn't see it. Here is the original:
Oh let me be on Castaway Cay
Where the Magic can take me away
The sun, the sand, the sounds of a Calypso band
I wish I could spend more than a day...

I'm going to start on my trip report later today. Got to go get Christmas dinner and other stuff in a few!

Hi to all who may still be subscribing. We got back last Saturday (1/3/09) after spending an additional 2 1/2 weeks in Florida. We could not have asked for better weather!

The cruise was absolutely fantastic. We met Susan & Michael. We looked into rebooking the Westbound Transatlantic cruise we have booked for 9/2010, but category 3 or above is not eligible for the onboard booking discount so there would not be a reason to rebook that cruise for us. What we did was book a dummy booking, 2 category 5's that I hope to rebook for a westbound Panama crossing (possibly in 2011?). If not, I can cancel and get the deposit back.

I also met Joanne and her family briefly (she caught me and I caught her feeding the fish extenders!). I finally went over at dinner and introduced myself. The fish extender exchange was a great experience. All participants went beyond what was expected. It seemed that every time we left our stateroom we would come back and find a surprise in our extender. Such a treat. My daughters thought this was the norm...go away, come back and someone left something for you.

My special treat was the Australian newspaper left by Jenna. Many thanks go your way Jenna. It was such a thrill for me to read The Tasmanian! I truely appreciate that did that for me. You have no idea how much this simple request meant to me. I love reading. I like nonfiction and throughly enjoy newspapers, news talk radio and wake up to news on the TV. I read every word of that newspaper and will read it over and over again. Even the classifieds! What a joy and I thank you.

I am sorry that some had a problem with the high seas we experienced that first night. I have to say that I am so glad that we didn't. My tink*girl had a few moments, but they passed quickly.

I could go on for a few pages, but I only wanted to stop by and say Hi and parting is such sorrow. I can't wait for our next cruise! This trip for us was awesome and hope to do it again and again. Perhaps we will get our "own ship" here in CA in 2011.

Everyone take care,
Linda
